My 10 year high school reunion was here. I was really disappointed by my experience with Christo’s. After telling us that they never charge a room fee when someone eats a meal with them, Christo’s was disappointed with the low number of meals we were purchasing and asked four days before the event for a $ 250 room fee. The contract didn’t allow for it, so the owner begrudgingly allowed our event to take place without fee. At the last minute, the invoice included an extra $ 30 worth of tax not lined out in the contract. The owner was so upset with the whole thing that he made it a point to tell me right before the event that we «didn’t have a contract signed by him, so we had to leave.» The event was already set up, so he was«joking.» While he thought it was funny, it really upset me and almost set the tone for the event for me. His customer service was absolutely awful, and I’m was surprised he mentioned how the small business works by «word of mouth.» He must not understand that concept as he was incredibly rude. I would offer a word of caution while working with Christo’s and will personally never support their banquet hall or restaurants again. That being said, the manager, Karla, was wonderful; the server, Amelia, was perfect; and the bartender has a great presence that added to our event.
