After the new owners took over, the service and quality of work ran downhill quickly. I have been going to Purity Cleaners for 20 years, but no more. They got a chemical stain on a dress shirt and the owner tried to tell me it was my fault, I lied and she tried to call me and talk to me. All were false statements. The chemical stain was towards the bottom of the shirts where the shirt is tucked in. The stain was linear and also had drops moving up towards the collar. If I had caused the stain, wouldn’t the drops follow gravity and move down and not up? The owner paid for my shirt, but continued to implore me to tell the truth. What awesome customer service. I asked her how my shirts could defy gravity and all she could say was, «Huh?» I took two other shirts I found to another cleaner and the owner asked my how I managed to get chemical stains on the bottom of my shirt that were in a such a straight line. I gave him the short version. Purity Cleaners, never again. Poor customer service, no quality work and amazing stories made up while you wait.

Mostly writing this review so that there’s some balance in reviews. They are friendly(especially Kelly) and when they do repair/alterations they get it righ every time. We’ve only had one thing come back that was messed up but, with the hundreds of items we send there every year, it’s bound to happen no matter who you use. Definitely would recommend it.

OH no… our Tony is gone… he must have retired! Long about the first of the year I noticed my items were no longer perfect… not bad, but not up to the standard I had become accustomed to. Turns out new owners took over… well!!! I picked up my white jacket on Friday… and it was a bit DINGEY… arggggg! I really do not know what I will do… but they may have lost a customer who has been using them for many years!
