good sandwiches but they are overpriced and the staff is a bit rude. in a town with so many pizzerias, they really cannot afford that attitude

My daughter used to ride horses across the street at North Jersey Equestrian Center. Stefano’s was who we used for delivery when we wanted pizza. Normally I don’t like a pizza with too many toppings. But they make a pene pizza with vodka sauce that is incredible! You’re never sure if you should start eating it with a fork or the traditional way.
One night we all decided to go and eat there. There were about 12 of us. Our server was very friendly and had no problem pushing a few tables together for our group.
The fried calamari was cooked to perfection. Sometimes it’s rubbery meaning it was overcooked. Not here. They did it up right and it was light and tender. For my main I got the Veal Saltimbocca. It was delicious! Tender, thinly pounded slices of veal over a bed of spinache with mashed potatoes spread out under that. I would definitely get that again!

I’ve always enjoyed the food, especially on the restaurant side. The service has always been very slow, but the last time we went it was normal. The service on the Pizzeria side is consistently good, so we like to go there during the summer and sit outside. Both the Pizzeria and Restaurant are BYOB, another plus. If the Restaurant service has truly improved, we will be going there more often.

My family and I tried Stefano’s restaurant for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised how delicious the food was. I had the special… Sea bass stuffed with lump crab over spinach which was cooked to perfection and very nicely plated. My wife had the eggplant parmigiana that was very tender and tasty. My kids each had a pasta they enjoyed… Penne and Vodka sauce with shrimp and cheese tortellini with peas in a light cream sauce. The service was excellent too. We will definitely try it again!

Ordered chicken wings and garlic bread. Food was good but in the menu the picture of wings are naked but when it’s delivered they are heavily breaded. I prefer naked wings. Food tasted good nonetheless. Wasn’t crazy about the garlic bread either. Delivery was quick, food was well heated, but my drink was not cold… at all.

Recently came here for a rehearsal dinner for a wedding and everything was beautifully set up.
They were very friendly and lenient with how the couple wanted to place everything and the service was very friendly. The servers were cooperative
and understanding of the big party at the restaurant. The food was good even though, they were very timely spaced about but it was nice that I wasn’t too full before the next course came out.
The vodka penne was AMAZING, I wish I had more! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone

Fantastic food! everything is served with class and tastes amazing!

Been here a few times over the past few weeks. Small pizza joint attached to a small restaurant which I haven’t tried. Always a handful of specialty pies on display. Have tried a few different kinds and every one has been really excellent. Right on the highway, tucked back off the road so you might miss but worth a stop if you are heading down 23 south.

I came here with my wife this past winter and was pleasantly surprised. First, we dine on the restaurant side (not pizzeria side). The wait staff was very knowledgeable with detail about their 8 specials for the evening. The prices on the menu are moderately low for the quality of food you receive, but the specials are not cheap (about 30−50% more).
I would suggest to sticking with the menu items as the quality of food and portion size does not differ. I will be coming back to this establishment in the future. I’d give restaurant 4.5 stars.
I ordered pizza here recently and I’d give it 3.5 stars. It didn’t wow me and was a bit more expensive than several neighboring establishments. I ordered a house specialty (I believe that’s what they called it. Basically everything) and it held up well but the crust was a bit doughy and they could have put more toppings on a $ 19 – 20 dollar pie. The taste of the sauce was satisfactory.
I will not go out of my way to order a pie from here, but I’d eat it and have no major complaints. So many pizza joints in area, you have to be on top of your game to make me continue ordering from your establishment.

We’ve been going here a little more ever since our local, around-​the-​corner favorite BYOB changed owners… It’s a BYOB so that’s a plus and the food is pretty decent (our favorite place was better, but Stefano’s is sufficient). I’ve only been to the restaurant; there is a sit down pizza restaurant attached to the restaurant. We usually ask for Jerry to be our waiter — he is very pleasant (and from our former absolute favorite place, which is also no longer in business) but be fore-​warned– he has a very thick accent and unless you are looking at him while he recites the specials, you may not understand him — but any of the food — specials or off the menu, will be quite tasty and plentiful. Most entrees are served with salad or pasta (last time I had asked for the pasta, but I was brought a salad instead — no worries, but I really wanted the pasta) I have had various dishes here and have been very satisfied with all of them. I also highly recommend the flambé desserts, which are prepared tableside and served with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream (they flambé mango and/​or pineapple — YUM!) Prices are very comparable with other BYOBs in the area. (they also have a large room in the back which you can request for a private party — we had my nieces birthday dinner last year and comfortably accommodated around 15 of us) And they also cater (haven’t dealt with any catering, but I’m sure it would be fine)

A nice place. I personally like thick pizza but their slices are great! They don’t make it so hot that you have to wait 10 mins to eat it. Staff is very friendly.

My family gets pizza from Stefano’s on a regular basis. Kids love the barbeque pulled pork pizza and I love all the varieties. The catering menu is really what we think is outstanding. My wife works with some discerning authentic Italians and they always rave about the food we order for parties. Our go to catering order is penne vodka, eggplant rollatini, chicken franchese and the rigatoni Stefano. If ordering on or near a holiday, plan ahead and build in some fudge factor time. They are always busy those times.

After last nights dinner I’d have to say this is a nice local place with nice people, good food and good prices. The seafood in the seafood salad app was a little waterlogged but overall was good. My wife’s rigatoni with sausage was excellent with some nice kick. I had a seafood pasta special that was super good and had lots of fresh seafood. We will be back!

Food is great, probably one of my more favorite Italian pizza places.

I’ve heard such great things about this place, so I was excited that we had a family party in the private room to try it out for the first time. I don’t know what is wrong with the other reviewers’ taste buds. The food was awful. Stuffed Artichoke should not be a special if you cant get meaty artichokes. It tasted like paper drowned in breadcrumbs and broth. The only thing that was good was the calamari, but we ran out of the two tablespoons of sauce they provided in 30 seconds and were never brought more. The specials were said very quickly and in an accent too thick to decipher the ingredients. We asked questions, had the items repeated but still remained confused about what was being offered. Despite this I ordered the Sea Bass special. Served over sauteed spinach with portabello mushrooms in a champagne sauce. Now that I am writing it out I do not even know why I ordered it! That Champagne sauce included gorgonzola cheese which was dreadful. It felt like they were trying to cover the fishy flavor of the clearly previously frozen fish. The side of mashed potatoes tasted like they came out of a box. I’d say stick to the traditional Italian dishes, however my husband’s order of Fusilli was more like long worms of pasta that didn’t taste homemade and the sauce seemed like it was soaking into the noodles instead of coating them. I’ve had better meals at Olive Garden and I hate Olive Garden! Service was actually pretty attentive considering we only had the one waiter for 30 people, but delivery of our food was not timely.

Very good meal. We had stuffed artichoke and at stuffed portobello mushroom for appetizer. Delicious. Then I had Veal milanese and husband had a salmon with shrimp and scallops. Sauces were delicious on everything. Great night. Byob

If you are looking for a delicious authentic pizza don’t look here. This was the worst pizza I ever tried. The crust was soft and gummy. This was not a hand tossed pie. It had the look of a frozen crust. A frozen Tree Tavern pizza is better and crispier than this. The food in the sit down area may be much better .I can not attest to that since all I had was the pizza. My family an I had 2 pizzas and both equally bad. There is much better pizza to be found within a 2 minute drive from this location.

Went with a group of. 8 guys. They put at us a great table in the back room .
The waiter was great. I got the fish pasta special the dish was good but my lobster was a little over cooked.
I would have given a 4 but service was a bit slow

Don’t be in a rush. Food is tasty but they have a lax attitude when it comes to speed lol.
For me they have good food but they over-​sauce a lot of things. Don’t get me wrong, I load up the sauce on my pasta but I don’t need my grilled seafood platter loaded with the Chef’s Special orange sauce”. Plus the flavors didn’t merge properly with the dish. But they have decent portions, good food & decent service. Like I said they aren’t slow by fault, it’s more of a laid back atmosphere.

Decided to try this restaurant for the Hubby’s 50^th birthday with a group of 12 on a Saturday night– the parking lot is always crowded and we have been wanting to try this place for a long time. What a disappointment!
The waiter was very attentive (that is usually a plus in my book) and since we were a large party, he asked if we would like A platter of hot and cold appetizers. I said yes — great idea! Out comes FOUR platters of food and that I was charged $ 130.00 for. I truly feel like I was taken advantage of! He offered ONE platter– not $ 130.00 worth of appetizers for 12 people!
The appetizers were tasty– but that was quite an expensive way to start the meal!
Good thing the appetizers were tasty, because the food was swimming in sauces and not at all what I expected. (especially since three of our meals were served 10 minutes after the other nine got their food)
To top it all off– they charged me $ 1.50 per person to serve the birthday cake that I brought into the restaurant. I understand that some high end hotels and restaurants do that … just wasn’t expecting that from a local BYOB! AND it would have been appreciated if they told me that when I asked on the phone if I could bring a cake and they said YES.
Then, the waiter asks me if the service was okay since I didn’t leave him the customary 18% tip for large parties. WHAT NERVE!
Overall, Not a good experience and needless to say we will not be returning.
