Pleasantly surprised with my experience here. Came here for a business lunch with 5 of us. Had the fajita chicken salad and assorted lunch items. Orders two of the table side made guacamole. All the food was good but the guac, chips and salsa were outstanding. Some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Prices were very good and I’d recommend this place to anyone. Good service and clean location.

For the price you cannot beat this place. Food, service and atmosphere far beyond the competitive price.

Went here for dinner last night, excellent service. I love the table side guacamole. My food came out quickly and sizzling(literally) lol. Drinks were well mixed; will definitely be back.

I’ve been a few times for lunch, and have never been disappointed. The service is quick and friendly and the food is outstanding. I’ve had a different lunch special each time, and have always been pleased with the dish and the price. Yesterday, I had special 3– a beef enchilada, a chicken and spinach quesadilla, and rice. It was SOGOOD and a very generous portion for a lunch menu. Plaza is always a favorite lunch spot when I’m working out that way, I’d definitely recommend.

When it comes to Mexican food I have to be in a place that has a great atmosphere and ambiance and they have it here! They have lots of booths to sit at and then some tables in case you have a large party, and it’s got that nice dim lighting too! The food was all delicious and it came out REALLY fast! The service was great the whole time as well and prices were very reasonable. Best of all, they have the unlimited chips and salsa… which is really what we base our reviews on right? Salsa was delicious and we got the queso fundito(with chorizo) to go with and that was amazing! I only ate some salad so I am reserving the 5 star until I can go back and try a couple more dishes. I would definitely recommend this as a great restaurant in the area and I hope I can go back soon and try some other menu items.

We eat here at least once a week. Love this place! The burrito mex is our favorite and that’s what we usually order. Sometimes, we have to wait a long time for the waitress to notice us to refill our drinks or get us silverware but we’re used to it and the food and the friendliness of the staff makes it up for it. Will be back in couple of days I’m sure

Our server’s name was Christina. Shes super nice & has amazing customer service skills. The wait for the food was less than 20 minutes after ordering. My drink(frozen blanca) wasn’t strong at all! I wanted to order the jumbo but it was $ 20. I ordered 2 tacos with rice & beans ! The ground beef tasted like beef imitation but the rice and beans were okay. Overall the food was alright, nothing crazy. I wouldn’t recommend if you’re extremely hungry but if you’re looking for a quick meal, this is your place.

This is our new favorite place for Mexican food. Went in Halloween night after trick or treating and were greeted and seated immediately. The staff was friendly and very attentive and even in costume! We had the OMG nachos… And they were OMG great! Our server, Gustavo was terrific! We ordered the Texas fajitas and the enchiladas nortenas and were almost surprised how quickly our entrees arrived. The food was so much better than we were expecting!(we were comparing them to the stylized photos on the plaza Azteca website… And nothing in real life ever looks that good, right?). All in all, we fell in love with the place. Great prices, great service and amazing food!

Still awesome. Keep up the good work! People they have great food and service, this is a «no-brainer»! Go get some! Great date night spot as well. Let them know you’re trying to catch a movie and they will get everything hip-hopping for you. You’ll be in and out in 45 minutes with time to get popcorn and watch the previews.

First time here for lunch. Seated right away and complimentary chips and salsa were served. The chips were very light and the salsa had just the right amount of heat. Service was decent but it took 25 minutes for our food to be served which was a long time for Mexican lunch. The spinach and chicken enchiladas had a lot of spinach and chicken. They were topped with roasted poblano salsa and queso freso. The poblano sauce was absolutely delicious. The accompaniment of rice was light and fluffy. This lunch was perfect! Hope the kitchen will speed it up a tad at lunch time.

We were in town for the weekend, we’re from New Jersey and have never been to this area. We had a limited amount of time to get dinner after work, and came here three nights in a row. It’s that good. Very affordable, the food was delicious, lots of margaritas and beers, the dining room has a big TV and lots of seating, and the bar was always packed. This service is very polite and fast, and we had a great time every night. We had the Queso Fondido twice– delicious. OMG nachos– also good! The Burrito Mex, Enchiladas Chipotle, and one of the chicken dishes. Truly, every night we joked about wishing we were hungrier because we could never finish all the food that we had. Definitely a highlight in this area, I would suggest it anytime.

This is one of the better Mexican restaurants in the immediate area, I would give it 3.5 stars. The unlimited, complimentary chips and salsa were nice as this feature has been hard to find in the Philly burbs, not to mention they taste good too! Tableside guac… a must! This is another item not commonly found in the area, so it’s perfect if you’re a guacamole fan. It’s nice to choose how your guac is made versus winging it with pre-made guac from the kitchen. The drink menu is expansive, and you can get anything you want. The margaritas are delicious! They have large indoor and outdoor seating areas. The outside patio is fun on a nice day! Their indoor bar is large as well. Even though this place is huge, crowds are typical around prime eating times, so I highly recommend going early or late to avoid a long wait. They have a huge parking lot as well, but your biggest problem will be crowds, so plan carefully to enjoy it more! The main downside is that the wait staff can be really slow, so don’t be afraid to grab someone if needed. The KOP location has a nicer ambiance and food, but considering the Mexican food options in/near Plymouth Meeting, it’s still one of the better places. It’s not bad at all, just not the best either. It still satisfies your Mexican food craving!

The ambiance is impressive with a collection of Mexican architectural and artistic pieces throughout the restaurant. The fresh, made-in-front-of-you guacamole is a distinguishing touch as well. Though we didn’t get to hear them perform, there were members of a Mariachi band walking in as we were walking out. The menu is diverse with tons of options. We had the nachos supreme for an appetizer, some of the combo meals for entrees, and fried ice cream for dessert. Since we visited during a Sunday in the fall, many people were watching NFL games on the multiple flat screens in the place. I recommend sitting in a booth instead of the tables for a cozier experience.

Overpriced and NOTACOTUESDAY! Yes, I know its a sin not to have taco Tuesday in a Mexican restaurant but they are sinners indeed. It gets super packed in this restaurant on weekdays and weekends. The food is OK. Nothing out of this world and the prices are just ridiculous for tortillas and shredded chicken. They have room for improvement I believe. If they had weekly specials not just karaōke. They would do better… like Monday Margaritas, Taco Tuesday… you catch my drift. The music here is on point. The customer service is good our waitress was very polite and sweet. But the menu isn’t well organized in my opinion. There is no option or item where you can get a single taco or an order of 3 small basic ones etc. Things of that nature. That’s why I am saying they can definitely improve they just need to work on it. I loved the décor and atmosphere. Its a lovely restaurant. The flan they make is good and so is the pineapple entrée which once again its overpriced. They need to lower their prices by like $ 1.50−2.00. Trust me when I tell you I’ve been to many different states and countries and the cost of the food is not $ 16& up. A reevaluation of their menu and specials will get this business an even better clientele. Some people just settle cause«its good» and there aren’t any more local Mexican restaurant but customers are the ones who can make a difference(because we pay for the service). I want to give this place another go and see if I have a more positive experience.

The food here is top notch, though slightly Americanized. The table side guac is stellar and an absolute must. You also get a ton of it for the price. What is vehemently dislike is: 1)The wait staff. I honestly don’t think they get it. In fact, they are standard setting for how rude they are. They want you to order and then never ask for anything after that. For example, we ordered the table side guac and still didn’t have it after 20 minutes. The waitress snapped back at me and said she didn’t make it and so didn’t know when it’s be out. Madea would have a field day. 2)The drinks don’t have prices, and I find this shady and a disservice to customers. It’s a cheap trick you into high cocktail spend then you might be prepared for.

Wow, you would think based on the reviews here this was the best Mexican restaurant in the Philadelphia region. I was really looking forward to my meal on June 16th based on all the great comments. Boy was I disappointed. We arrived at 4:30 for dinner. The restaurant presents well. Outside is clean and attractive as is the dining area. The bar already had a few customers. The dining area had about 7 – 8 other tables seated. Certainly not busy by any means. The waitress was very pleasant if not particularly attentive. My family ordered a wide variety of dishes: Tacos Carne A Chimichanga Taco Salad Chicken Quesadilla Chicken Fajitas We also started with the table side guacamole. The chips were cold, stale and almost seemed a little moist. Not good. They were thick and somewhat tasteless. It was like they were out of a bag(an old opened one at that). The guacamole was much smaller than at other restaurants. The avocado was strangely pail. We ordered«medium» which is was but the flavor was still very bland. Compared to Uncle Julio’s across the street at the mall, this was a joke. The setiment could be carried through the rest of the dishes as well. Bland to outright bad tasting. No one finished their meals. No one took leftovers home either. The taco salad was incredibly small. My daughter complained that the meat«tasted funny». It wasn’t rotten but it certainly didn’t taste right either. At least my wife enjoyed her margarita. The fried ice cream couldn’t redeem the meal either as it was definitely not fried and the corn flakes they rolled it in were stale and wet even when it was first brought out. I will not be coming back. It was a terrible experience. I only gave it 1 star due to the appearance, my wife’s margarita the the fact that thankfully no one got sick. I’ll be sticking with Uncle Julio’s across the street from now on.

A good venue for either lunch or dinner and conveniently located across the street from my Springhill Suites hotel. The chips during my lunch visit were so-so, yet much better for dinner. The draft beer was up to expectations, and the entrees were well worth ordering and reasonably priced. I didn’t have an issue with customer service nor the response time involved. This venue is quite large, and I noticed that there are areas that can accommodate groups of 12 – 15 people at a table. At night, there is usually karioke singing going on, which can be quite fun. Prior to that, the music level is not terribly loud. The bar seating area seems to have quite a bit of available seats for those that don’t want to sit at a booth or table.

Similar to a Chilis Great vibe. Extensive menu. I ordered some skirt steak dish — what I received was inedible. Couldn’t cut it with the serrated knife. Manager came over to see what the problem was and quickly made me a new one. Can’t say the food was fabulous but I’d go back in a pinch.

This was my second time here and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We were greeted very warmly by the host(same guy as last time!) and seated inside(brrr it was cold out). It was packed on a Tuesday night, which was a good sign. The inside area is very well kept and fun. There was quizzo going on, which gave the whole place an energetic vibe. Multiple TV screens filled both the bar and restaurant area — this would be fun if there was a big game on! Service was AMAZING. Our waitress was so attentive and very helpful with issues in our order — much appreciated! Many reviews — including my previous one — noted that service was slow, but this night service was on point. The manager even replaced my beef enchilada with a cheese one, as I forgot to mention I wanted it to be vegetarian — very nice! Food was just as delish as last time, still don’t know how they make simple beans and rice taste extra good. I whole-heartedly recommend this place! Amazing find on the Main Line. Can’t wait to go again!

Live nearby this place and have gone countless times. Have never been disappointed in any of the food I ordered. Everything is well-priced as well. Except for the margaritas, which do not have prices on the menu and one time I accidentally ordered a $ 25 margarita. I was unaware until the bill came. I think the waitress should have said something when I ordered it considering there isn’t even any food items on the menu that cost that much! But anyway, this place has great, fresh food. The real star is the table-side guacamole. It is absolutely delicious and done just as you ask — spicy or mild, sweet(with pineapple!!) or not. Other good food choices: seafood chimichangas, fajitas veracruz, chore chicken, enchiladas del mar, chicken sonoran, chiles rellenos. The only reason this is place is not getting 5 stars is the service. The hostesses have never given me an accurate wait time. The servers are also spotty as well — either fantastic or completely inattentive. Also, they have a great happy hour and trivia night in the bar!
