Ken, the owner of KnK, is either delusional or a fraud. Regardless of which he is, he is surely not a man you want to do business with. He will assure the naïve that he is a paint professional, that he has painted award winning bikes, and he will happily run through all of the things he will do to ensure you are a happy customer(e.g., dip and seal the tank, install a new petcock, cut and buff, etc.). … he will do none of these things. What he will do, however, is hold your parts hostage for months on end utilizing every excuse possible. After 4 – 6 months, when he senses you have little attention span for further excuses, he finally will promise a delivery date. What will he deliver? Painted components that are poorly prepped(fish-eyed), a urethane clear coat which fails to harden, poorly masking resulting in lifted paint, an unsealed tank, and a demand he get paid with some nonsensical excuse as to why the paint is off: «I had to brake hard on the way here and the parts fell off the seat». No Ken, the paint looks awful not because of an accident, but rather, because you delivered parts to a customer which were sub-standard and hoped they were naïve enough to walk away. From sheep to wolf. Upon bringing to his attention what a failure the paint job was, he became aggressive and at worst, threatening. He will remind you he is an ex-cop and knows the«in’s and out’s» of defamation lawsuits and that he has«never lost one». Oh really Ken, and why do you find yourself in this situation with such frequency? In short, some searching on vintage Japanese Motorcycle forums will reveal his true character — sadly I did not vet him prior to handing over the parts. And Ken, if you are delusional enough to see this review as «defamation» and not«reality», I implore you to call your lawyer.

I didn’t think my old bike would look new again. I sent it to them to have it completely repainted and I couldn’t believe how it came together! And I didn’t pay an arm and a leg, although it took a while to get it back. ITWASWORTHTHEWAIT I would use them again in the future.
