My brother had his wedding reception here. Pros: Lovely scenic setting. Beautiful inside — decorated and furnished well, nice bathrooms, etc. Chicken cordon bleu was crisp on the outside and tender inside. The waitstaff seemed nice and professional. Cons: Bacon-wrapped pork chops were dry, this coming from comments from multiple guests. The sides of vegetables and potatoes were portioned inconsistently — I got a few vegetables on my plate, and the girl next to me got a heaping amount. They were also thrown on the plate very sloppily(hello, presentation!) and had ZERO seasoning(hello, SALT!). Air-conditioning in one area of dining room was broken; thermostat reading at 81+ degrees, which makes for sweaty, uncomfortable guests in Iowa summers. I sat in a chair on the patio and it bent back and broke, smashing the back of my head into a concrete wall(can you say lawsuit?). Mom’s dining chair was wobbly. Her dining table was pushed so close to the wall that it rendered two seats unusable. For a place that specializes in these types of events, I would have thought things would be more refined, in better condition and overall run more smoothly. Wouldn’t want to have MY wedding reception here. :(

We had a two day off-site meeting at the clubhouse. We had a total of 25 people in their conference room. It was very tight for all of us plus a back table for snacks and beverages as well as a projector screen. It did have wonderful views and the lunches were very delicious. The cookies were fantastic! The employees were very kind and responsive to our requests. Overall, very nice facility! The room we used would be great for a group under 20.
