The service is terrible. The receptionist was rude when I called in on Monday to make an appointment. I called in today to contact the doctor but she was busy. The receptionist Nicole said she would pass on my message to the doctor and that the doctor would return my call soon. The doctor still hasnt returned my call and the clinic closes at 5pm(i am writing this at 6pm) so I am guessing Nicole didnt tell the doctor. If she did tell a nurse or the doctor, then the nurse or doctor didn’t care. John Muir should set up an email for their patients to contact their doctor(s).

I took my daughter to see Dr. Lauren Nelson for the first time. She was incredibly considerate towards my tot who in the past has been skittish around doctors. Dr. Nelson took the time to ask questions relevant to the issues my daughter was experiencing, and really listened. She was so sweet to my daughter when she started to squirm away from the stethoscope as she tried to listen to her heart, and pulled out a Doc Mcstuffins toy for her to play with(which calmed her right down!) so she could do the rest of the physical with no problems. When my daughter had to return the same day, due to having an «episode» on the way home from the hospital, Dr. Nelson and her staff were incredibly sensitive and considerate towards this over emotional first time mama and even called me for a follow-up conversation as I made my way home from her office to check to make sure everything was okay. I would highly recommend this office, and especially Dr. Lauren Nelson, to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and considerate pediatric doctor or nursing staff.
