I have to amend this review. Here’s what I said before: «This track deserves more love than it gets. Clever design, good fairways and greens, player-friendly grounds crew, and lots of open play. Yes, greens are a bit slow compared to classier courses, but they’re consistent and interesting.» Since then, the former management went under and let the course go. New management wants to bring it back, but so far things are not going well, especially on the greens. Charging full prices for a course still under renovation seems a bad business decision – and more clearly a bad deal. If you want simple, cheap country golf, there are lots of better, cheaper alternatives in the area, for now. The lay-out still has outstanding potential, so I’ll be giving it another look next year. But given the wet and cool conditions this year, progress in restoring the greens is disappointing, especially given other bad signs of indifference like letting sand traps fill with weeds.
