I hate this place. My husband and I went one late afternoon and ordered a pizza while waiting we had 3 drinks each. They took so long I told them I would pay for it ofcourse but no tip since we waited so long and we sat at bar. Looked at my bank charge and they put 20% tip themselves. Do not go there!

I like this place for the music. It has a great atmosphere plus a couple of pool tables. Parking is more than adequate and the service is really great. Bartenders are super friendly and I think the most impressive is that they remember your name. Here is the reason for only three stars, fix the kitchen! Who ever cooks needs to up their culinary skills. I’ve had wings twice and both times they were very over cooked. A total lack of flavor and super dry. While I will go back I will most likely come in with a full stomach

Went on a Sunday afternoon to catch the outdoor hockey game featuring my favorite team. Because my team decided not to show up that day, I’m really glad we showed up at Brendan’s because it certainly eased the pain. Sat at the bar and had the fish dip. Extremely tasty. Asked the very friendly bartender(who may have been serving the whole place and still was on the top of her game) to help us pick between the onion rings or the peel and eat shrimp. She suggested not choosing but enjoying both. Good call! Of course, all of that was more than enough and the drinks had done their trick too. Great joint! Great appetizers! Great bartender! Great time!

Super little local sports pub. Always have had friendly service. Lots of tv’s, pool tables and darts. The $ 5.99 lunch specials are hard to beat!

Local gem! Not flashy — blending off federal hwy into a boat storage and marina, you can easily overlook this lil gem. The bar tenders ROCK and pour a real drink and the food was really good, yes it’s a bar but really tasty selection. I got a burger that rivals another in town and my date got the chicken sandwich(we both had a long day so it’s was a drinking kinda date). Anyways the price was good, 9.50 per meal and the cocktails were 7 – 8 each but poured the right way!

Was in town visiting for a few days and my friend and I were looking for a sports bar and stumbled upon this Brendan’s. Atmosphere was great, patrons were friendly, staff was fantastic, and the food(we had wings) was delicious. Great prices on beers as well. Christina was helping us and she was absolutely fantastic. Even gave us a recommendation on some places to see while visiting Florida. Will definitely be stopping by Brendan’s again next time I make it back to Pompano Beach.

Hands down my favorite new bar for locals. They have trivia on Tuesdays and a bloody marry bar in the weekends. The homegrown feel here is genuine, where all the regulars are first name basis. The food is both good and inexpensive for bar food. A must for a casual night out in the area!

Great service! Great beer! Awesome place to hang out and relax, friendly local crowd. The pizza we ordered was beyond what we expected, baked in their pizza oven! If you’re in the area and need a good local place stop by! And they have dart boards!!!

This is my new favorite«local bar» I get to watch my sports there. The owner and staff are pleasant. I have no complaints. I’m a beer guy so the beer prices are good. Their pizza is my favorite dish there! It is VERY good. Their pulled pork is very good as well. When they have their soup specials, the ones I’ve tried are as well very good. It’s also a good place for groups, they have plenty of dart boards, 2 pool tables, and on certain days they have free poker! I would definitely recommend this place.

My favorite! Food is awesome, staff are friendly & fun, LOVE the dart boards & pool tables & the different live bands! Such a breath fresh air from what it used to be, thank God. The area needed a good new sports bar!

Great place. New owner did a great job with the new tvs and dart boards. New jukebox is top of the line too. Cover rock bands on Friday nights are key too. Bartenders are good and experienced.

New bar in town. Great neighborhood bar feel to the place. The owner and staff let you know that your patronage is appreciated. I was there for a Sunday barbecue. I think it starts at 2 every Sunday. The food was great. I watched the elite 8(NCAA basketball tournament) there that day as well. Plenty of tvs and plenty of seating. I will be back, probably for more barbecue this Sunday.

Branden’s Sports Pub is located in what was formerly Yak-Zies Bar and Grill. The new owners have cleaned up the grungy floor, added some flat screens, generally spruced the place up but it if I didn’t know different, from the looks of it, I’d still think I was in Yak-Zies. Essentially it looks and remains very much the same. I stopped by on date of this review, and it was more than evident that they have plenty of growing pains and business kinks to work out. First off, no draft beer yet. Second, it would even be a compliment to call the bar service amateurish or unprofessional. For example, no real greeting, I ordered a bottle of beer and all the bartendress did was open the bottle and plop it down. No offer of a glass until I requested one which turned out to be one made of plastic but chill frosted and, oddly enough for Brendan’s so-called«Grand Opening,» no complimentary munchies and no specials of anything. The menu offering is rather small, very much abbreviated, pretty much nothing but common bar food like wings, burgers, dogs, onion rings, fries, kettle chips, some salads, a chili or French onion soup, pizza, and an assortment of sandwiches, however, I must say that the Philly Cheese Steak I had with sautéed onions, peppers and cheese sauce was really very good. The crowd that hangs at Brendan’s is pretty much the same, aged mid-thirties to early sixties blue collar types along with a few senior citizen retirees that hung here when the place was Yak-Zies but all very pleasant and friendly. The main things that sort of sets Brendan’s apart from other sports bars are that it has a really good number of real dart boards, caters to the dart players and dart playing leagues, has two rather decent pool tables and a good size parking lot composed of adequately sized parking spaces. However, the overall appearance of the place is somewhat tired and worn looking both from the outside and on the inside. As for rating it, it’s OK, but not exactly«A-OK» in that it lacks what might be termed as having a good«fun factor» to it and, as far as sports pubs go, Fort Lauderdale has a multitudinous if not near myriad number of them, most of which are really more sports oriented, have a better atmosphere and would, in my opinion, constitute better choices.

Call me crazy, but what is appealing about a very long bar that faces the wall? They should have at least left the bar there so customers can see one another What were they thinking? I observed a much younger crowd here which is probably what they were aiming for I wish them luck. Nice size crowd for a Saturday night after 10 in this place Plenty of dart dartboards. Good crowd makes me give it 3 instead of 2. Hope that keeps up for them
