One of my favorite things to do in the area on a late weekend morning: grab my book, go to Mirbeau and indulge. I order a mimosa and steak frites. Oh so good. The steak frites rival the steak frites in France. Trust me. And when I’m here I just zone out and enjoy every savory bite while reading. It’s such an excellent start to my day. It is a bit«pricey» but I like that. I don’t want the same prices as IHOP, and I don’t want the same menu so I’m okay with paying more for some exclusivity.

I cannot for the life of me understand how this place still has 4 stars. Went with my spouse in Spring 2015 using a Groupon and it was quiet and lovely, if also pricey. Went back a year later and it was, well, bad. Part of me feels like I should give it a 2-star rating, bc they really do seem to be trying. But I absolutely wouldn’t return unless I knew some serious changes had been made, so a 1-star rating seems to better fit… The hotel is not cheap — our room was well over $ 300 for 1 night, plus they charge a usage fee per person for use of the spa area. Because we were going for the express purpose of enjoying the spa area, we didn’t balk, but given the room rates it’s an annoying add on. But then you get to the spa and can’t enjoy it bc it just can’t accommodate the volume of people they allow to use it. The hot tub is huge and lovely, and fits maybe 15 people comfortably. One afternoon we counted 23. Some were quietly trying to relax and enjoy, but most were drinking and shrieking and talking loudly. It was like being in the middle of a sorority reunion, if that paints a picture… So you leave the outdoor hot tub area and head inside to the quiet area, which is also so overflowing with people it requires a staff person to point out which seats they think are likely to vacate soon. There’s a big sign on the wall with rules for use of the space, one of which is «respect the silence.» Um, except this ‘quiet’ room is also officially the waiting area for anyone getting spa treatments. So it’s not just full of people talking at full volume, or whispering loudly in groups of 2,3,4, and 5 people. It’s also got the staff loudly calling out names and welcoming people every time the treatment rooms turnover. Truly loud and annoying. So we head back to the room, planning to go back to the hot tub area when others are headed to dinner. According to the info binder in our room, the Aqua Terrace serves food and drink until 9pm. Get there at 6:45pm and it’s closed. Great, thanks info binder. Go for a soak in the hot tub(much quieter, and truly lovely) and head in to eat in the restaurant. Sit at the bar and get weird, odd, rude treatment from the bartender. Utensils and stemware are dirty(and I don’t mean just spotty 0 see the pic for an example of the kind of thick, caked on food). Food is mediocre. We watch the bartender be equally rude to another couple at the bar, and to the piano player who is taking a break and having dinner next to us. Then after dinner we watch the bartender clear our plates and glasses and put my used, dirty napkin back on the stack of clean ones. Yuck! After dinner, in our room, we listen to the sorority reunion rage on in the hall. We also notice there’s an area in our bathroom, in the little toilet area, that doesn’t seem to have been cleaned in quite some time. The next day after breakfast(dirty glasses, dirty plate, added an ingredient I am allergic to and had to remake my food) we check out. We receive an email requesting that we complete a survey regarding our stay. I complete it with all of these details(and more — they were fresh then and it’s been a few months now since our visit in April). Never heard a peep back from the owner or a representative. Why bother asking for our opinion if you don’t plan on responding? It’s almost like the survey and subsequent lack of response intensified our overall dissatisfaction. The ideas behind this place are lovely. It’s decorated beautifully and the spa could be — SHOULD be — just delicious. But they have no control over the clientele, no true waiting room for services, not enough staff to keep towels and tea and water stocked, and seeming issues with cleanliness. Given the price, we expected much more. And at the very least a response to our survey. Sadly, despite our wishes this could be a new, quick get-away place, we won’t be returning. Mir-boo is more like it.

This was the most amazing spa I have ever been to. Very high end. Pricey but worth it. The relaxation area is amazing. Very calming. Highly recommend massages and wraps. Outside patio and bar with hot tub and indoor almost cave like with comfy lounge chairs and heated foot bath. Everyone gets the softest robe for every treatment. The bistro upstairs had amazing food. Cheese plate, French onion soup and short rib sandwich, highly recommend. Service was on point. Desert is a must try sundae. Comes in a chocolate ball and hot caramel is poured over it to reveal the actual sundae. If I could give 6 stars o would. Again, pricey but worth every penny.

Last night I came in with a party of 5 around 6:15… At the beginning of our experience there, the evening started out very slow, the bartender was wonderful and very knowledgable! After we were seated our waitress approached us and took some time for us to receive our drinks… We looked around the restaurant and realized the place was completely packed… Our waitress was so sweet but just seemed to be very overwhelmed… Noticing there was only 3 people on for wait staff… Way too busy for only 3 people to handle! As our night went on everything seemed to take forever… Our food came out room temperature and if we are paying $ 25-$ 35-$ 40 a plate I don’t expect it to be room temperature! Finally when we got done with our dinners. We ordered dessert and our espressos were already done before we received our dessert, by that time we cancelled our dessert, 45 minutes later! Overall we had an awful experience! I hope you guys can get it together soon, beautiful place, great menu, wonderful staff… Seems like the food would’ve been very enjoyable if the kitchen and even management could step it up!

Came here last night for a special wine dinner with wines from the great Peter Michael winery in Sonoma. Paul Michael, the owner, was there to speak about each wine pairing. Chef Stephen Coe presented an extraordinary 5-course menu including a trio of foie gras preparations, three versions of spring lamb, wild boar as delicate as veal and an extraordinary sea urchin and lobster cassoulet with crispy pork belly and salsify foam that wowed even the most jaded of palates. Paul Michael makes extraordinary wines. His La Carriere Chardonnay and the Au Paradis Cabernet Sauvignon(24% Cab Franc) were revelatory. The Bistro at Mirbeau Inn and their special events which highlight the extraordinary talents of Chef Coe just keep getting better. It was an expensive evening but well worth the price and the effort on a miserably rainy night.

I wish I could give this place six stars. It’s heavenly. I came here this weekend with a couple girlfriends for indulgent relaxation. I had been to Mirbeau in Skaneateles and absolutely loved it– this location is quite similar. To start, the setting and spa building are so beautiful. The pictures from their website do not mislead. Once you check in at the front desk you’re given a plush robe and flip flops to wear around the spa. You go into the locker room, which is very elegant and well stocked. You can place all your belongings in a code-operated locker. The locker room smells like eucalyptus, as the showers are infused with eucalyptus, and so is the steam room. We all changed into our robes and put our things away, and made our way to the waiting room before our massages. The waiting room should really be called«Heaven’s Nap Room.» It’s a quiet, tranquil environment where guests relax on ergonomic lounge chairs, rest their feet in a warm pool, or relax by the fire while sipping complimentary tea or cucumber infused ice water. We were called in for our massages as therapists became available. One of my friends and I did the«couple’s» massage for 50 minutes. The massage tables were warm and very comfortable. Soft music played, and out therapists were very skilled and gave amazing massages. After about 15 minutes of deep relaxation, I felt like I was on a cloud… And also decided to loosen up a bit and joke with my friend and our therapists(who had been very quiet at first). Upon our pressing through the silence and showing our true goofy colors, our therapists also started laughing with us, and it was a pleasant experience filled with both extreme relaxation and laughter. Of course, these therapists are highly professional, and would have been quiet throughout the experience if we just wanted to zone out. We then returned to the waiting room and lounged on the chairs with cucumber water to continue the relaxation. Then we leisurely made our way to the aqua terrace, which is an outdoor hot whirlpool/plunge pool. Again, this was super relaxing and a nice change of pace– and we could be louder out there. We ordered wine and cocktails at the bar(everyone really liked the«spa punch»), which added to our fun and relaxation(not so much our hydration though). At this point, we were all waiting to get a pedicure, but had our appointments staggered, so we sort of split apart hereafter. A few of my friends and I went upstairs to the«Bistro» for a late lunch.(People wear their spa robes there!) It was really nice and relaxed. The three of us ordered two things to share: the spa vegan burger and the apple brie flatbread. Both were great. I heard the regular burgers and fries are delicious too. After, we went back down to the spa and it was time for my pedicure. It was another awesome experience: the pedicurist was super nice and skilled, the massage chair was amazing, and they give a great long exfoliation and calf/foot massage. Finished off with nice nail care and polish. When it was done I returned to the waiting room to let my polish set. and fell into a deep relaxing nap for almost an hour! Seriously, this room is the best. Then, before we got ready to leave we made a stop in the eucalyptus steam room, cooled off with a cold wash cloth on the face, and showered. They provide awesome spa shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shave gel, and even a razor. They also have lotion, mouthwash, small combs, hairspray, hairdryers and spray deodorant. Really, you don’t need to bring much here. The entire experience was incredibly relaxing, and I will definitely come again. I wish we had arrived even earlier(we stayed from noon to 7:30 haha) so we could have done yoga or make use of their fitness facilities! We did not stay overnight, so I cannot comment on guest rooms, but I imagine they’re incredible. The prices are very high, and if you go on the weekend you have to do two services as opposed to just one during the weekday. But if it’s within your budget, it really is an awesome splurge. This is a great place to unplug and unwind.

Pretty property in a quiet, peaceful setting. The front desk staff, Rick and Jim were very helpful and professional. Restaurant food and servers were fabulous. Unfortunately, the spa was greatly lacking. Classes were cancelled while you’re waiting to take them. Spa desk staff extremely rude and unprofessional. Not the experience expected at this class of property. If you want to enjoy your spa weekend, I’d look somewhere else.

This place is heaven. I grew up in Plymouth and there is really not too many places like this. It’s extraordinary. It’s located in Pinehills, a little bit hidden away which just adds to the exceptional experience. You don’t have to stay there to dine there. I took my mother there for a birthday brunch and it was wonderful. Just be aware, their breakfast does end early. Also, I did stay there one night and it was incredible. First of all the service was incredible. So friendly, and so helpful. The guy even told some funny jokes. We were escorted to our room and helped with our bags. There were chocolates at our nightstands, and a wonderful fireplace and beautiful and comfortable bed. The bathroom is very spacious and the place makes you feel like a king or queen. Also, I did have one of their spa services. I got a one hour facial and it was great. Not only was it relaxing but my facialist actually gave me advice the whole time about what products I should be using & what will be more helpful for my skin. Since then, I have followed her advice and my skin has improved so much. I have only experienced Mirabeau during the winter, but I can only imagine how beautiful it is during the spring or summer. They would have outdoor seating for the restaurant and the restaurant is right over a cute little lake. They also have a hot tub that’s open year-round outside that looks really fun that I have not yet tried. I guess I’ll have to go back :-) I live in Los Angeles, but I go back to visit often and that is always something I look forward to going to. Highly recommended.

The Mirbeau is a very new, high-end resort located in sleepy Pinehills. A unique location to escape from the daily noises and stress that work brings you. Whether you are passing by or staying a couple of nights, the Mirbeau offers everything for the thirsty, exhausted, stressed and hungry traveler. The bar and bistro is offering a wide variety of different seafood and meat plates, all very well cooked and taken care of by their in-house chef. It really elevates the whole palate and experience of this resort. The rooms are dimes. With a quick flip of the switch you can enjoy a glass of wine by the fireplace while chilling in your bathrobe after a long day of spa treatments or just chilling in the quiet area in the downstairs spa. The rooms has a magnificent bathroom with tub(with room for two) and separate rain shower which is hard to get out of in the morning. The spa offers personal treatments but also a community area with Jacuzzi and quiet room. If it’s sunny out make sure to go to the Aqua Terrace where you can enjoy your favorite beverages while just enjoying the sunset. All by all, this is probably one of the most modern spa resorts on your way to the Cod. All the employees greet you with a great smile and you feel welcome every single time you pass somebody by.

Beautiful place, all around. The entire spa experience is a must! I love how one service allows a client to enjoy the entire premesis. The food is wonderful, the robes are so comfortable, the steam room is so relaxing and smells wonderful. I love the foot soaking pool, the relaxing music piping into the common area, and the relaxing fireplace. The outside area with the bar, firepit, and hot tub is simply amazing! The staff is incredibly friendly! I have specifically dealt with Fallon on my 2 visits to the spa, and she is so helpful and goes out of her way to make sure I enjoy my time there! The massage rooms are awesome, too! I love the scent of the lotions, ad that the client gets a choice between two scents to use. The fireplace inside the massage room is an awesome touch. I highly suggest a stay at the Mirbeau Inn & Spa!

I’ll start with the positives. I received a 50 minute deep tissue massage by an incredibly talented and charismatic masseuse. We actually talked throughout the entire 50 minute session. The rest of the massage staff seemed friendly as well. Following the massage, my friends and I went to the dining room to grab lunch. Our waitress as friendly and attentive as she could be. However, the one person who turned our experience at Mirbeau into a negative experience, and resultantly lost four loyal customers, was the restaurant manager. Our first experience with him was when we ordered mimosas at the hot tub. After politely asking for our drinks, he barely acknowledged our request and sent a server down 45 minutes later with our drinks– which we had to decline because we had massage appointments. Later on, we ran into this manager again in the dining room. He made his way around to each table, greeting the customers and chatting with them. Our table was the only one he skipped. He continued to glare at us from afar and ignore our requests for drinks and food. Though the restaurant was understandably busy, each table around us received their meals before us– regardless of who was seated first. Being a minority– in my twenties, surrounded by older clientele, I couldn’t help but feel profiled for my age. Ironically enough, this restaurant manager seemed to be of similar age to myself and my friends. Due to his actions toward us, I will not be returning to Mirbeau.

Treated so disrespectfully and profiled for being in my 20s and a woman. Never have I been made to feel so unwanted for no reason… NOT worth the money. Writing a lengthy complaint. For starters, the service was slower than slow. I waited over an hour for a drink I received(ironically???) 5 minutes before my massage treatment, so I was unable to drink it. After my treatment I ordered another one and waited even longer, with no sign of what was happening. I went up to the dining room to have a meal and not only was the service slow, but I was treated with the most disrespect from the manager, almost like I was invisible. He went around to talk to every table except for mine, and even gave the tables around me a free glass of wine, or even a bottle, for having to wait for the service, but never even said a word to me, even though I was waiting longer… Every time I tried to make eye contact with him to ask a question, or inquire about my order he looked away, or even sometimes walked in the other direction and pretended like he didn’t see me. The waitress was even getting annoyed with how awful he was treating my table. Furthermore, he made me walk all the way down to my locker, on the other side of the building, to show the waitress my ID, AGAIN, even though he was the one who took my order for drinks in the first place over two hours ago… He did not even ask me in person the second time for my ID, he made the waitress do it, even after she said it was OK for me to have a drink anyway because I had been there for several hours, and am clearly over age… I will end my rant, but I can not say enough how disappointed I am with this service. I was there for a dear friends birthday and what was suppose to be an enjoyable and stress free day turned into exactly the opposite. Again, I have never been treated so disrespectfully for no reason in my entire life. The clear profiling and disrespect was unbelievable. I have family members who are members, and they are NOT renewing their memberships after this display of behavior…

What a(not so) hidden gem! Not too far from Boston. Outdoor hot tub, with firepits nearby, sauna that is infused with the best aromas, quite serenity room, & the message was top notch. I suggest grabbing lunch, with everyone else dining in their robes too! Try the fried oysters with bee pollen & chive fondue. Delish!

While our first experience at Mirbeau was great this return trip left us disappointed and most likely stop us from returning. The first time we came my wife and I had spend one night only and enjoyed the Spa and the Henri-Marie restaurant. This time we decided to make reservations for two nights to be able to enjoy ourselves and spread out the 4 hour drive we go through to get there. Below are each sections and details on each. Check in — As always the check-in process is seamless. We were taken straight to our room had no issues. Dining — After getting setup and relaxing a bit we decided to get ready or dinner and also make reservations for dinner the next night at Henri-Marie. To say we were disappointed when finding out their main restaurant was closed is an understatement. Considering the type of establishment this is and knowing that we were returning customers who had dined there before I would have expected the reservation agent to tell me the restaurant had closed. We are therefore left with the«bistro». While the cuisine is good there it is far from the ambiance a couple is seeking. The Bistro — overall was a disappointment. As I said the food is good, the service to get seated is beyond slow and the food is even slower to get out. This is to the point that out of four meals there 3 took over 30 mins from ordering to get to the table. We’re not talking about fine cuisine that takes a while to make, some flatbread like pizzas for example took over 30 mins to make. The worse was a meal where the appetizer was a plate of charcuterie, we’re talking raw meat. That took over 30 mins and the waitress when asked what was the hold up said it was because another table had ordered the same thing first. This meal was a fiasco but at least the manager got involved and comp’ed it. Though that didn’t really matter much since we had booked a package and had a credit for meals… Spa — The spa was also a disappointment compared to our previous visit. The locker room and spa area had times had zero towels to be found, at which point I had to go find staff to ask them to replenish something as simple as that. The«resting area» was so loud that once again I had to find staff member to patrol their patrons to respect others there. Spa Services — As part of the spa services we had ordered was a couples massage(80 mins). That was a pleasure. Both staff member were professional and the massage was amazing. My wife also got a facial that she said was great. One of the other services I got was a manicure. As a man this is something I’ve done very rarely but figured why not treat myself. While the service itself was good it ran quite short. Something that’s supposed to be 50 mins and only takes 40 is slightly annoying especially at the rates you pay. I understand that I don’t go through the nail polish phase a women might but then either have a packet available for you male patrons or adjust the price accordingly. Check-out — Check out is fast and efficient. The only downfall is that your bill is explained in 3 seconds and I was left feeling some things were not clearly explained. We had booked a package and when there booked extra services. Since it was a week discounted for teacher and my wife being one we asked to get the discount for those services. Whether or not that discount was applied wasn’t really answered. Also to note is that Mirbeau authorized my card on file three different time for three different amounts. I still don’t know if I actually got charge what they showed and will have to wait to see what authorization were actually processed. For people that get billed over a thousand dollar for 2 nights and some spa treatments you’d expect a little more detail and clarity. Summary — Sorry for this long winded review. I normally try to keep things short but really wanted to share my experience as best as I could. We’re far from picky people and I don’t want people to think that we were complaining about things just to complain. We work hard to earn a living and when we spend what we did here we really expect to be wow’ed. Especially when spending that much for just two nights and really one day of spa treatments. Instead we left Mirbeau wondering if we wasted a lot of money that we could have spend elsewhere. EDIT: Classes — My wife took part in one of the classes offered there. She said that while the rooms are nice they are not wired for sound. The instructor came with her phone and a tiny bluetooth speaker and that’s what was used for the class. Maybe they should consider some kind of sound system in one of their rooms if it’s needed for classes. This seemed more like a class you’d take at the Y.

Best hotel spa Inn I have been in the USA. Unforgettable experience, beautiful place, two choice of restaurant to eat at. French style food. Expensive but all worth it! Our room was &380 for one night, spa treatment is excellent starting $ 120 it’s not huge so it’s limited room.

First thing’s first. The beds in this place are quite possibly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. It’s honestly worth it just for that. The staff is is BEYOND accommodating. It seems like everyone is doing multiple jobs, but *not* in a way that that they seem spread too thin. It gives this place a comforting, homey air. Plus everyone seems knowledgeable about all aspects of fitness and health here, so you can ask anyone about any part of the spa. Awesome. The reason I gave this place four stars and not five was because I do consider myself a yogi, and to be fair I only took one class, but the instructor seemed to not be a comfortable yoga. The class seemed unorganized and she never really allowed us to get centered and meditate. But overall, a wonderful experience. I’ll definitely come back and recommend this place to friends.

Staff is beyond nice and accommodating; Stephen, Ashley, Jon at the front desk, Stacy at the bistro, Natalie, Dasha at the spa is an excellent masseuse. Saw a previous post and have to agree, the polish on my mani pedi was not applied well. I’ve had much better at my local. Many flaws already showing wear in the 2nd day. Even the standard rooms are lovely. Haven’t eaten at Henri-Marie but the bistro food is excellent. I had a vegan burger with chickpea fries, lobster BLT, and a mushroom, asparagus, goat cheese omelet. All were amazing. We had a few kinks but the staff is so kind and quick to respond. No major issues. Can’t wait to come back!

Bought a groupon, visited with a girlfriend and had a fantastic time! Booking was easy, check in was quick and we took advantage of everything the spa had to offer. Outdoor jacuzzi(amazing in the rain!), steam showers, relaxation room, drink service, lunch in the restaurant… and that was all before we had any spa services. The hotel looks fantastic though that is one thing I did not experience. Quite honestly, I’m not really the kind of person that could ever make Mirbeau part of their regular life as the normal prices are well outside of my budget. But the groupon package was really reasonable and made me eager to try to make this a special event again.
