I was very disappointed in this place I thought the shrimp po boy was lacking taste and the shrimp tasted like they were pre battered and the bread was not french bread. I don’t think I will be back.

One of the best and freshest shrimp poboys I have had. Friendly and quick service. $ 9.73 for a good sized sandwich. Clean and simple café eating area. Will definitely come back.

Average tasting burgers and fries. I have not tried anything else on the menu. The only plus for this place is that they have Frostop root beer.

This is an excellent hole in the wall that will leave you craving more! Get the shrimp po’boy, it’s the best on the menu.

Good food at a reasonable price. Kinda like a FrostTop type menu. Dine there regularly.

Stopped in for a «to go» order. Headed from NOLA to Jackson, this is a must stop! Excellent shrimp po boy, onion rings with just the right breading, large sweet tea… down the road for $ 13.00. See you again on the next trip! Grandma’s are a little slow in the kitchen and maybe I’ll ask for light mayo next time, but that’s nit picking! Listed hours are wrong, I saw 9 – 9 for the deli.

Don’t go by the looks! I LOVE the shrimp poboys. I always go visit Bootsy’s when I am visiting Ponchatoula.

Consistently good food and good service! If you want an old fashioned burger, Bootsy’s is the place to go.

Huge, amazing ½ lb burger cheaper than Sonic! Sides include Potatoe salad or slaw, not just fries. Great lemonade & fresh brewed tea

Someone needs to tell the older blond haired lady that works there that it is RUDE to come in the dining area and talk about how bad the bathroom smells. Why didn’t she just spray some air freshener and keep her nasty and vile comments to herself? We lost our appetites and had to leave with to go boxes. I will say that what she lacked in class, the food made up for. It was delicious once we left and had a nice parking lot to eat in.

I stopped here at the suggestion of reviews on Unilocal and they came through with flying colors! I got the shrimp Po boy dressed with fries and a drink. The fries were less to be desired but the Po boy was out of this world! So glad I didn’t settle for Popeyes or McDonald’s when this diamond in the rough was right down the street. Highly recommended!

Some of the best food around. The catfish and burgers are exceptional. It’s a small wait for your food since its prepared fresh so calling in before getting there is recommended. Amazing.

I grew up about 2 ½ blocks from Bootsy’s. When I’m home visiting the fam, you better believe we’re picking up Bootsy’s on the way home from the airport. I crave their poboy’s — All. The. Time. They have truly come a long way since the old days when they kept the kitchen packed into the gas station section of the building. The food is good and it shows. I’ll forever be a patron to Bootsy’s. It’s my history! And it will forever be a staple to the history of Ponchy as well.

First time eating here. Good food and great service. The employees here are so nice it’s almost sickening. Menu contains po-boys, burgers, chicken tenders, seafood, gumbo, and other south Louisiana favorites. Prices are very reasonable. They also feature a breakfast menu and daily lunch specials.
