Lavandu Face & Body

This place employs some wonderfully kind and caring people with the some of most amazing healing hands. I had surgery years ago on my right shoulder and had recently been having lots of headaches and trouble sleeping because the PAIN had become unbearable. Not to mention the crazy neck stiffness in the morning when I wake. While on vacation, I decided enough was enough and headed down to Lavandu for a deep tissue massage. When I went in I was a little nervous, I’d never been to a spa and was afraid of what the guys from work would think if they ever found out. For sure, I’d never hear the end of that… LOL. When I got there the ladies at the spa were very nice and made me feel welcome. Little did I know but I was in for one of the most relaxing times of my life. The massage was awesome, I mean AWESOME !!! This is so bad, but I can’t remember the masseuses name. Anyway she had the hands that BROUGHT the love and healing. The vibe at Lavandu was so peaceful and mellow, I actually fell asleep for a few minutes. I can not describe to you how good my shoulder and neck felt when my hour was up, words are useless. Heaven, yeah heaven, that’s what I’d call this place… and you know what, I can’t wait to go back to Lavandu (I mean heaven).

Beautiful relaxing experience, I had a massage and also a talent choice facial. They give a discount for talent choice services cause it gives people with less experience a chance to practice, but honestly I couldn’t even tell it was a new person giving my facial. The talent choice crew are clearly trained and give the same experience as you would someone of 10 years experience. They have a really great area where you can go before you go in for your treatment that has tea, snacks, and beautiful books to read thru. My favorite part were the positive cards they had in that room to look they and reflect on. It has convenient parking, caring staff, and I loved the experience I had. Definitely recommend them, I will be back!

This past weekend, after completing the Cinderella Century bike ride (67 mikes) 2 of my girls friends and I had made arrangements to get massages on Sunday, normally they are closed, but opened for us.
It was wonderful — my technician was great — she really worked out a few tight spots in my neck and back then did her magic in my legs.
While I don’t live locally, I will definitely be back.
They even let us hang out for about 45 minutes in the relation room after our treatments where we chatted and enjoyed snacks.
Overall — a great experience.

I have been back two other times, and I always have a wonderful experience. I don’t even live in town anymore, but I make a point to still come here for massages.

I had an amazing time at Lavandu. I booked a wax, massage, and facial and they were all great! I will definitely be back! The only thing I would change is that my massage room was really cold so every time she uncovered me I was freezing! But other than that it was a wonderful and relaxing experience.

It’s a nice place in a good location; but the people are not very friendly. We were 5 minutes late (and called 30 minutes prior advising traffic bad) and were treated rudely (big group coming in! you must be within 10 minutes).
The big group that came in 90 minutes later was 5 people, there was always at least 3 chairs open the entire time we were there… really?
No offer of water, wine… nothing…

I got a gift for massage and facial at Lavandu. At the beginning, I was hesitated to visit because I always think massage and facial should be done at a resort when on vacation. I feel strange to make an appointment on a regular weekend. I gave it a try and went there last Saturday morning. I really enjoyed it. The massage was the best I had ever experienced. This year I started more intense workout and the masseuse really pressed hard on my muscles and knew where to put extra pressures on. I was completely relaxed! I chose the basic facial and found out a few places on my face that I need to take care of. I enjoyed the facial massage as well. I will definitely suggest friends to visit.
I didn’t like the chocolate, because I’m not a fan of caramel. I also picked a tea flavor that was ok to me. But these are not the point anyway. I am a tea lover. Next time I go, I will be there 15 minutes earlier and make a cup of tea for my self first.

Once again, giving Lavandu a well-​deserved 5 stars!
I celebrated my birthday with 11 of my girlfriends and everyone at Lavandu made sure that we were pampered from the moment we stepped into the spa! They provided each of us with a robe and comfy slippers. They didn’t book anyone else while we were there, so we had full use of the spa just for us!
The Lobby
Relaxing and very inviting. The moment you step in, you can smell lavender… ahhh, very tranquil. We were greeted by the staff and they were very helpful with getting all our things into the Tranquility room.
The Tranquility (Relaxation) Room
The girls and I used the tranquility room to chat and relax while waiting for our treatments. There’s a large tv, which normally has relaxing visuals of beautiful streams and waterfalls. Pat let us use the tv to put on a movie or a show. I chose Friends (my favorite show of all time and great to watch with my girlfriends). The tranquility room has comfy seating and a couple of other chairs to relax in. They provided us with dried fruits, nuts, truffles, and fresh fruit, as well as water and hot tea. We also were able to bring in cheese and crackers, drink wine and sparkling cider.
At the end of our services, Lavandu gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate the event. Very nice touch!
The Treatments and Therapists
Each of the girls told me they loved their swedish massage and facials. The therapists for our group include: Merlita, Emily, Pam, and Julie. Pat the owner was on hand during the duration of our event. She and her staff are awesome! I had Julie for my facial and I highly recommend her! She asks questions to tailor your treatment and makes recommendations for what you should do at home. And she’s happy to answer any questions that you might have.
I can’t say enough good things about Lavandu. This is a hidden gem that you should visit. Pat is terrific to work with — she’s personable and really cares to give you the best service from her spa and staff.
