I was accosted, frisked, detained and nearly arrested, and for no clear reason, from a call made by the staff. I’m also a handicapped person and a senior citizen on top of it all. And all of this was witnessed by an ever-crowding store. I’m now awaiting compensation, deservedly. You may think that you’ll have a nice, relaxing time here — - so did I. Daniel

Always prefer Peets to the other unnamed big chain and this location is one of the best. Always gets the order right and has a decent outside space if the weather is right.

Not the closest café but the service is good and Peet’s is reliable for coffee and snacks. Everyone is great, especially the guy there often in the morning. I can’t remember his name but he has a great seahorse tattoo. And I can almost always find a seat.

Poor service. Worker Daniel is sooo rude and manager Kelly Flynn could care less… For the price you pay, it’s not worth coming here.

I must admit, until a few years ago I wasn’t even a coffee drinker. Now I am and sometimes it is hard to stay away. Came into Peets today and I am a Starbucks person. I normally get the Java Chip at Starbucks and was looking at the board while at Peets looking for something similar. I didn’t see anything so I had asked. I am glad that I did. Christina took my order and then she even made my drink because she knew how to make it in her head since it was a special order. How awesome is Christina, she even wrote down the recipe so others can make it for me if she isn’t there. 5 stars for amazing customer service! I am big on customer service since they can make or break the visit and the willingness as a customer to even come back. I will be back for sure!

Wonderful location, staff and service! This is pretty close to my house and even though I frequent Starbucks, this is more of a hang out type of environment. Never too busy and very friendly staff. This is a fitting place to study or meet someone you met online, if you wish(lmao). I usually frequent the Starbucks because it has a drive thru and I’m lazy, and also for the rewards club. Otherwise I would come here and chill! Very neighborhood vibe.

It’s ok. Just like a replica of other well known coffee chain stores. $ 5 for a medium coffee and slice pumpkin bread. Other than that, wifi and friendly, prompt service.

Seems understaffed but the people who are here work hard, try, and are kind and wonderful. The drinks are most often delicious. Definitely recommend this location.

I love love love this location. The coffee is always on point, consistently good. My favorite is the maple latte(with soy milk) yumm. They have wifi, though it can be a bit slow depending on how many people you are sharing it with. Its a great place for light reading or even studying depending on the time of day. Perhaps what impresses me most about this place is the response I had to a concern expressed to management, Within MINUTES of my email, I received a phone call, apology, and a promise to address it(which was fulfilled). The next time I came in, I was greeted and thanked personally my the manager when she saw my name on the cup. Wow. The degree of professionalism is unmatched. I very much feel valued as a customer here and even though the commute is 20 minutes out of my way, will continue to come here for my morning java fix ! A++++

the staff at this location is wonderful. I do have to say, Alicia is the BEST!!! Great energy and a lot of knowledge. She has never steered me wrong with a drink recommendation. GREAT location.

The lady who rang me up was really sweet and very energetic. She was excited that I was trying one of their new holiday beverages inspired by the $ 1 off check-in offer and she appreciated that I came in on a rainy day.

Daniel is a barista at this location and he is «the man with a well calibrated espresso pull.» His lattes are the correct temperature and latte has meaning and depth. He works the morning shifts on the weekdays. Peet’s should clone him and dispatch his likeness to other Peet’s locations in the Bay(particularly in Willow Glen). In Pleasanton, the staff is very friendly and the location is the perfect place for a spiritual experience… I mean a cup of coffee at this Peet’s, created by Daniel.

I am not Peets person nor I can drink Peets coffee(too strong!) but I like to meet my friends at this location to chat or even schedule small group meetings. Staff is very friendly, atmosphere is simply great! Besides coffee they have good tea selection and, of course, pastry/sweets too! I see many people come here to read a book, magazine or work on their laptops while sipping their favorite beverage. Definitely a great place to do so, especially on a rainy day. Pets are welcome outside, and kids find themselves entertained with a box of toys available to play.

The espresso has been been pretty bad for a while now. Very ‘tangy’, ‘bright’, acidic-not how Peets espresso should taste. That’s not the fault of the employees here, Peets has become extremely inconsistent(still tastes the same way it’s been for the last decade in SF, but not in the East Bay.)

This is not a retail store. They will not honor Unilocal or corporate promotions. I’ve been to authorized stores where they will honor Unilocal and/or corporate promotions… customer service, enough said.

Peets is the top place for coffee in Pleasanton. If you are meeting with anyone, you always know you will get along if they suggest Peets ! Hailey makes the best coffee and will always take time to ask about your day. She is honestly interested and remembers previous conversations — you dont get the pre-programmed chat here that you get everywhere else. I have no idea how she does this when so many people pass through. This venue is always busy, but that is because the coffee is fantastic and the staff are nice. If you want quick, average coffee, you have dozens of places to choose from, but the regulars are happy to wait. I’m surprised that Gina, the manager, hasnt been head hunted to moved on to a bigger venue, she obviously runs a tight ship, has the respect of all the staff and make the atmosphere so great. There might be rioting if she ever tried to leave us ! Parking can be a bit tight, but the store is on a big lot and you can park at the far end(by the health food shop and dentist) and walk round by the road. This Peets is a happy, friendly place where you can hang out for an hour, chat and feel welcomed.

The store manager went above and beyond to get my guest situated with their favorite drink before I arrived. Thank you, Gina! The 4 star was actually for the gal at the front register who was very professional, but did not pick up on the fact I wanted to rush through the whole process of ordering and paying so I could begin my meeting.

Oh, as I learn the area, I find a Peet’s or two. It’s rare that I go anywhere else, although I have a few alternatives around the SF Bay Area. Heading toward the Central Valley, it seems that there is only one very big alternative, and I don’t care for their products. Thankfully, the White Chocolate Mocha is quite good and I appreciate that it is available across Peet’s stores, and some of those at Raley’s/Belair/Nob Hill. This store is close to the mall in a small shopping center that lacked a lot of parking. The shop was full and there was only one(20 minute) parking spot. I was between my meal and going to the mall, so it wasn’t a problem. The staff was friendly and while i waited, they kept busy, with a third person organizing the outdoor furniture for the night. There was a minor glitch with my drink, and I never would have known except that the drink maker explained it to me, and it wasn’t significant to the taste.

Parking will suck. park and walk. This is a coffee shop I’d sit and drink coffee at. Lots of tables. Indoor and outdoor seating. The coffee is VERYGOOD as always. They have friendly 3 cashiers in the morning, so the line is short time. No drive thru.
