NE Style in FL! Love this beach. Solid waves, great sand and some basic utilities at the entrance(showers, bathrooms, path). As a New Englander, about to relo here, I was relived to find this beach. Reminds me of some Cape beaches(minus the numbing cold water). Look forward to many, many visits. And the houses on the beach? WOW!

I am at this beach far too often. I love it. It’s clean, well kept, has convenient bathroom stalls and showers available. My favorite part, though, is walking away with a pocket full of shark teeth each time I’m there.

I’ve only been to a few beaches here in Jax and this is my favorite. The crowd here is definitely different than say… Jax beach. Here it’s more laid back, lots of families with their babies and grandma and grandpa holding hands while walking the beach. Plus I love looking at all the big beautiful $ 1,000,000+ homes and wonder, «what to you do for a living to have that house?!» The sand here is not as fine as Atlantic beach but it’s a great place to look for sea shells. I’ve heard there are shark teeth but I have yet to see any, maybe I’m not looking hard enough. I love that there’s a free parking lot with bathrooms and shower heads to rinse of the sand. The parking on weekends can be tough, make sure to get there early. And if you plan on going on a holiday… Get there very early! Or you’ll have to park far far away and take the shuttle.

This beach is awesome. Love the sand bars and never too crowded. Parking during weekends can be a challenge, but this beach being closest to where we live is absolutely great!

Nice beach, free parking and not too crowded. The further away from the parking you walk the more empty the beach is. So if you are looking to have a section of beach to yourself you can just walk down a ways, the sand is soft and the sun shines. The day I went there we saw a very cool water spout off in the water.

My sister loves taking her kids to this beach. There’s a rinse off area so that makes it really convenient. The beach itself was crowded. I like more secluded beaches myself but the kids had fun.

Nice beach very peaceful and relaxing. I’m a photographer and was looking for a close area to shoot swimwear. It’s mainly a family beach but after a short walk down the beach you can easily find a private area. Great beach for families.

This is the closest beach to my home and I’ve never been until today. I literally zoomed in on the Unilocal map general area and searched for«beach» and Micklers was the closest to me. It’s a nice beach with amazing homes past the dunes. It’s very clean and though it seemed like there were a lot of people I always had space to myself. The free showers and restrooms are always a nice perk to have at a public park. The water was a refreshingly cold contrast to the humid hot air. I’ll be back very soon.

This was a lovely beach. The current was strong, so be careful. I loved the spray off areas out front and the locals and tourists were friendly. Easy to get to from the parking lot, and if you walk about 500 yards to the left or right, it isn’t crowded at all. Lots of seashells. No one minded that my daughter brought her horse. Er… um, I mean her Great Dane. Dogs allowed is always a plus.

My new favorite beach. Generally, all Jacksonville beaches are the same(ocean, sand, sun, etc) so the differences lie in the amenities. There is no Boardwalk area with a bunch of shops, but if your goal is the beach itself, this place is great. The bathrooms are great and at the edge of the parking lot before you take the walkway onto the sand. The outdoor showers are located there also, with a few benches to lay stuff on, or sit. If the parking lot is full, you can park on the road leading to it and walk on the sidewalk in the shade.

Plenty of parking on weekdays but fills up quickly on the weekend and holidays. Lifeguard stations during the season, this beach has facilities and is FREE. It’s a bit of a walk from your car so you’ll need some flip flops and something to carry your stuff. Soft sand, relentless waves and sunshine, what’s not to like?

I love this location! It’s about a 20 minute drive from my house, but it’s worth it! It’s a popular spot so it does get crowded quickly. I enjoy walking down the beach to find cool shells and shark teeth! You can bring your leashed dogs too. I haven’t personally been in the restrooms but I know they have them here. The beach & parking is free too!

Mickler’s is arguably my favorite public beach in the area. I love that I can bring my dog, my surfboard, fishing rod, and family to the same beach for free. The beach and the bathrooms have always been clean in my opinion. It’s very family friendly! They started a shuttle service program, where if the parking lot is packed(generally during the summer it is) you can park about a mile down the road and a friendly shuttle driver will pick you up and drop you off steps from the beach.

Great place in Ponte Vedra area to get to the beach, find a good spot, look for sharks teeth and relax. Seemed to be popular but has parking, showers, rest rooms, nice walkway to use and been out now 3 – 4 days. Watched sunrise and moonrise and just beautiful. Love this and PV beach.

This was my first visit to this beach I really stopped just to see the ocean from this part of Florida, after reading a few of the reviews I really want to take a short stroll down the beach to see if I could find a few shark teeth there are a few beaches on both coasts of Florida that these can be found in abundance so I definitely plan to spend more time here the next time I’m in the area. Today there was a wedding party on the beach complete with altar and chairs for the attendees when we arrive they were in the process of taking groups photos right near the board walk so we decided to move on and bookmark it for a return visit. It is a very beautiful beach…

I love heading out to Mickler’s more than any other beach in our area. You have to get there early to getting good parking but that being said they have a decent size parking lot so it’s not usually hard to find something. I like that there are areas to change and shower off and use the restroom if needed. They seem to be a dog friendly beach as I saw a lot of puppy dogs out there this last weekend(all on leashes). All around I just enjoy this area more than Jack Beach, Atlantic Beach or Neptune Beach so I think it’s worth the drive. Plus the drive is pretty.
