We tried lots but most things were average in flavor and missing something. I am trying to give some positive feedback. 2 friends had the shrimp pasta and they need to thicken the sauce as it is like soup at the bottom and they had to keep mixing it BUT shrimp were perfectly cooked with good flavor Coleslaw was white vinegar with dried oregano on top, bland. Forgot sauce on wings and no bbq available, calamari good, flatbread had good flavor but was cold. Chipotle mayo needs spice and flavorless and could do with a kick for sure. Fish and chips were good but could definitely do with a salt or something.

Food was great!!! Sever not so great! Very rude and told us that our tips weren’t good enough and she got almost over 20% from all of us. BUT Barry the manger was so awesome and really made us feel better about this experience! Will be coming again with friends!!!

I just returned from Brewfish. They would not let me use my voucher. I would expect to be able to use at 12:00 pm for lunch. They said it was brunch. Nowhere on rules does it specify times for lunch on Sunday. I requested a credit for my Groupon here as I won’t return. Nowhere on Groupon did it specify lunch hours in rules. Waiter said I could use Groupon only after 3:00 pm today and after we finished meal. I complained and manager never came out to discuss. Food and service was good, but highly I satisfied with customer service and trying to make things right.

I have been to this place with friends two times already and both times the food and service were excellent. The conch fritters and Bimini bread are delicious and both times we all had the lobsters which were so sweet. The staff ensures that your dining experience is what you expect and the portions are more than expected!

I have visited BrewFish several times since they opened and have always had a thoroughly wonderful experience. I work in N. Miami Bch and I will meet family or friends there as often as I can because it is worth the trip… The food and service are outstanding. My favorites are the conch fritters, calamari and Bimini bread for starters. Tonight was their lobster special. We were served 2 large lobsters on huge platters, perfectly cooked; sweet and tender. If you want to try BrewFish for the 1st time, go on Wednesday but remember to preorder your lobsters so you can indulge. They were so big none of us could finish them, we all left with a to go box. Our server tonight was Kyle. Very nice and was always nearby to make sure we had everything we needed… Removed and replaced our lobster shell bowl every few minutes and replenished our drinks throughout the evening. Definitely recommend to anyone who would enjoy great food in a casual atmosphere. Beautiful water view where you can sit on the dock if you like, outside under tiki roof or comfortably inside listening to great music.

Cute restaurant on a canal. I ordered the fish tacos and tea. It was lunch time and service was slow but they were very busy.

If they had Blue Moon I’d have given them 5 stars. But ice cold Shock Top on draft is almost as good. This is my 2nd visit here. Eating the grilled mahi with fresh asparagus. The food here is as good as any local place and the prices are low to moderate. Great outside bar on the water ably handled by the FRIENDLY bartender Elisa. Friendly counts in my book. Will always come back. Great place. Give it a shot.

Arrived around 8:30. Got the last table outside. There were 6 tables near the live music but it was SOLOUD that no one wanted to sit there. Started with Bimini Bread. Hot and sweet! Tried the fish tacos: 2 soft tacos, blackened, they were perfectly prepared and presented. Side of Brussel sprouts was huge and flavorful. Prices are reasonable, service was attentive, and food was great. A definite keeper. Only recommendation is to lower the volume of the live music. We came to visit with friends and it would have been impossible to sit inside and have a conversation.

I had a really good time just being here, and the food and service made it better. We sat at the outdoor bar and enjoyed perfect evening weather, and a great view. The bartender, Taylor, was excellent. She asked our names and greeted other patrons by their name. It’s always a good sign when the staff values their customers like that. They have a decent selection of draft and bottles, as well as craft beers including local brewery, Funky Buddha. Nothing beats a beer by the water! The food came out quickly, and our entrees were well timed after the appetizer. As a starter, we ordered the conch fritters, but ordered the sweet chili sauce that normally comes with the calamari instead of the aoli. Definitely do this! The conch fritters were nothing out of this world but they were flavorful. The fish tacos are awesome! A good 3−4oz in each, the pico and guac that come with them are on point. Sweet potato wedges as a side are a must. We also ordered the peel and eat shrimp, it was a great portion and they were well seasoned. We left full and satisfied! A local at the bar let us know about the happy hour and live music they also have. We will be back for that, for sure. Great well priced food, with a view. Definitely recommended.

We were visiting Pompano for vacation and looking for a restaurant for dinner, hopefully not as touristy as the ones by our hotel. I found the Brew Fish through Unilocal and it hit the bill perfectly! We went on a Friday night and there was live music. It was just one singer and his guitar, but it was a little loud for us to hear each other at our table. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place, very casual, not tacky or overpriced at all. The food was all really great. I got the bbq chicken flatbread, my husband had the shrimp pasta which he was really impressed by, my mom had the fish sandwich, and my sister had the fish and chips. Everything was very well done, our waitress was very friendly, and the location along the water is beautiful. We will definitely return here on future trips to Pompano!

Brew Fish is a neighborhood restaurant and bar near our house. It’s been a number of things over the past few years since changing hands from the old Anglesea. We grabbed a couple of chairs at the outside bar. Service started off a little slow but then we met Mikki. A friendly personality, she greeted us and grabbed drink orders. No Skyy Vodka for wifey so she sub’d with Ketel One with a lil pink lemonade. For me just a Coors light and glass of water. We looked over the menu options and I talked wifey into trying the fish tacos based on fellow Unilocaler Savanna’s recent review and experience. I went with the shrimp po-boy and our waitress said it was a great choice and one of her favs. Inside there was a female musician playing guitar and singing. She sounded decent and we enjoyed listening to her set. The outside bar is great, overlooks the waterway and makes for a great setting. The place is also pet friendly and there were a couple dogs lounging around the outside bar with their owners. The food came out in about 20 minutes, not bad. The order of fish tacos consisted of two soft tacos loaded with a fair amount of blackened fish and topped with pico de gallo and a small dish of guacamole. The po-boy was served on a decent sized hoagie roll and filled with fried shrimp and topped with a creole remoulade sauce. Both dishes were solid. The fact they have live music, they’re on the water, decent food and friendly bartenders. We’ve decided this is going to become one of our regular spots since it’s close to home.

I’ve had my eye on Brew Fish since the first time I passed by. This location is really great sitting just beside the canal, you you can kind of get the on the water feel, without the hassle of trying to park near the beach or the intracoastal. I’ve been here twice so far, and I would say it’s a solid 3.5 stars, but I’m waiting to have that really great experience to add the fourth. My first time here was a Friday for happy hour. We arrived a little before five and it was a beautiful day out. The have a tiki bar type setup and an an indoor/outdoor area on the east side of the restaurant closest to the canal. Unfortunately there were no seats remaining at this outdoor bar. This surprised me because usually i’m the early bird at happy hour… but I think the snow birds beat me. We headed to the back of the restaurant where there is another large bar that was practically empty. The bartender introduced himself and gave us menus, noting that for happy hour starters were 25% off. House wines were 50% off and beyond red and white they had a few of each variety to pick from. I went with my usual pinot grigio, and my boyfriend opted for beer, for which domestics were 50% off. He opted out of the happy hour and gravitated to the craft beers, and they did have Funky Buddha on tap. Looking over the starters we went with the calamari and the conch fritters. Both were, though not something to get too excited about. My boyfriend then ordered the wings as well, and the wing sauce smelled really good. We hung out at this back bar for probably a little over an hour and enjoyed another drink or two. This particular night they were playing mostly country music, which I really enjoyed(though I think there was different musical playing in the tiki bar area). A few weeks later we were looking for spot for happy hour and some food before another event and Brew Fish was perfect location wise. I arrived around 4:30 and was able to get seats at the outside tiki bar area. Granted, this was a Wednesday evening, and it was kind of rainy, so the crowds just weren’t out like they are on a nice sunny Friday, but they were busy just the same. The bartender was great about letting us know the specials, and I ordered pretty much the same things i had last time, as the happy hour discount food is a little short on options, and also added the mushroom and artichoke flatbread. The conch fritters were cooked a little better in my opinion this time(the first time they were maybe a little too doughy) and the flatbread was good, and large enough to share for a snack while drinking. I was happy I got to sit out at the tiki bar area, even if it was raining, and had a pretty good experience overall. Now though I’ve been here twice and am still hesitating on the 4th star, I will be back for sure. The location is great for me in terms of proximity to work and home, and I love the atmosphere offering the beach feel without the hassle. I keep reminding myself that it’s tourist and snowbird season, and perhaps this will be a great summer stop once that stuff calms down. I’m happy with the drink specials, but do wish they would expand their happy hour food choices just a little. Then again, there are lots of places that do drinks only for happy hour, so I probably shouldn’t complain.

We were trying to find a place for happy hour to grab a quick bite before another event in the area and settled on Brew Fish. I knew it was on the water(after driving by a few times) and it seemed like a great low-key place with some atmosphere. Of course, when we visited it was pouring rain and perhaps some of the«on the water» appeal was lost, but definitely a great spot for a sunnier day! I’m hovering around 3.5 stars, but I think I’ll round down in this case since HH pricing on food wasn’t the most amazing deal. That being said, the atmosphere is great here for happy hour, and drink pricing was good, so do still come :) There were 5 or 6 of us and we opted to grab bar seats, so I’m not entirely sure if HH pricing applies to the whole restaurant or just the bar seats. Side note HH is from 4pm — 7pm. Happy Hour — 50% off house wines(I believe they were 2 reds and 2 whites — Copperridge brand) 50% draft Bud Light, Coors Light or Yuengling 50% well spirits 25% off starters(not the best deal) and there are only 4 starter options — Bimini Bread, Wings, Conch Fritters and Calamari. Taylor was our bartender and she was a delight. She checked in frequently and handled our group well, especially considering we all wanted separate tabs and all arrived at different moments. She was great! I started with a well rum and coke, which sadly wasn’t Bacardi, so I only had one. And opted to try the Conch Fritters and the Smoked Fish Dip. **As a Bahamian I can be pretty strict on my judgement of conch fritters. Was this sauce authentic? No, but it was tasty. The fritters themselves were well cooked and had a great batter consistency, but were lacking in the conch and green pepper department… would I order these again? Yes, probably lol, but that’s because I enjoy fried carbs and sauce lol. **The Smoked Fish Dip was really great and I was impressed with some extra sides than just the usual crackers or carrots/celery, so having the tomatoes was a plus! Of course, I shared in a few other bites — **The Calamari — skip it **The Mushroom/Artichoke Flat Bread — didn’t quite wow me **The Shrimp Po Boy — pretty good, and great size for the price! **Side of Sweet Potato — ehhh Overall, Brew Fish is worth checking out. Id love to come back on a gloriously sunny Sunday for their bottomless mimosa brunch!

Ive been here several times and several names ago. I have always enjoyed this small spot on the intracoastal on mc nab road(east of dixie hgwy), Tonight I met up with the UYE crowd beforehand to have a light bite before our event. Domestic beer was at a happy hour price and we seemed to have ordered every appetizer excluding the bimini bread and shared. Since all the appetizers were on the table I ordered a shrimp Po Boy. Let me tell you what we ate, there was savanas smoked fish dip that came with the sesame crisps and carrots and diced bermuda onion. It was almost devoured by the time it made its way to me but low and behold there was a single jalapeño slice waiting for me and I added it to the scoop of fish dip with some onions and sesame crisp and down the hatch it went. I liked it. Next were jessica g’s fried calamari and mushroom artichoke flat bread. The calamari is VERY good. Its not just rings theres the tenticles to and it has a great sweet tangy sauce on it that I liked a lot. The flat bread I wasnt a huge fan of and since i didnt order it it didnt bother me that I didnt like it all that much, thats just me, jess loved it and she says shes a connoisseur of flat bread, and i believe her. There were fish tacos that I snapped a picture of but didnt get to try and I was told they could have used more fish. the person isnt a Unilocaler yet ///we are trying to swing him over to become… ONEOFUS! so I dont want to mention his name for his own privacy. Brent ordered the conch fritters and they looked unreal! fried perfectly a deep brown and there was even a few that seemed to have dipping handle on the fritter made from the batter. Michael C had the wings and a glass of pino and I ordered the shrimp po boy which was a GENEROUS amount of fried shrimp which came with tarter sauce that they called a «sassy» roumulade, you know when I saw the word sassy I had to order that, it came with a bunch of choices for sides and I chose the sweet potato wedges that were not crispy but good even though they were limp and the sour cream honey drizzle was ok and I got a ying ling draft. My bill was totally reasonable, 11.00 and we were off to our event. Will I retirn, if I am in the area and someone wants to go sure I will. The restaurants new owners are keeping the place VERY clean and bright and airy not dim and dank like it was the last time I was in there which had to be a few years ago. Its casual, great prices and clean and the foods decent. Check it out if you’re in the area.

This place has the potential to get a higher star rating. They did a really nice job with the remodel but it’s entirely too big. Would not be surprised if they closed down ½ of it at some point. This location has been a lot of places over the years so hopefully this one will have sticking power. We were greeted when we walked in. Server was really nice and well-versed on the menu. She was able to share her favorite dishes. We were pleasantly surprised by the food. Better than I expected but also a lot slower than I expected. A sign of a good wait staff? They proactively apologize and the manager offers a discount without you saying a thing. Very class act. Since we’re local we will definitely be back to check out how this little place evolves. I’m curious to try the brunch next.

The Brew Fish Bar & Grill location has been run under so many different names and ownerships, all deservedly being failures within the past 8 years I can’t even begin to name them all though I have been to every one of them. So, with the present Brew Fish Bar & Grill I am more than thrilled to say that I see in it the light of improvement and finally have something good to say about the place. I’ve always loved the location of the place right next to the bridge on McNab, right on the water. Its spaciousness, has plenty of parking and situation the present ownership seems to be taking better advantage of than was previously done. I stopped by here for a Sunday brunch and unlike times in the past was immediately greeted at the door and guided to a very nice outdoor patio like table under their Chickee Hut, which of course they refer to as being Tiki, but me as Floridian will stick with«Chickee.» Either way, in today’s sense Chickee and Tiki, pretty much mean the same. But most important, being with a pleasant, relaxing waterfront view along with an easy bar access as the bar extends from the interior out into the patio area. To my delight, and unlike experiences here under previous proprietors, my server turned out not only to be polite, but professional as well with a full knowledge of their menu offerings. With my server’s suggestion, I order their fish tacos. Their menu indicated the fish tacos to be of a blackened fish, the type of fish unidentified by name, served with a secret house pico de gallo and side of fresh guacamole. When served it came two full soft shells in decent presentation with along with a tiny plastic cup of guacamole. I found myself being rather unimpressed with the tacos. Though tasty enough, rather ordinary in flavor with the shells rubbery in texture. OK, but nothing thrilling. Though I wasn’t thrilled with the tacos and found the little plastic cup tad of guacamole more of joke than a serious side, I do like this place, its professional staff and casual atmosphere. I also know from their menu and word of mouth that they have other offerings, such as a hand rubbed ribeye with special in house seasoning, that I might find more appealing. So, I’m not going to hesitate in returning.

This is great place for friends to go and just CHILL. They have a great outside and inside bar, I recommend you put 5 tables together order some apps, drinks, and chill. We started with the Conch Fritters and Bimini Bread, get a bunch of those they are really good, for beer we got the Islamorada Ale and then we switched to Rum Drinks! We kept ordering a few more flat breads and had more drinks, the staff was awesome and they even joined in the conversation. We will definately be back for more fun!

Pure crap. What a den of overpriced decrepit misery on a platter. The fish tacos are tiny for the price. The fish and chips is 98% batter. The service is garbage– to the point that our waitress who hid in the kitchen for most of the time, didn’t fill our drinks, and took an hour to bring the food(despite the place not being crowded). Look, the doctor wanted to like this place, even after my review of the previous shitbox that was at the same location(that I can only hope went out of business.) You can literally tell this place is trying to make money off you with their frozen Seafood that they ration out like we’re castaways on a desert island. Go waste your money with the volleyball Wilson or listen to the doctor.
