We had just purchased our first home, which needed a lot of TLC to say the least. We hired John to stabilize our foundation since the posts were pretty old, as well as create a concrete sidewalk around our house, so that when it rains, the water would slope away from the house, leaving our foundation dry. We thought we were all on the same page when it came to what we wanted, since he drafted up an invoice, detailing how much everything would be for what we wanted *sidenote* he is not responsive when it comes to e-mail, texts, or calls. John insisted he would be the one doing the work himself. Since my boyfriend and I work, we were not at the house during the day so we never knew who was really there. We went home on several occasions and John was never there doing the work. During the process I had to come home and point out that work he said was supposed to be done wasn’t being done as he said, such as the way the concrete design pour was supposed to be. He never completed his work and was supposed to do steps outside our back door but never was completed. He was so difficult to catch up with, we decided to do it ourselves. To the naked eye, everything looked ok when it was all said and done. That is to say since neither of us has a background in constriction or landscaping. He told us work was completed and even tried to have us take all the trash from the renovation to the dumps. We had to call him back as we climbed underneath the house and notice a few post weren’t done and more than a few were not screwed down. 2 – 3 months passed and that’s when we started noticing cracks in the walls, as big as ¼ of an inch. Cracks that started from the bottom of our trim to the top of the wall. Some cracks were so big that it shifted the house and we were unable to close our bathroom and hallway door. We ended up having to saw part of the door down, just so we could close the bathroom door. Not only were the cracks in the house a huge issue and concern of ours, but we also crawled underneath the house to check on the foundation once we had our first rain. Needless to say, there was a FATASS puddle where he poured the concrete by our driveway. We spent a whole Saturday draining out the water from underneath the house with a heavy duty vacuum cleaner. Come to find out, instead of sloping the new concrete away from the house, the concrete was sloped lopsided and towards the house in some areas. One of those areas ended up giving us a puddle of water underneath the house. We had called Jon back and he came over to the house to assess the problem. We had originally paid John roughly $ 8,000 for this job. He did not do anything to help us. In fact, we wanted to draft another invoice to charge us how much it would be to correct the problem, which his ‘employee’ created. Bottom line is this: DONOTUSETHISGUY. IF I COULDGIVEHIM A NEGATIVESTAR, I WOULD. STAYAWAYFROMTHISCOMPANY!!!

I recently contacted this business from a Craigslist Ad. The owner John called me back 2 days later and set up a date to inspect my bathroom remodel. He showed up on time and took his measurements, and stated that this job would not be a problem, and that he did have time to perform this task. He promised me an estimate via e-mail within 4 days. 7 days passed, no e-mail, so I emailed him. The next day I called and left a message, asking for a return call. I emailed and called one more time during the next week and never received a reply. In my opinion, this guy is a one man show that cannot deliver. He talks a good game, but is very unprofessional. I can imagine how it would be if he tore up my bathroom and stopped coming with no way to get ahold of him! Stay away from this business!!!
