Just a place where if you’re walking down Main St., and need a little something, cigs, etc., just to hold you over. Totally, a convenience, and a pricey one. If you can wait to get to a shopping center, you’ll always do better. Very small, so you can be in and out in a couple minutes. For convenience only! I wouldn’t be expecting any friendly chat from the clerk, but if you’re in need of that, go to one of the bars :) I’ve stopped in here for years, from time to time, cigs, half pint, newspaper, lotto ticket, quick n out. Don’t bother if you’re driving by, just keep going, as parking on the street can be tough.

What a miserable retail establishment. I stopped in to pick up a six-pack on the way to a friend’s house nearby and was surprised to find such a grim shop right on Pleasanton’s Main Street. FYI — I did not see any«deli» action going on — just a lousy liquor store that tacks on $.50 to credit card transactions. Yeah, you can have my $.50…it’s the last time I’ll ever stop in your bummer store. Hard to believe this place is in business at all. Poor.

You gotta be fucking kidding me. I heard that the old owner & Bill had sold this place a while back but never thought they could possibly slide so far into oblivion so fast. So remember all the good tequila’s, wine & craft beer selection they had there? GONE. Remember the great little Deli in the back? Thing of the past. Get ready for a «Security Guard» at the door, a bitch with a NASTY attitude behind the counter. Jacked up prices for everything in the store, and a crew of shady cohorts mingling about the place. I give these fucktards 6 months & they’re outta business.

I went here the other night to get my salami fix and let me tell you, this place doesn’t F around. Friendly service and a very clean and welcoming environment. I was helped out by a handsome young gentleman named Rane who not only was very helpful, but he seemed to genuinely care about my needs. I would highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back again!

So I just learned that they are under new ownership. How? Well I came here for breakfast, since I only had a half hour until my doctor’s appointment nearby. Just wanted to get something quick, and good. They offer breakfast sandwiches here(Boar Head deli meats) as well as other products. I noticed some authentic Italian food items in the front by their window. They also have tables to sit, and a coffee station. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese on ciabatta bread(you can choose bagel, or English muffin as well). Just wanted to FYI that this is all prepared in their microwave(one star off). I am not a huge fan, but I was rushing, so whatever. The woman that prepared my sandwich is Jill. She is extremely friendly, and overall kind, so I really felt bad to have to tell her about the mishap on my sandwich after I started eating it. The ketchup packets that she gave me were rancid, and I thought it had a weird color. When I took a bite, it was definitely sour, and I thought it was because of the gum I had beforehand… It was definitely the ketchup. I brought it to her attention, and she was very apologetic about the situation, and informed me that the store is now under new ownership, and that all the things left behind were from the previous owner. I did notice that the other woman at the register was super friendly too. She might have been the owner/manager, and engaged with the customers. The guy that was there before some days ago looked like he was bored to death with himself. I had to go at this point, so she told me that they owned me a sandwhich for my next visit. I just grabbed DejaBlue waters which were 2/$ 99 and I told her that I needed to go, and to call it even. Was not expecting to actually get sick from it during my doctor’s appointment. I called them back, and they agreed to refund me the $ 3, since I got the waters with no problems at all. Thank goodness for Pepto Bismol! She also informed that they threw out the entire box of ketchup packets to avoid another incident. Good to know! Overall, this was an unexpected mishap, so I would definitely come back to take them on their offer for another breakfast sandwich. They handled this situation with such professionalism that there is nothing wrong I could say about them. It wasn’t their fault in the first place that the past owners left things that way for them to work with. Other than that, if I lived in the area, I would definitely check out their Boar’s Head deli items. Icee machine is broken though, too bad for now until they get it fixed!

God forbid you go to a place like Cheers… You walk in the door and they say TONY!!! Yes i think it is special to be in a place where they know your name… ok corny shit over… I just like a place where i can buy the things everyone tells me is bad for me … tobacco, booze, ham and cheese, popcorn with extra salt(my fav) gambling(racing forms… if it’s your lucky a lil’ advice as well) and lottery… MY sappy finale… Since i’m from east oakland(gosh me in trouble for this) I like going to a store where the folks speak English. Whew now i’m scared … I just love a place that knows the difference between a blend, sourmash, irish and scotch.

I enjoy driving downtown to pick up a sixer. I usually go for the Brown Sugga’ nowadays, but their selection is good. Bill, the owner, is a cool person to talk to and tries to keep different beers on rotation. It’s a bit pricey, but why not spend you mula locally? They have a deli, but I’ve yet to try it. Check em’ out!!!

So sorry I have to pick even one star! Went in to this place today to buy a lotto ticket and Mr Grumpy pants walks up to the counter and says«which one and how many» I honestly don’t know how they stay in business??? Didn’t even acknowledge my coming in the place. Only one question for Mr Grumpy, why own anything related to serving the public???

I used to like this place a lot. The booze is pricier than, say, BevMo or even Safeway, but it was local, Bill is nice, and it was easy. But, I went in to buy a bottle of Plymouth Gin and it’s six dollars more than BevMo. Fine. Then the guy asks me if I’m using a credit card and I say yes and he tacks on another 85 cents. First of all, this is against their credit card contract. Second of all, it’s just irritating. I’m already paying significantly more, you can’t just eat it? Now I won’t be headed back. Oh well.

A nice convenience/deli. You go in. You have many options. The highlight here is not the food, it is the wares. This is your basic corner store with all the drinks, snacks, need-it-now foods, and more. The deli is okay, but nothing amazing. A refreshing sandwich with a Jone’s soda. It isn’t expensive, but if you want to eat– just go to New York Pizza. Sameish price, better food. However, do come here for your liquid substinence.
