Found this gem of a place a few years ago. I stormed out of Blend on RT23 in Wayne. I went in for my appt and the girl told me I was a week early. I advise her there has to be a mistake. Its for today. She said NO and was rude. I said to her I think the girl made a mistake on the date. she said it was her(JEN) and I dont make mistakes. I said why would I make an appt for my hair when I know Im going to be on vacation??? She just looked at me. I has my travel docs on me and showed her. she said there was nothing she could do… no sorry. nothing. said they were booked. and there was only 2 people in there at 1130am. really? So I left went home and found a post card in the mail for Hair and US. It said $ 17.00 for a hair cut! What? I was paying $ 45.00 at Blend! So I called not expecting to get an appointment on a Saturday at last minute. but they said no problem and come in. I went in and everyone was so nice … Margie was the one who cut my hair. she acutally was done for the day but waited for me. I had the best hair cut ever and the way she blew out my hair was amazing. My husband loved it. he said its nice and simple and not overdone… Blend would blow out my hair and it always looked like I had a helmet on. I now go back every 6 weeks and always get a great hair cut… Now my friend and her Mom goes too. I also had hi lites done by Lorraine. aewsome job both times.(Margie wasnt doing hi lites at the time) There prices are great and its affordale to go back every 6 weeks… Love. love. this place!!!

In all fairness, Lorraine did a great job on my perm. I went back for color for myself and my daughter; that she botched up royally. I did not pay for both and one of the owners offered her services to fix it, but my daughter’s hair was so bad, we had to get it redone right away; and she did not want to go back there. I don’t know what happened but it seemed to me that she did not know how to color hair to save her life. It’s sad because I really thought she was so great after the perm. I know everyone has their pros and cons, but don’t color hair if you don’t know how to do it well. I hate to give a bad review, but she really deserves it for the color jobs. She just did not listen to what I wanted in my hair color; I gave her the exact shade and she decided to do something else. I told her I loved the color I had and just needed a touch up; she told me my hair was brassy and we needed to use a neutral shade and go from there. I had so many compliments on my color before and I thought it looked great too. It was not brassy; the color she put in looked so washed out on me. I had to buy the box color and color over it. I wasn’t even worried about my hair because my daughter’s hair was just so atrocious. My daughter had beautiful dirty blonde and bleach blonde underneath her hair in the back underneath on her bangs. It looked absolutely gorgeous on her. She was stunning. The color was growing out and she needed a touch up. The person who did it was not available. She colors from home and is not close by. I thought how hard could it be to get this touched up. Well, first Lorraine colored the roots, she did not strip her brown hair, she just put color on the roots, not only did her roots turn out orange but she left a line of dark brown that she did not cover. So her hair was orange, dark brown strip and then blonde on the end. It looked horrible. I showed her this and she kept trying to blame it on my daughter, saying she was just doing what she had asked for. Really? So then she overbleached her hair and made her look like a skunk stripping her entire bang. She looked so ridicuous. There was a faint patch on the side that looked like some of the bleach accidentally got there. She did not want to go to school and we had to color it over again immediately. It was so so so so bad.
