Jamie Blair does beautiful hair, is so sweet and has even fit me into her busy schedule quickly for a hair «emergency». She is especially great at color and my highlights never look harsh — always beautiful.

Melanie is awesome. She takes the time with each person to give you the cut/​style best for you. We were very pleased. Will continue to go back.

Had a great experience getting my hair cut by Melanie yesterday. She cut it exactly the way I liked it and I spent the rest of the day fielding compliments from friends on my new haircut. As a guy who usually just goes in to his local Great Clips, this was a huge change for me! Definitely going back for the awesome job Melanie did, as well as the friendly atmosphere. ¹¹⁄₁₀!

Decided to try this salon after getting a Unilocal deal and loved it. The salon is located on the 2^nd floor of a building in old town Pleasanton, it’s private which is great. For my first visit, Melanie gave me some lovely brown and caramel highlights (I’ll be posting these pics), on my 2^nd visit I decided I want to go Beyonce blonde which I still love, but have yet to get a pic and post. I’ll def be back for highlights and maybe even a trim. She’s very sweet and is a total customer pleaser which is very much appreciated.

I’ve reviewed Melanie once already, but thought I’d update since she’s worked on me, too. She did a great job on my daughter this summer, but I was over-​due for a cut, so in I went. She did a great job and I’ve gotten tons of compliments! She really listened to me and made sure she understood what I wanted. Melanie did a great job giving me just what I asked for (a feat not too many stylists have conquered the first time cutting my thick, wavy, oddly-​behaving hair). She’s wonderful and I’ll definitely be back!

I came here earlier in the week for Unilocal’s Hot for the Holidays Event Series (Tame Your Mane Night) and absolutely loved my experience!
First of all, the salon is located on the second floor, so don’t be discouraged if you can’t find it at first. The salon itself is small and cute. The small environment makes it that much more charming.
Melanie was great! She answered a lot of questions and was very informative about the products she uses for certain hair types and hair styles. She also told us about the benefits of a Brazilian blow out, which is something I’d like to try in the future.
Melanie is easy-​going and personable, and you can really tell that she wants to work with you and style your hair to your wants and needs. I’ll have to schedule an appointment with her soon!

I’m relatively new to the Eastbay and have been searching for a good hairstylist. I am so delighted to have discovered Melanie. She is a creative genius with color. And she really listened to understand exactly what I wanted with my new style. She’s a delight and I highly recommend her for color, style and professionalism.

Went to a Unilocal «Hot for the Holidays» event here last night. Melanie showed us some awesome techniques on how to curl hair and style an up-​do. Looked so easy. I’m super excited to try the different styles on my daughter. I told my almost 5 yr old about the mermaid curls and she’s excited for me to do them on her. Thanks Melanie & Unilocal for giving me the opportunity to attend.

Love Melanie. Love the salon. She did an awesome job with my hair, both with the color and cut. It’s been a long time since I’ve been really happy with my hair style. She’s def got a gift. Sent some friends to her and they had the same experience. Really cute inside too. Bright and happy! I recommend Chelsea Rae Salon. You won’t be disappointed. Trust me, I’m super picky.

This girl! Melanie did a fantastic job. Her salon is hip, clean, and cool. She is the same except add inviting and awesome to that list. She gives great cuts and color and she LISTENS! That’s a big one for me since I’ve had some pretty terrible hair traumas. She is so friendly and talented!
