Affordable tickets, alcoholic beverages, snacks, and popcorn. Are you interested yet? Well, the first time I went to this movie theater I got lost. Let me say, its a little bit off the beaten path if you are unfamiliar with Plimoth Plantation. However, I am glad I drove around in circles and finally found this place! Like I said, this place is affordable. A great place to go for date night. You don’t have to worry about someone’s head blocking your view of the screen, as this seems to be a little known wonder of Plymouth. They often show independent films and movies that are nominated for all the big awards, but not shown in mainstream theaters anymore. Its worth the trip!

I went to this theater the first time last week to see«Polisse,» and I’m going back to see«Your Sister’s Sister.» I agree with the other reviewers — this is a clean, comfortable theater that shows movies you either can’t see on the South Shore or have to wait to see if Loring Hall will pick them up. And, having sat through a movieplex showing of «Snow White and the Huntsman» a couple weeks ago, I’ve had it with teenagers who are only there to entertain each other.(Sorry, I love teenagers and raised a couple myself, but some of the kids who go to the movies are loud and rude enough to keep adults away.) If you haven’t gone to Plimoth, do it – you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Independent films, wine and beer, lots of parking, great fun. I only wish there were a 9pm show in the summer.

I’m very glad Plimoth Cinema exists. It’s basically the only place to see first run(basically, they’re a tiny bit later) independent films in the area, without having to trek up to Kendall. As other reviews have said, there’s only one screen but it’s not a big deal. The theatre is very comfortable and super clean. There are 2 showings a day, at 4:30 and 7:00, and on Saturdays they serve beer and wine which is really nice! It’s a lovely experience, definitely more relaxing than going to the local mall movie theatre to watch films in sticky seats amidst a sea of talking texting teens. The screen is smaller than a regular theatre screen, but not by much. The sound and picture are good. The film selections sometimes cater to an older crowd — there are a few good edgier indies that did not come down here that I was wishing would. But for the most part they do a good job. Recently I’ve seen the latest Herzog and Von Trier films here, so I’m not really complaining.

I love The Plimoth Cinema. They play mostly high quality independent films, and rotate on a weekly basis. My wife and I saw most of the movies last season. The seats are comfortable and there’s plenty of room in the theater. As an added bonus, we’re Club Card members which entitles us to discounted admission. A hidden jewel!

We stumbled upon the Plimoth Cinema completely by accident while doing a search of local theaters. Well much to our surprise that there’s actually a cinema at Plimoth Plantation showing 1st run, relatively new films! When we arrived we were greeted with«Thanks for coming, tell your friends and grab yourselves a beer at the bar!» Yes, please! Now the cinema is in the main building on the property and is used for a variety of programs, but they’ve been showing movies here for almost 2 years and I doubt too many people know about it. It’s the same price as every other theater, but without the sticky floors and annoying kids! There’s a snack bar, beer & wine service and comfortable seats. At first glance I didnt think the sound and picture would be very good, but I was very mistaken. In fact, I thought the sound was far better than that of the Regal Cinemas in Kingston. The movie selection is limited as there’s only one screen, but it seems they’ve made a conscious effort to show films that may not make it to every other theater or that have simply been overlooked.
