Yum, yum, yummy-yum-yum. Yum, yummy, yummity, yum-yum. Good service, nice people, wide variety, and, at the risk of becoming repetitive, yummy, yummy, yummy, yum-yum.

Too overpriced for mediocre. I have tried to give them the benefit of doubt, but been several times now and has been same each time — they skimp on the veggies on the sub, was very basic for $ 10, better off going to LaSpada or Publix for almost anywhere for a sub than here. Had the pasta fagioli soup, was very basic, again $ 8 for quart that should have been 6 max. While the meats might be quality, that arent that quality and way over charge. They trying talking up their stuff likes its so fantastic, but its really just normal. i am not going back anymore.

In town for a golf outing and looking for an option to eating out again. Found Guidos on Unilocal and gave it a try. Picked up 2 Angus strip steaks and some store made rub. Steaks grilled up great and rub added a great taste. 2 steaks enough to feed 4 golfers. Plan on going back again before leaving town.

This takes me back to my mom’s butcher. These guys have it all… hand crafted mozzarella, best Cannoli on the east coast, amazing tiramisu, home baked bread. Their cuts of meat are prime. I bought a butterflied lamb for Easter. The best. They know where these animals came from(I’m a vegetarian(what yes I cook meat for others) only because I don’t want to eat the grocery store beef that has been fed a diet that is primarily chicken poop. yep that’s a fact you probably didn’t want to know). They take pride in their food, their everything. And when you need a nice meal for out of town guests but you’ve worked all day? Pick up their home made snapper francese with a side of asparagus, some stuffed baked potatoes, and you are a hero. Tonight I stopped by for their chicken cutlets to make my own Marsala, but bought the asparagus and cannoli to round out the meal. I also picked up some tomatoes for my salad. Their grocery holds amazing Italian oils and pastas for special cooking. They also offer home made lasagna, meat loaf, chicken dishes, unbelievable choices for good meals. Oh they have a total deli, too! Yes you might think they are pricey. You get what you pay for. These guys are the real deal!

These guys are great. We got there late on the day of the Ft Lauderdale boat parade after they closed up the sub shop but they still made up two subs for us. All the food there looks terrific. The shop is hard to see from the main roads, but keep looking! Its worth it!

THEBEST! I have been going here for 20 years. I drive from three towns away just for a sub, great meat, great staff, always the best ingredients.

Somewhat hidden in a Pompano strip mall, Guido’s is a small family owned Italian butcher shop and deli. They offer a wonderful selection of quality meats, and homemade food. You can get everything you need for a special dinner here: — Butcher to order steaks — Chicken — Homemade Sausages — Deli salads: Chicken Salad, Tuna Salad, Potato Salad, Macaroni Salad — Homemade Chicken Soup, Pasta fagioli — Aged Gorgonzola — Fresh Mozzarella — Homemade Lasagna, Stuffed Shells, Chicken Marsala, Baked Ziti — Homemade Meatballs — Homemade marinara sauce — Olives — Roasted red Italian peppers — Cannolis, Tiramisu In addition the market has with canned sauces, olive oils, breads, pastas, and so much more. The deli offers a huge selection of meats and cheeses sliced to order, they can also create deli platter with your selection of cheese and meats if you are entertaining. I keep on hearing that they also prepare the best rare Roast Beef subs so I need to go back to try them.

I heard that if you love Prosciutto di Parma, this is the place to go. OMG! It was delicate and cut«like buttah». Dominic Guido was so hospitable while I was waiting for someone — he gave me slices of Prosciutto to taste, as well as other meats and his homemade bread. He’s a character — and a generous one at that. I’ll be back for another Prosciutto fix soon!

Best and biggest subs, hands down. Service is always fast and phenomenal. Fresh, high quality meat. Their chicken salad is to die for. It’s tucked away in this little plaza, I would have never known about it if I didn’t live 2 minutes away. They also have handmade desserts. You cannot go wrong here.

How does a place exist for 27 years and yet still seem completely invisible? That is the case with Guido’s. It is a straight forward Italian market tucked away in a forgotten plaza on the border between Pompano and Ft Lauderdale. It is less than a mile from my home but I do not think I would have ever found this place without Unilocal. They have a wide variety of meats, cheeses and Italian delicacies. Almost everything seems to be made in house or imported/sourced from like minded vendors. They even had Mimi’s Ravioli’s which comes from another great local Italian market. The service is very friendly and you can tell that they take a lot of pride in their craft and their establishment. They suggested the Roast Beef & Turkey Sandwich both of which were of course roasted in house. They did not steer me wrong and I enjoyed the delicious meats, fresh veggies and excellent bread. The 10 inch sandwich ended up being very substantial but not inexpensive, if you add cheese it puts you over $ 10 but it is definitely worth the price. I also tried their house-made sausage(Fantastic! with a snappy casing and just enough spiciness.) and the fresh Mozzarella(unfortunately, a bit bland, even by mozzarella standards).

Always have loved this deli. They have so much different food its crazy. I once bought a goose here to cook on Thanksgiving. Very clean and helpful in a Jersey type of way. Lunch time is great for real sandwichs and subs.

This is a great little italian market… excellent fresh meats and sandwiches… the Roaste beef is the best. It’s not cheap… but you get what you pay for… if you in the area. it is worth a stop. Reminds me of old Italian market you’d find in a real city.

Had a great first encounter @ Guidos today with Dominic, he is the coolest Italian you will ever meet, zero attitude, we had a great confab about wines, the old country, & a lot of their wonderful food items. Dropped in for one of their Italian subs on stellar recommendations from co-workers. Ended up leaving with eggplant parm sub, Italian sausage, cannolis, &NY frankfurters! The sub was off the hook, I expected this to be really, really good after speaking with Dom & his brother, & looking through the deli glass at all of the mouthwatering goods. It did not disappoint! Needless to say I will be returning for all of my Italian necessities, Lorenzo’s in Miami bit the dust ages ago, this place is like Lorenzo’s was 40 some odd years back. See you next week Dom!

Went there tonight 10 minutes before closing. Very helpful and treated me like I was there during normal hours and didn’t rush me out. Ended up with some really nice filets that were very good. Nice marble and very juicy and flavorful. My first time and not my last

If you are looking for an old style Italian deli you have just found it! They are family owned and operated would should tell you it all right there! They are also an amazing butcher shop as well. They make great sandwiches on fresh-baked Italian hard bread. They also make their own roast-beef and other deli meats in-house. You will not find places like this around too much anymore! I highly recommend it!

This is an amazing Italian Deli hidden away off the beaten path. The roast beef sandwich is the best around in my opinion — Laspada’s are larger, but the quality of the roast beef here is as good as it gets. The filet mignon is also top quality.

Located in Pompano Plaza, Guido’s, though somewhat of a hole in the wall itself, tends to be the shinning gem of what is actually has the appearance of being an older failing strip mall than a shopping plaza. I really like Guido’s since it is about as good, friendly and as Italian as an Italian deli and market can get. The service is great, accommodating as well as helpful with really fresh hand crafted custom cuts of everything, great sandwiches plus a nice array of canned tomatoes and other Italian food preparation ingredients. If you’re going to prepare a meal of «real Italian,» Guido’s can easily make your shopping a one stop shopping affair.
