Andrew Shotland has seen everything and done it all first(at least as far as SEO goes). He’s helped Louie the one-truck plumber, and he’s helped companies big and ugly enough to have their very own Occupy movements. I’ve been reading his blog, Local SEO Guide, since about 2009 — when Google was a little less evil and I was the SEO equivalent of a Webelos Scout. It’s one of the few blogs I still pay attention to. Go there for practical advice and a chuckle. I’ve also spoken alongside Andrew at a couple of conferences. He’s a friendly guy who lives and breathes search(and doesn’t mind paying for plane tickets to go speak about it). But unlike most other local-search geeks, he also knows his way around enterprise and national/organic search campaigns. Whether you’re a local business owner in the Pleasanton area or you’re part of a chain, I can’t think of a wiser guy to help straighten out your SEO than Andrew.
