A beautiful little shop full of local hand crafted items, produce, and wool products. Terribly expensive, even with the handmade/locally produced thought in mind. I would’ve loved to bring home a skein of handspun or hand dyed yarn, but there’s no way it was affordable to buy enough to make anything. :( Still, very beautiful offerings, and the little food part of the shop did have some very interesting local items.

I spied this place on our way up to Gualala and insisted on stopping in on the way home. It looked intriguing, especially in a such a tiny town. All the ladies in my family do some kind of needlework, so I was sure we would like the place. I was right. They had a small but very thoughtful selection of items(blankets, socks, hats, sock puppets, clothing, supplies) made from wool. I fell in love with the hand-felted wool hats. It was too hot to even contemplate wearing one, but they were lovely. Ditto for the wool socks. That’s all in the main room. there is a smaller room with local food stuffs. I bought some Petaluma honey and was excited to read signs saying that wine and locally made cheese were coming forthwith. I definitely plan to go back, most likely at the beginning of my next jaunt up Highway 1. It’s definitely worth a visit if you are tooling around that part of Sonoma County.

I love this shop and it’s not just because of the sock puppet I bought from there. Or the cute little felted sheep and alpacas. I think that overall it’s a great shop with a lot of unique items that are specific for the area. It seems to carry a lot of local artist’s work in addition to lots of different felting items and handmade items. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.
