Don’t trust this company, sales person(Allan Bleecher) will promise a delivery date, from 10 to 24 days but when receive the contract insure to read very carefully as they change. Even after 24 days post pick up, I just received an email from the office(Marcus Alcegaire) saying ‘currently no delivery info is available’. I’m would never recommend this company to anyone. Stay away and save money and stress. Update 02÷14÷162 days after the«CONTRACT» delivery due date: I was told 3 days ago that the worst case was for delivery would be Sunday Feb 14, 10AMPST. Guess what? No delivery so far. So the worst case got even worst. Get’s better… I received a message from the owner of the company(Antony) trying to confirm the delivery and asking for me to call back so he could apologize. Guess again… I call his phone, never answer and the voice mail is FULL. I guess full of happy costumers. If you are looking for a moving company and will make you sleep on the floor for almost 10 days, wile waiting for someone to keep lying to you, you must select American Van lines, as they will do exactly that!

I don’t even know where to start. This was the worst move ever. The day before our scheduled move, the movers tried to move up the pick-up date and«come by this afternoon.» When they did arrive, they had the completely wrong estimate/quote, based on which the company threatened to charge us $ 1600 extra(we ended up paying $ 500 extra to just get it over with) despite the fact that we signed an updated quote and left multiple messages trying to further update it. The movers put a hole in our wall during the move. They misjudged the items we had and had to leave with the shuttle, unload the shuttle into the trailer, and come back with the shuttle, adding hours to the pickup. The mover’s cell phone was disconnected and it was virtually impossible to get ahold of anyone regarding our move – we were shuffled around to many different associates, Angie, Kimberly, Jennifer, another person whose name I’m forgetting, etc. We repeatedly left unreturned voicemails/calls. The day before our move-in date, the date was pushed back a day, and my husband had to take another day off of work. Today is our move-in day. The movers are already late. They just now called us to tell us their trailer had a leak and 8 – 10 boxes of ours were damaged. I suspect there will be even more issues. They company has lied to us many times and is extraordinarly disorganized. They made the moving process pretty much as stressful as it could possibly be. I wish we had rented a UHaul and driven our belongings ourselves. I will NEVER use this company again and strongly suggest that no one else does, either.

Even before reading all these terrible reviews, I knew not to use this company. If you submit a request for a quote, be prepared to receive 5 – 6 calls a day from them, often with follow up emails.

Worst experience of my life! If you are moving PLEASE choose someone else! They will blatently over charge you and when they lose something they will not call you back. I did not even turn in the broken item because it will not get dealt with. And when they give you the range and tell you its in case of emergency, do NOT believe them. They will take every day of that range! I urge you to NEVEREVER use this company

From the moment I signed the contract, this was nothing short of a hell show. This was the worst experience of my life. I signed the contract for my stuff to be picked up July 25-NO EARLIER and to be delivered no later than 8⁄6. Within in 10 hours of signing contract, I start receiving calls saying they need to move up my move out date to 7⁄18. I am 1300 miles away and trying to organize this. I specifically told them I could not do earlier because NOONE was there. Now they were telling me that they couldn’t pick it up 7.25, even though that was the contracted. I had to pull someone away from work to be at spot to let them in the house. I was PROMISED that because of this that my stuff would be to Chicago by 7.28. I was repeatedly promised this. When the movers got there, they were supposed to move it, not us. The person I had let them in, ended up moving most of it. Every day I was checking in with them… or trying to at least seeing how NOONE in the compant will return calls. I rive cross country and on the 27th, the date promised, call them and no one will return call. I finally get a hold of the driver and he is in Oregon. When I sign contract, I was told they had to pick up my stuff earlier so they could get to Utah, Washington, then to Vermont. When I talked to driver he had been to San Francisco, Oregon, but not WAS. So on the day promised, he was in OR… not Chicago. I got the run around from EVERYONE! The only person to every return calls was driver. I called Al(dispatcher) 10 times in one week trying to find my stuff. He never once responded or called me back. I called Matt(guy who wrote up contracted) 8 times and no call back. I talked to a guy name Sam and left 6 messages with him and no call back. It kept being«escalated» with no resolution, no returned phone calls, and ALLEMPTY promises. I took off work the following week when it was«supposed» to be delivered. No one every called to tell me it would make it AGAIN. I had to call and find out. I took off another day a week later, and the same thing happened. This company, or lack thereof, is the SHITTIEST and sorest excuse of a moving company with whom I have ever dealt. I then had a friend calling every day, along with me, thinking strength in numbers. They did the same thing to him. Every time, another empty promise, pass the buck, never call back, not take calls, pass us along to another voicemail, lie straight though the phone. I literally took off work 4 different times so that I could be there to let them in, and not a single time to did I ever receive even a call to say they would yet again NOT be there. I had to call and find out 30 –45 mins later. My belongings were promised by the July 27 and I received them Aug 26… a MONTH later! I literally was living off an air mattress and 3 shirts for a month and a half. Honestly, this is just the tip of the iceberg of what took place! For time sake, I will not continue. Whatever you do, do NOT, I repeat, do NOT use American Van Lines! They are a bunch of lying bastards that will steal you money and you may never see your items ever again!

This company will rip you off, damage your goods, lie to you and never respond to your calls. They had a company called United States Movers come and pick up our few pieces of heirloom furniture. They didn’t have the appropriate lift gate for a piano, didn’t have the right dollies, etc. Then, the pickup drivers filled out the inventory sheet and signed it themselves saying that everything was damaged. They delivered when I was out of town(past their 3 – 14 day estimate) and they damaged my mint condition piano. They also lost some pieces of wood for a china hutch. They are denying all damages and have lied to my insurance company. The«manager» said she couldn’t override what the«claims dept» decided and I had to talk to the president. DONOTUSEAMERICANVANLINES. And, be careful because they go by about 30 other names. Check the BBB etc.

This was the single worste company I have ever dealt with. They overcharged me, and broke my furniture. They use several differnt phone numbers 954−651−. I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau. Please Please do not use them. The previous post must work for the company because the movers I had took a time-out in my garage to sit and talk on the clock before they held my furniture hostage becasue they went over the alloted time limit. They then requested an additionall $ 200 before taking my couch off the truck. We moved 50% of the items ourselves.
