The work is finally completed after 4 months. The work itself came out nice and quality of the syn-​turf emerald 80 turf and thick edging he uses is excellent. We are happy with how it turned out.
Dan was extremely backed up and our 1 week job turned into 4 months. It took constant texting everyday to ask when he was coming and many times say he would be here and weeks would pass. He did complete the work and it was done good when finished. A seam is appearing the length of the turf but it is very slight.

Avoid this company at all costs, I wish I would’ve checked Unilocal before hiring them. As previously reviewed they take your money & don’t come back, leaving you high and dry with a partially finished job. In our case we’re out $ 5,000 «to buy materials» 2 months ago and Dan Garza isn’t even returning our calls and texts anymore… he just took our money and ran! To make matters worse, his license is suspended because of previous incidents and he uses undocumented day labor with no workers comp. coverage. We have reported him to the Contractors State License Board and have filed suit to recover our losses but meanwhile our house is half finished and looks horrible. PLEASE save yourself a lot of grief & check his license for yourself with the CSLB, license number 892 157. Unfortunately, the workmanship is shaky as well, the seams in our artificial turf are separating and are very visible. His cheap day labor just doesn’t have the talent to do things correctly. All in all this has been a terrible experience.

Dan did a great job… My turf looks amazing and am looking forward to the water savings so I can keep my pool topped off this summer.

Avoid this company. Dan took $ 2,500 deposit (50%) up front then «forgot» to show up on contracted start date, spotty work, then just abandoned job entirely. No usable work completed. No contact. Contractor’s license was revoked over three years ago, but he gave us a business card with license number, representing himself as licensed. Very engaging personality at interview, don’t be fooled. Wish I had checked Unilocal before hiring anyone.

Dan and his team did a great job on our front and backyard artificial turf install. Dan worked with me to find ways to save cost and we were very happy with the results. I would recommend him to others.

Dan and his team did a fantastic job installing artificial turn at our San Francisco home. As with most SF properties there are no side yards so all the material and turf had to be moved through the house. They were extremely careful to not make a mess and cleaned up after they were done. Dan and his workers were professional and the turf looks terrific.
I agree with the other reviews that Dan is hard to get a hold of, but he did return my calls and texts. It took a while to schedule the work but it WAS WORTH IT. His pricing was by far the best of all the other major installers. In fact, some of the major installers bid the same job at 3Xs the price. So you can imagine he is very busy. I would rather put up with a little delay to get the job done right at a reasonable price.
That being said I recommend Dan and look forward to working with him on other projects.

I had a horrible experience with Dan. It was exactly how Marian V described. He disappeared after signing up the contract with me and collected a $ 2,500 deposit check early March 2015. He never shows up even though he promised of doing so. He rarely responds to email, voicemail, and text. After unable to get hold of him for weeks I decided to end the deal and asked for my deposit back. I received zero response from him. I have tried everything and tried really hard to stay courteous with him.

BUYER BEWARE!!! If I could give Dan zero stars I would. Dan took our money and repeatedly failed to show up when he said he would. He does not return phone calls or texts. He says he will meet you and then does not show up. We signed a contract with him in October and six months later he has not finished his job. In addition, he contracted to install grass in my fathers house. He took his money too in November. It’s now April and the grass is still not installed. He does not return my Dad’s phone calls or mine. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Dan Garza installed artificial turf in our back yard in Pleasanton. It was a fairly large area. We absolutely love it and the dogs love it too. Dan was extremely easy to work with. He was reasonably priced and always showed up at the exact time he said he would be there (that is very important to me). His guys were efficient and pleasant as well. All in all I would highly recommend Dan and his team, in fact I have already sent him a couple of referrals.
