Their almond-stuffed croissants are my everything. One of their morning buns have enough sugar to keep an entire kindergarten class bouncing. Come on the weekend, though, so I don’t have to wait in line.

Amazing pastries await you here!!! We first tried the Armando bun on a whim. The bun was perfectly baked. Crunchy on the outside and the perfect amount of chewiness on the inside. And it was huge!!! We went back the next afternoon to buy a few to bring back to SF to freeze but unfortunately they were already sold out :(:(I think i almost shed a tear. Apparently these are very popular and you have to get in early especially on weekend mornings. We decided to go with a scone and it was amazing as well. Also got a nice loaf of brickmaiden wheat levain bread here which paired beautifully with some cowgirl cheese from down the street. If I could, I would happily live here and gain 15 lbs!

Just stopped in for a quick snack — the molasses cookie($ 2) was very tasty — just the right texture and nice sugar topping. Small place — I would be happy to have this in my town. The pizza of the day looked great.

we would be regulars if we lived nearby. there was nothing we got that was just okay from a slice of the apple spice cake, their morning bun, or the buttermilk blueberry scone… ok maybe their croissants. its hard to have something bad when its handmade traditional pastries that was shake our heads fantastic and made unbelievably well.

There were a few summers in a row where I went boat camping with friends out on Tomales. We would always pick up a bunch of fruit slippers from Bovine and have them for breakfast in the mornings. Heavenly. The chocolate croissants are good too, but the fruit slippers are our favorite. Best camping breakfast with zero effort. :)

What a wonderful little bakery! We stopped in here after having lunch nearby, and what not a better way to end a fabulous little meal, but by having a fabulous little dessert treat :) The café is small but quaint, and just incredibly endearing. They even have an area mounted on the wall specifically designated for the locals to hold their coffee mugs! So cute! They seemed to have a decent and very inexpensive selection of baked goods to choose from. I ended up getting a Peanut Butter Blondie Brownie with chocolate chips and a regular sized cinnamon bun to bring back for my honey. Service was so friendly and charming! You are certainly made to feel welcome here(at least with me). Now as far as the brownie tasted? Absolutely, incredibly delicious! Soft and densely compacted with rich, sinfully tasteful flavor! I told my self I would only eat a few bites, and ended up devouring that little piece of heaven within moments. Sooo good. My honey also enjoyed his bun :) I will certainly be making my way over to this little slice of heaven again :)

This place has changed and not for the better. Hot chocolate consists of a Starbucks packet which is handed to you for you to do yourself! Then, no speciality coffee drinks or espresso, plain drip. Everything is «self serve» and I’m over it. They were also out of creamer, and didn’t have a nice assortment of freshly baked goods like they used to. Such a disappointment.

This place is probably the cheapest breakfast/lunch in town or the area outside of the grocery store across the street. I come here every time I’m in town. They were well stocked for the weekend rush of visitors from the city. I love this town, and Bovine is one of the reasons I do. I’ve tried something different every time I come and everything is top notch. You really can’t go wrong.

The pastries aren’t anything to write home about aside from the sheer size of them. It’s a great place to stop for a cyclist or on your road trip to/from the coast. Definitely try the pizza of the day as it is always a hit. Coffee only, no espresso drinks. Great outdoor seating especially when the weather is nice. Short lines are worth it.

Such a cute bakery out in point Reyes station! I was almost overwhelmed with the amount of selection here was and how many delicious looking pastries there were. They have great looking pizza flavors but they only start serving them at 11 so I missed out. I did get to try a yummy savory scone with green onion, tomato, cheddar, and potato which was delicious but almost too big to finish. They don’t do espresso drinks but their coffee is great. The town is super cute and the bakery seems like a place where there are tons of local regulars which was cute.

Love this bakery because cheap prices and HUGE portions! The SO and I were on a road trip when we stopped by this place for an afternoon snack. I think I paid less than $ 3 for a gigantic blueberry scone the size of a slice of pizza. It was terrifyingly fantastic and absolutely delicious. Friendly service and huge pastry portions. This is the dream.

If I could, I would eat everything here. Everything. And in my glory days, I think I did. But I’m getting older now, and I can’t eat everything that I used to eat, no matter how delicious or delectable it is. And let me be clear – everything here is amazing! I especially love the giant cookies(chocolate chip!!) and the brownies. Gah. So good! My mouth is watering just thinking about the chocolatey goodness. Buy some stuff to go(the place is super tiny and you can’t really stay inside to eat or drink anything), and take it outside to the curb to people watch on Shoreline Highway. The lines can get long, but I don’t care. I will wait anytime. Finally, there are no fancy coffee drinks here. Just good, old-fashioned drip coffee. If you’re a local, you can get your very own cubby to store your coffee mug.

I had my 1st breakfast pizza here at Bovine bakery. It’s a small, cute bakery with a friendly staff. My breakfast pizza was amazing! They warmed it up for me. I’m a cheese lover but I’m not really fond of goat cheese. That’s what this pizza had on top along with bacon, yellow potatoes and eggs. Anything with eggs inside is delicious!!! I wanted to try the morning bun since people were talking about it on Unilocal. It was good and I’m sure it would’ve been better if I wasn’t full from eating my breakfast pizza. If you’re ever in the Point Reyes area, be sure to stop by.

So I have been here once and forgot all that I ordered. I’ve tried the morning bun and croissants(almond and turkey). The star was definitely the morning bun. 5/5* Perfectly sticky texture on the outside lends to a soft fluffy interior. Oh I enjoyed slowly chewing it.delightful. croissants were decent. nothing too exciting but done fairly well. 3/5* They had so many options… almost overwhelming in a good way. things sell out so go earlier. I orig wanted ham croissant. That morning bun though!!!

On rides out in west Marin this was a nice place to stop. Good coffee and good pastries. As they don’t make any espresso drinks lines weren’t held up by someone ordering a «double half caf no soy triple ventiomatic carmel yak butter latte». They’d opened another location and during that time I felt the quality had slipped at the Pt. Reyes location. I was hoping that given time the quality would return. At least in the case of the bearclaw — it hasn’t. The dough didn’t seem to be fresh and the consistentcy was closer to a lot of breads than something made with pastry dough. There wasn’t as much filling as in the past and what was there seemed to be rather subdued flavorwise.

I stopped by here every now and then over the years and there is always a line. The store-front is very small, not air-conditioned. Store looks beaten-down from the outside. You can find seating in a small park nearby. Their baked goods are above average, but NOT to-die-for. And no worries, you have not missed a thing if you never come here. I like their Chocolate Cherry Almond Cookie. Just a good cookie with the right ingredients. I used to like it a lot, but not as much since this combo is commonplace now. Their Morning Bun is very similar to a cinnamon roll. The main difference is they use a pastry dough, so the roll is flaky. The caramel is very nicely caramelized and the spices are more pronounced than a Cinnabon. Better than Cinnabon, but I’m not crazy over it. Their bread, pastry and tart are good too. Nothing I am crazy for, but mostly above average. I am not into their chai. It is very mildly flavored for a chai.

Adorable bakery with cute décor and great service. Their food is unique, with great sized proportions for a good price. Definitely a must see if you’re ever in the Point Reyes Area.

Definitely a highlight and must stop in the little water side town of Point Reyes Station! The strong aroma of sweet baking breads is enough to lure you in for some snacking treats, hehe. They have freshly baked cinnamon buns and almost croissants which are some of the more popular items ordered here. The line wasn’t terrible and the service was very friendly even towards the end of the day. They also had teas and even vegetarian pizza slices that I saw others ordering that looked nice. Note that the bakery doesn’t have much ventilation and can get warm inside without any division between the ovens and front of the house. I ordered the almond croissant as a little snack before dinner over at Café Reyes back down the street. The prices aren’t necessarily cheap, so I’d say everything is moderately priced. I ate half of it while walking down the street, one of my other friends complained that the cinnamon bun was too sweet and I laughed and said that’s why I didn’t order it! The other friend decided to save some baked goods just to eat later. It’s a great place but not like the best bakery ever, definitely surprising for the place so remote though. I’ll admit I’m not a huge baked goods fan, but I’m always open to trying if it’s supposedly one of the best.

Definitely worth a stop: delicious bakery items. If in doubt, go for the morning buns: cinnamon heaven! Even in the afternoon, I was impressed they had not sold out of everything, still having morning buns especially(and they tasted fresh). We have not been there in the morning but the afternoon lines were only a few people. Everything we’ve tried has been wonderful. Small store, just room inside for waiting customers. But always worth a stop.
