My first time using NE propeller is similar to Warren’s experience, excellent service and craftsmanship, they went way out of their way for me before a busy summer weekend. Highly recommended. Slightly more expensive then the mail away places, but you can drive there and talk prop tech to someone face to face, get tuning recommendations, support a local biz & as everyone knows you get what you pay for.

Propellers are like tires you need them to make you go forward. You hit a pot hole you need a new tire. You hit the bottom you maybe lucky enough to have your VERY expensive «wheels» turned. «Wheels» is marine jargon for propellers for we boaters/​captains/​anglers/​fans of Deadliest Catch. So passing through this channel in Pleasant Bay at low tide I should have been idling but no I was just above idle which causes the stern to squat. That is not a marine term. Anyway, into the truck the wheels go and I’m off the NE Propeller. In a non-​descript location in Plymouth’s many industrial drives. Word of caution, the web site directions do not match up with my GPS. So in I go and they look at these «wheels» and a look of anguish comes over the face of the tech who will refurbish these. «I was hoping for better.» Now of course the fact that all four blades on each prop looked like they had been blown off the boat, dropped off a cliff or were made of some soft chiffon substance made not difference to me. Trying to hide my embarrassment at his expression led me further into depression. 5 days later… voila. New like perfectly repaired wheels. Not inexpensive but perfect craftsmanship and expert communicaton!
