I went in this past Sunday to pick up some tackle and hopefully get some insight to the local bottom fishing. I just moved here from Destin 6 weeks ago, went on one drift fishing trip and was surprised at how the regulars fished. I talked to TJ and the other guy(forgot his name sorry dude) and they were extremely helpful. No bullshit sale tactics, no «you’re a wannabe» just straight info. I bought what I originally came in for and gained some excellent knowledge. Good people and now they’re my go to tackle shop.

The frozen shrimp was rotten and mushy. I found everything over priced and the packaging was dusty. It seems like not a lot of people buy the items in this store. This place was the closest to the inlet, but I’d rather drive a bit farther to get better quality bait. Did not catch a thing with this bait.

Have gone into this shop over the last four years at least 2 – 4 times a month. When buying live shrimp for bait you have to say you want mediums otherwise all they will give you are small tiny baby shrimp. Im sick and tired of getting small shrimps for the price im paying. Wont ever go back!

Great local bait shop. They have everything you need without the snooty attitude of basspro. Join the rewards program too it adds up

Knowledgable, friendly staff. Lots a tackle and bait for your salt water fishing. Got a question about catching a fish? They will help point you in the right direction.

Atlantic Bait & Tackle is what I might term the real down to earth hardcore fishing supply store. In saying that I mean that it differs from those stores that cater to the weekend warrior type of sport fisherman with the big sport fishing boat, crew, custom rods & etc. Here you will find the basic supplies and every type of them including live bait all sold at easy on the wallet workingman’s prices. I find items sold here for less than are retailed in some of the big box discount stores and better than that, you not only get friendly service, helpful advice and good information but, if you spend $ 20 or more, a free bag of ice. None of the big box or top of the line plush looking more glamorous sporting goods stores can even come close to that for value or give you a better bang for your hard earned dollar. It’s located smallish rather cruddy looking ethnically populated strip mall with every establishment seemingly having a 900 East Atlantic address but easy to find with adequate parking. As a bonus, at either end of this little strip mall are two rather good restaurants, Malulo’s(a Peruvian restaurant) on the east end and Portugalia(as the name implies, Portuguese) restaurant on the west end. Also in the center is a Brazilian«Style» restaurant, which I can’t recommend since there are far better choices for Brazilian food to be found in the area.
