Au-Bon-Gout Restaurant

The awkward moment when the person at the counter has an attitude for no reason. Like you trying to run a business or not? I placed my order at 11:45 and its after one and still not ready. Way too many hatian restaurants in pompano/​fort Lauderdale to deal with a rude cashier. Wanted salad with my $ 10 meal and they told me no because it was for griot only well thats poor customer service period. I wasted my time going to this place. Very rude people

Straight to the meal. Visited on 12−8−12. I ordered the Griot complete. I’ve had griot before. Even made my own. This was so fricking good. From the Haitian rice dish to the griot itself. I don’t eat much rice, but this dish was amazing. All the different ingredients just work in this dish. I swear I couldn’t stop eating the rice. The pork was so flavorful, crispy yet tender on the inside. The service was okay not great, just okay. I plan on calling and asking for the recipe for the rice and pork.

Went to this place one more time.
I called at 12:18PM. They tell me food will be ready at 1PM sharp. I asked to confirm they said «1PM SHARP»
Arrived at 1:22 as I was running late & food was still not ready.
I did make a $ 64, 8 plates but it doesn’t explain 1 hour to get read from time I called but also 22 minutes delayed from time I was told to arrive.
When I complained about the time, there answer was «If you came on time, it would have been ready» Not sure if it was jockingly or seriously but I in tuen replied.
I will give you a bad review online.
They then offer free drinks after I talked about the bad review.
Now, I give it 3 starts because the food is in fact good, great! Some say Amazing!
But again, the wait times are unacceptable.
