Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens

I have several loved ones buried there in the mosoleums. The grounds are no longer kept up and the two story mosoleum is filthy dirty and rusting. It’s a mess! They have cut corners to the max. Stay away if you can. If you’re thinking of preplanning take a good look around. I’m guessing that once this company is close to selling all the plots they stop the maintenance. It’s really horrible.

After 6 hours of pre-​planning months ago, my mothers viewing and service were held here several weeks ago. The grounds and building are lovely. However, the funeral director, who was a very young girl was completely inefficient. I have never experienced anyone doing their job so poorly. There were so many details that she neglected to discuss with me prior to that day, such as centerpieces for the luncheon to follow, tipping for the wait staff, and most importantly, if my family wanted to view the lowering of the casket at graveside. She was not in attendance in the chapel after the service, not there to direct any of the family and friends. What recourse do I have when I pre-​planned and pre– paid? The day I was to be grieving and mourning my mom, and receiving comfort from friends and family, I was frantically attempting to rectify so many errors on their part.
