We went Friday at 9:30 for breakfast. The place was not too busy. We sat outside, 2 adults and 1 child. We ordered 2 cups of coffee and the cups were dirty. Our waiter(Mark ?) was not to be found so we asked another waitress where he was and pointed out our dirty cups, we still needed to order and she gives us an attitude and then lousy tells him«Good Luck». We placed our order and when the food arrived, we asked for more coffee, an extra plate and equal. 10 minutes later he is serving new people coffee and cleaning up a table and when we inquired about our coffee we were told it’s brewing. We have no idea but an update would have been nice since we couldn’t see the coffee area from our seat. My friend asked the table next to us for equal since he disappeared and she wanted to drink her coffee before it got cold. I can’t even comment on the food since the service was horrible. I definitely won’t be going back.

Great service. Nice casual atmosphere off the beach. Egg dishes were very good. Eggs were a stronger dish than the pancakes.

I had such a nice salad here. We sat outside on a picture perfect day and it was so peaceful. It’s a great place to enjoy a relaxing meal. My salad was supposed to have crispy shrimp but I ordered them grilled instead and they came out perfectly. I will definitely be back. The servers who work here have undoubtedly been here for a while and truly understand hospitality. A great local spot.

Food is delicious! Wish I had any other waitress then the one we had. As I observed the other waitresses they were actually nice and attentive to their customers. Ours asked if we wanted coffe as she was still walking by. Asked how our meal was as she was walking by, never stopped to actually get an answer. I wanted more coffee. Never refilled our coffee, had to ask the busboy for more when he cleared our plates and as he was going to pour a second cup the waitress tried to pull him away to pour a different table coffee. Not sure if it was because it was a 5 top and we were just two women. IF we ever go back, I will request any other server but her. Thankfully the food was good as she put a bad taste in my mouth to want to go back there.

What a fantastic little place! The food was awesome! They had a wide variety of Great breakfast items! This is always a plus for my family as we have two diabetics in it, that need whole wheat options and sugar free syrup. For the rest of us we had some of the best blueberry pancakes, hash browns, and a delicious waffle! Also, a plus for bacon lovers! Out of all the breakfast places I’ve ordered well done bacon at, this was the first place we got perfectly cooked bacon on the first try! As a prego I was unable to order any of their fancy breakfast cocktails but I did see a few go by that looked spot on! The waitress was lovely and the manager as well! She jumped in when they were short staffed and the service didn’t miss a beat! The food came out very quick and hot which was very refreshing after many a cold egg at other establishments. In conclusion at jojo Apples we had awesome food, good service, and an over all great experience!

I was told this place is amazing. I had a grill chicken salad. Though I enjoyed it, it was not amazing. On weekends there is a wait. The servers were very generous.

This place is great! It is now our go to place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The décor is very pretty and very cozy — a little like a bed and breakfast. The service is fabulous! Everybody is friendly and smiling. And last, but not least, the food is delicious and you get plenty on your plate. Love this place!

Ordered a grilled cheese with avocado. Sounds good right? It wasn’t since the avocado that was served to me was rotten.

I read a good review in Newsday long ago and wanted to try but never got there until yesterday. We were impressed and well satisfied. I read some of the other weak reviews and i could see how, if the place is busy, the experience might diminish. We went 1:45 on Sunday and that seemed to be fine. The waitress was friendly, attentive, knew the menu well and offered helpful suggestions. We each had frittatas. Good ingredients, well prepared, delicious and plentiful servings. We both commented that we felt we were having a home cooked meal. A terrific place for breakfast. We look forward to trying their lunch and the dinner menu looked worth investigating.

Bad omelet, bad toast, bad everything. Service started ok, then died. I recommend a drive to a diner for the same bad stuff for cheaper $

That’s right. One star. Zero would be better. Sitting here right now. Haven’t ordered a thing(except coffee) because I’m waiting for my wife who is 15 minutes late. I’ve been stared at and questioned multiple times already for not ordering. Finally, a waitress came and asked when my guest was arriving because«we’re getting really busy and we need the tables». That’s almost shocking. I suppose if you enjoy your coffee too long after breakfast they’ll call the cops? One waitress, fine, but getting the looks and gears from several shows a complete lack of respect and its on the organization as a whole. At this point an apology and a breakfast that blows my mind is the only way I change this review. And even then…

We returned to Long Island for a family reunion weekend, and stopped in Long Beach to show our 37 year old son where we lived our first year of married life. After a hot walk along the Boardwalk, we needed to quench our thirst and satisfy our hunger. I had not enjoyed a plate of steamers in so many years, and was so looking forward to them. Jo Jo did not disappoint me. They were fresh and delicious, served with broth and butter just like I remembered. My wife ordered the Mediterranean Wrap, my son had the Reuben. The wait staff were very responsive and friendly. Both were presented well, fresh and very delicious. If we still lived in Long Beach this place would definitely become a favorite.

Went to breakfast with my daughter. Sat outside, beautiful weekend morning. Luckily we beat the crowd. Lovely. Christine, our waitress was a doll, food came out quickly. We each ordered eggs benedict. Food just okay. Not great. But atmosphere and Christine will bring us back.

AVOIDTHISPLACEATALLCOSTS!!! First experience here and it seems like they went out of their way to make it a miserable one. Took forever to get seated and when we finally did they made a new table for us right next to the kitchen– specifically in the way of the other servers. Was disappointed mostly because what I wanted to order was sold out, and so were my next 2 choices, and it was only noon on Sunday brunch? My 4th choice ended up being decent but others at my table were disappointed with their meals. Our waitress was pretty flustered too, forgot a bunch of our stuff throughout the meal. It was also happened to be my sisters birthday, and we told her thinking she would maybe put a candle on her meal or something. She just outright forgot her breakfast instead! The waitresses were also yelling at each other, which can’t be good either.

Visited This restaurant on a Sunday afternoon before the beach the other day. I sat down for brunch and began ordering a whole bunch of plate of things that all ended up being fantastic. Highly recommended place, especially if you’re looking for good food as opposed to everything offered at the beach. It’s suggested to go visit. A+++++

Jojo Apple is a neighborhood gem. I’m sure most of the people you see here live in this little tucked away neighborhood in Long Island. However, the food is dinner inspired but much better than just regular olé IHOP. I ordered the Eggs Chesapeake and Lemon ricotta pancakes with mixed berry compote. Both of which were insanely delicious! The Eggs Chesapeake is a poached egg on top of a very meaty crab cake, with a grilled tomato and hollandaise sauce. Those crab cakes are to die for. I gave JoJo’s a 4 instead of a 5 because Despite the servers being pleasant, service is usually a hit or miss. But the food is always great! Also, if you order a mimosa beware that they are watered down with ice ! Just ask for plain sparkling wine !

My fiancé and I live down the street in Long Beach, we have been going to Jojo’s for almost a year. Maybe 10 times, we even had fathers day there last year. I am done, the food is ok, but the reason why I will never spend another dime at Jojo’s is the service, besides the blonde girl with the glasses by the register. Every waitress is slow, grumpy and rude. They always act like they are in the weeds, flustered is not the word. They have like 4 tables and they run around like their heads cut off and they have busboys… We have had this same waitress(tall, late 60s, early 70’s short brown hair) 4 times who we call«Flo» tell us to STOP holding hands. Who the F cares if I want to hold my futures wife’s hand. She is curt with all of her tables and often slams things on the table when she FINALLY serves them to you. Last Sunday my fiancé asked two different waitress’s a question about how much extra it would be for a scoop of tuna on a side salad, one walked away and the other made it sound it was so annoying that she could not be bothered. Every waitress in there is a snot and very rude. BOTTOMLINE, SLOW, GRUMPY waitress who should have retired long ago. Food is actually not bad and that is why we kept coming back. We have actually sat at the counter before and waitress watched, its hilarious to watch them scramble and act all busy for like 4 tables and watching«Flo» take orders and interact with customers is great fun, she is so rude and curt. Jojo apples if you were not in a town with like two other restaurants you would have closed after 1 season, but congratulations on number 13!!!

A beautiful Saturday morning seemed like the right time to shoot over to Jo Jo’s, a cute brunch spot on Lido Blvd. down the way in Point Lookout. I was pleased to get a table immediately. The brunches were served quickly and were delicious. We ordered cinnamon apple topped crème cheese stuffed french toast off the regular menu and a «southwest scramble» off the specials menu. The scrambled eggs were mixed with all the things you’d expect. They included black beans, corn, green onions, tomatoes, and chorizo sausage and just a bit of cheddar cheese. Served with salsa, fresh avocados and some rustic hash browned potatoes. Some good hot coffee from our friendly server along with very«homey» tasting food made me happy to give a well earned five star review.

Tried this place for the first time over the weekend, despite living in the area for years now. Overall, they serve a great breakfast. Wait time was about 15 minutes on a Sunday at 11am, which isn’t bad considering this place is pretty small. Wifey had a steak eggs Benedict, which was the traditional dish with tender(skirt?) steak replacing the Canadian bacon. It was good, but the flavor of Canadian bacon compliments the dish better than steak does. It was served with«pinot noir hollandaise sauce» which was actually rather bland. A hearty, filling breakfast, but lacking something in the flavor department. I had bacon, eggs, and lemon ricotta pancakes. Pancakes were super thin, almost more of a crêpe consistency, but they were absolutely delicious. Served with a sweet berry compote that compliments them perfectly. Would totally go back to JoJo’s to have these again. We sat right by the kitchen, and could see/hear servers apparently were having a stressful morning. They were all frazzled and worked up and aggravated. The place only seats like maybe 40 people… hard to believe they were having such a hard time with a small breakfast crowd. I will say our server was great and got our food out fast. Coffee was constantly refilled. We would totally return to JoJo’s again.

Jojo apples has always been one of my favorite places for brunch in lido beach/point lookout and years ago I would have rated it five star. I used to take anyone from out of town, but now I can’t due to being embarrassed by the decline of this place. The menu is still fantastic with their perfect pancakes, frittatas that are to-die-for, and an Asian salad that I can’t get anywhere else. The mimosas are also great in the summer and hot chocolate is sooooo good in the winter. So what’s the problem? Service and cleanliness. I brought a guest from out of town after raving about this place and was embarrassed when they served us with a dirty glass and utensils. Not only that but when we ordered the waitress advised that it was too much food for two people and started explaining how to order and make it cheaper… but also give up what I wanted(read: you don’t need the extra raisin toast, you will save $ 3 if you get regular). When the food was served she put one plate on top of another plate with pancakes(gross) and then proceeded to put that plate down leaving a mess of pancake topping underneath. I love jojo apples so I gave this place a second chance with another guest. On this visit, the waitress served me tea… which she put down in a small pot on the table after dripping it all over. She was oblivious to the spreading puddle of hot water and said oh the pot is a little drippy… I then lifted it up and showed her that there was a hole in the bottom. On the same visit the waitress was serving and rudely said to someone at my table«can you help out and grab your plate, these plates are hot you know». Lastly, the restaurant has declined in general(broken things, rocky chairs, horrible bathroom). I miss the old jojo apples!!! Bring it back! (In all fairness, there is one GREAT waitress-a petite blond… but the rest, esp a tall brunette with very short hair act like you should be helping them).
