L & S Doors

I called Lou to come and fix a broken spring on one of my garage doors. He gave me a very fair quote & then I asked him about replacing a couple of the panels that are rotting. He said for a few hundred more we could replace the entire door. My wife and I were able to design the doors we wanted, of course we upgraded them so the cost went up, but still a very good price. Lou didn’t charge me to fix the broken spring since he was replacing the doors anyway which was very nice. The doors are beautiful and the installation was great. I highly recommend L&S Doors, they are a pleasure to deal with.

Better than my initial impression
Ok, I had initially given these guys a pretty harsh review, based on it being rather difficult to get them to come out and actually do the job. I suspect that review may have motivated them to come out, and now that they have I can say I am very pleased with the results, and they have gone way above and beyond in their efforts.
This was a residential job involving almost every door in the house, and they helped me arrive at several decisions with some useful, practical advice. Two guys came out and did a number of small jobs quickly, and they were both very friendly and pleasant to deal with. The above and beyond part just happened. The assistant come out today to wrap up a couple of final things. He finished up, and as I was thanking him he mentioned he was off to the hospital for stitches; apparently he had cut one of his fingers almost completely off, and not only did he finish the job, I never even heard him curse or cry out in pain. I had no idea he had injured himself and I was within easy earshot. He didn’t even ask for a bandaid.
So…based on my experience I would in fact recommend these guys as capable, competent, and committed. Just make sure you work out a schedule when you book them.
