Went to the range on a Sunday afternoon and although the place was packed I didn’t have to wait long. After my visit to the range I decided to buy a handgun. Not knowing much about weapons, other then by name, I asked around, went to a gun show, did some research online, and compared prices. My second visit to the range was on a weekday, after work. No lines, no waiting. When I was done shooting I approached the young lady behind the counter and inquired about a specific gun. She was nice, helpful, and answered my questions patiently. The price tag was a bit high in comparison with other gun shops but they worked with me. Over all — no complaints. Will go back.

Horrible customer service. Wow, to be honest we thought we had a good deal through groupon and unfortunately we were told the 60 rounds was between us both. On top of that we had very unhappy clerks and service. It was evident they did not like us or want us there. Especially the teenage brat behind the counter that may have had a lower IQ than my beta fish gave me an attitude and slammed my things on the counter telling me to «have a nice day» in an F off tone. I do not recommend this place.

This gun shop is unfortunately the biggest in the area. The prices are way more than other smaller shops. I am giving it 1 star because of the prices and that goes for EVERYTHING. Their«blue label» pricing is a little more than others as well which is crazy because they should be the same everywhere you go. Called yesterday to have a background check and a gun transferred to someone else. They advised $ 61.00. I called another shop right down the street and it was $ 30 for the same exact process through FDLE. Nice range but once again too expensive. I realize they have to pay for a bigger shop but I think they nickel and dime people with unnecessary pricing.

Bullseye! Great shooting range with reasonable prices. Highlights: Great selection of rentals, Not very crowded with ample lanes, Secure, Reasonably priced, Friendly customer service and Decent sized parking lot. Can improve: Phone customer service. When we first walked in to redeem our groupon, the first response we received was we cannot redeem it unless it is over 24 hours. I mentioned that I called before I bought the deal, so this is something they could have made us aware on the phone. In the end, everything worked out well and our trip was not wasted. Benchmark: I am not an avid shooter, this is something I would do with a friend or a relative once a year or two. So in my book they were great but can’t really compare to any other range. We took aim on July 2015 and would definately return.

This place is THEBEST in the area. Ventilated, Air Conditioned, 65′ range, and they’ll let you shoot everything up to .50 cal which you can rent from the range if you’d like. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Rates are relatively low and affordable, couldn’t ask for a better range. Weather you’re A first time shooter or a seasoned vet, they have everything you need to know or want to know. You won’t egret shooting here

Came in with the girl, as she bought me a Groupon for Christmas and we still hadn’t used it(it took a lot to come up to Pompano for the day lol). We walked in and the guys behind the counter on the left brushed us off like the lowly women we were and sent us over to the range side(hoping you can denote my sarcasm here). The two guys who helped us there were very patient and explained everything to us like we were intelligent human beings, which I appreciated, but I did need him to go over putting in the magazine just one more time. They give you some standard target, but I wanted the zombie guy, so I switched mine out(I think the other targets cost like a dollar each??). We went in and as a first timer, it was SO exhilarating! It was loud, and scary, and I loved every second of it! I also realized I’m a pretty good shot. Not perfect, but I hit my zombie in the middle of the forehead on the first try! Afterward, I inquired with the guys about eventually purchasing a gun. I’m definitely not ready for that yet, I respect it too much, but we want to be ready for the zombie apocalypse. They were, once again, extremely helpful, and I’m glad we went. When finished there, we went upstairs to channel our inner Katniss Everdeen and were able to watch a young girl have her first archery lesson. The teacher was very patient with her. We have to go back for the archery, at least to see if we’re any good.

I had another review removed because of lack of content. I have personally had their clerks spread misinformation about different brands of guns to my face. The range rental cost is very high compared to another range nearbye on Powerline. The same staff members who lied to me and my friends were also very rude to some young women who wanted to shoot and questioned their training level despite the ladies being cops. Poor customer service and poorly trained staff keep me and many I know away from there.

I found this place on google before landing @ Ft. Lauderdale from New York. I had never held a gun in my hand and I had no idea how the shooting range worked. Upon arriving the instructor had me and a friend watch a safety video. The instructor then allowed us to pick any gun we wanted, $ 12 for hand guns and $ 20 for rifles, which I thought was an amazing price, and then $ 29 for 50 rounds. He told us what to do and how t do it and we just started shooting. It was really fun and I would deff do it again. My gun+rounds+ hourly charge + target paper and ear muffs and glasses totaled up to $ 58, which I thought was a good price compared to the othet places, even though my friend found it to be expensive. I enjoyed myself and would deff go again.

Decent place, they claim to have 15 lanes for the range and that there are two floors, but they had people waiting for lanes downstairs and no one upstairs. They might have been understaffed, which in my opinion on a Sunday, they should know better. The range master who was supposed to be fixing the lanes and watching for safety violations was too busy pretending to know how to shoot and trying to teach a girl in the police academy. He didn’t know what he was talking about. Be weary of the young muscular black kid, he’s an idiot.

I love coming to this range! I always go with my friends and we have a blast shooting cool guns. I took the weapon conceal course and it was no joke, the staff is professional and serious about this all the time, so if you have a soft side then owning a gun is not for you! I definitely learned a lot about gun safety, use, and the laws of owning a weapon. I will def be back and will recommend this to anyone!

Outstanding establishment! Friendly staff, clean, comfortable range, lots of firearms to select from, and competitive prices. Justin built me two battle rifles and they are awesome! Both shoot straight and look amazing. Highly recommend national armory to all enthusiasts, and I will buy more firearms from them even though it’s quite a commute for me. RMU

Had a good time here this weekend. A friend and I decided to do some archery. I’ve never shot a bow in my life but I’m all for new experiences. The place is a two story building with the shooting range, guns for sale and other merchandise on the first floor and archery on the second. Since this was my first time shooting a bow I was recommended a 20 lb compound bow. It did the job but I definitely want to test out the 50 lb next time. The area is nice and accommodates up to 4 just fine and air conditioned. They have a bunch of different lifesize foam targets at different levels of difficulty and distance. There’s deer, a boar, turkey, beavers, bear, alligator, armadillo. …plenty of things to shoot at to your hearts content. The staff there will periodically check up and make sure your having a good time and answer any questions you might have. Overall it was more fun than I thought it would be and I’ll definitely be back.

Bang bang shoot em’ up! What a fun time we had coming here. Man listen, if you need to release some frustration, instead of spending the night in jail because you punched a person in the face, just shoot a gun at a target! We came here because my niece brought a Groupon for 1 hour and we shot around and had a great time before heading to the beach. It goes like this: 1) Sign necessary paper work and pay. 2) Watch 10 minute video on safety and protection. 3) Select eye and ear protection gear. 4) Select your target –They have a plethora of different targets. We chose hot pink. Typical. 5) Go into the shooting room and one of the employees properly shows you how to load, hold and shoot the gun. 6) *Optional* Have a mini panic attack because if someone else shoots its loud as shit and will most likely startle you. 7) Shoot and have funnnnnnn! — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — Additional info: — Wear comfy lightweight clothes because the room gets super hot. — There are approx. 10 – 12 lanes. — Once you shoot be careful because sometimes shell casings may hit you and they will burn. One guy in there had one of the empty shell casings land between the safety goggles and his eyebrow. — No drinks allowed inside the room. — Additional earplugs are available upon request. — Walt and Liz were working that day and they are friendly and cool as shit!

Having never been to a gun range before, I was incredibly thankful for the staff’s knowledge, guidance and patience. This seems quite obvious, but it is LOUD inside. A little pointer in case someone else has not considered that. The staff assisted us in instruction of proper weapon handling, proper way to load and unload the weapon and most importantly the safety guidelines for practicing with a weapon. We purchased a group coupon-ing deal which made our first visit, relatively inexpensive. More importantly than having an enjoyable experience, it provided us with the proper knowledge of gun safety.

Not being the semiautomatic extended clip type of gun shooter I always find myself somewhat out of place at any range or gun shop I’ve found in the area and National Gun is no exception. The semiautomatics and defensive or maybe offensive weapons far out number the sporting or target guns. Then there are the silhouette targets and I really don’t get this at all. Besides have targets of human silhouettes, there are targets of threatening zombies, robots and even some alien looking space creatures. Srsly! WTF? Could these shooters, most of them barely past the age of adolescence really be practicing against a potential home invasion of zombies or in South Florida have gun ranges become confused with video arcades? Either I can’t figure it or maybe the South Florida drug problem is in fact more serious than I had thought. I’m used to silhouettes of a deer, a turkey, a rabbit or something like that since I am generally accustomed to shooting at something that would somewhat resemble what will later show up on my dinner plate. Anyway, I can’t knock National Gun about that since I’ve been to a number of indoor gun ranges and with the possible exception of Bass Pro they are all pretty much the same when it comes to those matters. However, there is a distinct difference between National Gun and most of the other shops and that is that the staff seems knowledgeable, understanding, friendly, polite and best of all you are allowed to shot just about any handgun or rifle including, as I was advised, a double barrel 577 Holland and Holland Nitro Express, a 7 mm STW, and even a .50 Browning; though I wouldn’t particularly care to do that at an indoor range. They also have a decent selection of used guns for sale, but I thought somewhat pricey for what they were, along with a few collectables such as an old colt or two and couple of Lugers, but if you’ve ever shot a Luger it might give you a hint as to why Germany lost the war. Hence, although I’m just not their type of shooter I certainly can’t hold that against them and because they do seem to be a notch above the multitude of other indoor gun ranges I’ve been to and fired at in South Florida, FOURSTARS.
