Nice stuff in there, make sure to make an appointment, because they will turn you away if they don’t feel like doing business… will buy my synth elsewhere. Trying to support indie shops like this is only a challenge if they make it one.

This store was very good to me in the past, but they sold me an electric guitar, which needed repairs and I did not bother them with it because I knew they would not honer it due to the fact it was on discounted price sale. it’s a shame to be ripped off by people who you thought were trying to help you out. Just make sure you test out your gear before you buy it.

Though this store was better when they were analogue haven, they still kick a decent amount of ass. I know the prices are a bit higher for pedals/gear compared to online, but at least you get to actually try before you buy. I have probably purchased over 2000 bucks worth of gear from this place. The staff is always polite, even gives me reccomendations to other stores if they don’t have what I am looking for. I think that if they had a department that did pedal mods/circuit mods this place would be the best place in the IE for botique music electronics. I often come here on my lunch break to look at the gear porn. Some of the modular synths they have are just insane pieces of art.

After mulling over getting a new guitar effect pedal for awhile, I finally settled on getting something from a company in Akron, OH called Earthquaker Devices. They are well known to pedal lovers, but still somewhat of a smaller boutique operation. I was all set to to order one direct from them, when I decided to check out if there were any local authorized dealers, as this is not the sort of thing you can find at the big box music stores. That was when I first heard of Noisebug, and I followed the link through to their site. It piqued my interest enough that the very next day I took a prolonged lunch break, and drove from Yorba Linda to downtown Pomona to check out this store. Noisebug didn’t disappoint. They had a wall of effects pedals from a lot of really great manufacturers; some rare, some not so rare. But if you are into that sort of thing, this place will have you salivating. The price points were excellent. I’ve shopped online for pedals enough that I can tell without looking if a price is the lowest you’ll find for a particular brand/pedal. And Noisebug hit that mark on just about everything I looked at. In fact, the Earthquaker Sea Machine chorus pedal I got was the exact same price I would have paid if I had one made to order directly from the company itself. I believe it was Antonio(the owner) I talked to while there, and he was super helpful and nice, asked about the gear/music I play, gave me a neat little guitar tech tip regarding my semi-hollow body guitar via an anecdote about an old blues man he knew, and also gave some great info on a One Spot power source and guitar strings that might better suit the down tuning I implement. The effect pedal facet of this store seems to be minor when compared to the keyboard/synth/recording equipment sections, and I can’t really comment on that seeing as how it’s not really my area of musical expertise. But if the knowledge/service/price/selection of their guitar effects pedals is any indicator, I’d say it’s a place you have to check out. Noisebug was aces all around.

I love this place. Antonio is great to deal with. They have some of the coolest gear around an the place looks like an art gallery or something. I live in the valley and it is always worth the trip out to Pomona.

Do not hesitate to purchase from this store online. Not only was the price good, the owner, Antonio helped me personally to fulfill the order even though I needed to split the payments(which I promised him I would not do again) and he was totally patient when I screwed up on the credit card and had to correct later with another paypal payment! Don’t put him through what I did — he is a good man and doesn’t deserve it. The point is I can’t wait to visit his store(I live in Tacoma, WA) and do business in person. His shipping policy is great and my keyboard arrived within 4 days.

THEBESTKEYBOARDSHOPINTHEWEST! I have shopped at West LA Music and Guitar Center for 25 years. I will use them for little things like cables, but for major purchases I will go to Noisebug to demo and buy my instruments. No place is as cool as this. I drove an hour to get there from west LA and was quite impressed. Incredible stock of vintage and modern keyboards. Owner Antonio was super courteous to my needs and did not shovel any BS. He respected my opinion and offered his, which I found valuable. He also allowed me to demo incredible synths that were not available at any other store in LA.(Like a DSI Tetra!) I will always use this as my first shop from now on. If you are into synths, check this place out, it will blow you away. Thanks Noisebug!

This place has left such a lasting impression on my Five Foot Lover that we try to find a way to stop here TO/FROM our bimonthly trips to Disneyland. Honestly, I hear enough about tube trackers, the new MF108, buddha boxes, etc, etc. that I wasn’t entirely ecstatic spending vacation time browsing here… but it’s charming, the guy that helped us was great and pleasant(guitar center this ain’t), and the selection is interesting enough to keep the lady friend’s amused for at least 45 minutes. If I was smart enough to remember this place for birthdays/father’s day/christmas, this would be the first shop on my list.

This place rocks. so much so that I created a Unilocal account just so I can share how great my purchasing experience was. In addition to their great prices(I got a way better deal at Noisebug then I was able to find anywhere else), the customer service is outstanding. The employees don’t work on commission which enables them to be more honest with you even if it means that you make some purchases elsewhere. Incredibly helpful and patient with stupid questions and requests as well. Blows Sam Ash & Guitar Center out of the water… Hands down.

Sometimes I often wonder how places like this stay in business. Not that I at all wish the misfortune of this place, but we live in the day and age of the internet. How a niche music store, selling even more niche items, plopped down right in the heart of the concrete jungle of Pomona, stays in business is beyond me. Everytime I’m in there I am the only one there. That being said, 6 – 7 years ago, at the height of my music nerdom, I would have probably blown a wad before stepping foot in here. Indeed, analog synthesizers galore. Oscillator this, square wave filter that, moog this AND that. If you think you reached the point of no return in über hipster elitism with your microkorg, this place will knock you down, because these guys obviously still know more than you do about making random blips and bleeps and having crazy german IDM kids dance about(probably). While not too much actual vintage stuff caught my eye, they do have all the analog reissues that have reached the market in past months and years. Moogs, nords, I saw a midi Jupiter 8 in there!?! as well as the Waldorf biofield… yeah, that kind of stuff. They have random guitar stuff in here too, a lot of interesting pedals(I got my fuzz pedal here), and a bunch of other nick nacks. Customer service is excellent, when I inquired about a synth/controller to get me out of the recording stone age(no more cassette 4 tracks for me), the owner(?) actually suggested to just buy a DX7 off ebay or craigslist and buy the USB/midi converter as a cheaper option. Probably the best music store I’ve ventured into in the inland empire, even though 99% of the time I leave here empty handed. One day that Nord will belong to me. Until that day, kudos to you noisebug.
