Maybe I am jumping ahead here because my grandmother literally just got out of surgery, but I have never felt more at ease solely due to the friendliness and comforting nature and confidence of this hospital’s staff and doctors/​nurses. Every single person that saw my grandmother during surgery prep for her hip replacement was beyond kind and friendly. They made us as family feel involved and important and ensured they not only comforted my grandmother but us as well. It is my nature to worry, but after these early encounters in the process my mind was much more at ease. Dr. Orozco of the Rothman Institute performed my grandmother’s surgery, and his confidence and compassion are what any patient or family member of a patient wants when it comes to their well being. One of the nurses in the surgery wing even brought me back to recovery to see my grandmother just minutes after she was out of the operating room so I could tell her I would be back soon while I ran home to take care of some things. I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire experience so far and highly doubt the need to update with a changed opinion when all is said and done. I’ve dealt with family members in other area hospitals for similar medical procedures and unfortunately have not seen care like this. I can’t say enough great things!
