CLOSE– Handicap accessible 4out5 since we never used the restroom… I can’t report on it. Sadly the restaurant has close… i have no idea why but it was pretty tasty food. Shame it didn’t last.

Came here for a lunch break after looking at apartments to live at all day and I wish I wouldn’t have came here. The service was just okay they weren’t friendly and I hated the food! I could have made it better at home. It has a very odd taste. Disappointed.

So my hubby, mom and I dropped in before going into see Hunger Games last weekend. For dinner its full service, but i didnt think full service = slow service! I had told our waitress that we were in a rush, but everyone seemd to take their time. Portions were healthy and the hot and sour soup I ordered was great. The chinese chicken salad, underseasoned — my mom threw a ton of soy sauce on it to add flavor. My hubby got the sweet and sour chicken which he enjoyed but then again he enjoys anything with meat and rice. All in all, i would probably go to another place…

Always clean and big variety of healthy dishes. Prices are medium to high but portions are great. They have a lunch special for $ 10 in which I had to take extra food in to go box. In closing, if you are on the go, you can have a great meal for around $ 13 and be in and out in less than 30 minutes.

It had been years since I visited this place. I came in yesterday for takeout and they were quick. I was happy with the order of Schezuan Beef, Noodles and Pot Stickers. It was about 13 bucks, kinda high, but a nice change of pace. I’ll be back!

Small portions for Chinese food, but great flavor. Enjoyed lo mein with chicken, Malaysian chicken, pad thai and lettuce wrap with chicken. Saw Martin Yan debone a chicken– so much energy and enthusiasm! Good food, wish portions were larger for the price.

Nice establishment, friendly, attentive staff — the food was even good! My family highly recommends the Malaysian Chicken(I want the recipe for the Mango Cucumber Salsa!!) Sizzling Schezuan beef and the Curry Tofu veggies! You don’t have to stick with your standard white steamed rice you get at most Asian inspired eateries either, Yan Can hook you up with brown rice all have to do is ask!

I’ve eaten here twice, I think the menu is a bit overpriced but both time the food was good and the service was great. This is an Asian Bistro it’s not your typical Asian/Chinese food. Service great, food good and it’s clean.

I don’t know why I have gone here more than once, but, I won’t go back again. The next time I consider it, I’ll just re-read this review. The first time I ever went here(4 – 5 years ago) my friend and I both got violently ill. The second time, maybe a year ago, a friend and I went here for lunch as I had a certificate to use. and we though why not, cheap lunch, right? Wrong, we were told they didn’t accept them anymore and they should have sent an email. Oh well, we ate there anyway and it was OK. Third time, the boy and I went here recently and the food was just so lacking. I had a special that was I think firecracker chicken, or something similarly named, and it was boiled chicken in tomato sauce. Notice I say nothing about fire Or crackers. Won’t be back. Wondering how it’s still in business in awesome little downtown PH.

WHATHAPPENEDTOTHISPLACE? I used to come here and have really good food, enjoyed the chic décor, clean dining area, and the staff was attentive. I went recently and the food wasn’t very good, and later I was on the can numerous times because of it. SERIOUSLY, 4TIMESONTHESHITTERFROMTHISPLACE. I had the Chicken Pad Thai. I’ve almost always gotten this here and been satisfied. The last time I had it, it wasn’t good. First, it looked like cafeteria food – just noodles slopped on a plate with way too much sauce covering the whole thing. To top it off, the tofu that was mixed in with the chicken was old/hard and tasted like plastic. GROSS. The décor went from chic to cheap. It looks like the owners changed, because now it is slowly turning into a hokey Chinese fast food joint. The dining area is looking old and although I saw staff cleaning, it didn’t feel all that clean. The prices were reasonable, and you get a lot of food, but the food just isn’t good, so it really doesn’t matter. The staff was kind and attentive, so no problems there. The poor rating is all for the bad food. Yan, I hope you come down here and get this place together! It’s in a prime area by a movie theater, so it could be a cash cow if you step it up.

I used to love this little quick in out Chinese food. Now that it’s full service, very disappointing. Did it change owners? Seems so– thumbs down. Food seemed old and not fresh. The chicken I brought home for my boys was equally uneventful~

If I can give minus star, I would do so. The most important thing to me for any restaurants is food. Service doesn’t have to be perfect as long as the foods are the real deal but this place is absolutely shocking. Before I stepped in, I actually didn’t expect their food to be any authentic but I have never thought they can be this suck. Foods taste horrible to point even bland can be considered delicious compare to this place’s foods. I WILLNEVEREVERVISITTHISPLACEAGAIN!

Customer service alone gets 5 stars. The waitresses took care of finding out if the food had real shrimp and/or crab to make sure my girlfriend didn’t get an allergic reaction. They also noticed my Coke looking a little light in color and asked if it tasted right. It was a little too carbonated for my taste and they promptly changed the tanks and brought me a fresh glass. We had the sweet & sour chicken, beef & broccoli, and veggie fried rice; none of which had the salty MSG’y taste that most asian restaurants have. The food tasted fresh and delish. The portion sizes were pretty small, but the fried rice portion was huge. This place has made the«take-out menu binder».

Curries, pad Thai, teriyaki chicken… where to decide. This place was good, not your typical«Chinese» food. It always smells good when I walk by, so one day we actually tried it. You order first people taking a seat. So be prepared to browse the menu. Location is great, easy to pop in before a movie or before some shopping.

If food doesn’t matter, you have no taste buds, you evacuate your bowls with little or no digestive needs — then this is the perfect place for you to waste your money. It’s the worst fast food I ever had the pleasure of pushing the dish away with. Good thing they get you to pay before you are served. Take my advice: STAYAWAY! It’s crap spelled entirely with a capital ICK! Yan can’t cook!

First off lower your expectations. This is not the high quality Asian cuisine you’ve come to expect from Martin Yan’s recipes, this is closer to Panda Express with a twist. I ordered the Singapore firecracker and thought it was decent at first, however in time I noticed the distinct lack of any form of spiciness. It was good and sweet but nowhere near the«two chili pepper spicy rating.» Secondly, I noticed the rice had a strong tendency to fall apart and had nowhere near the consistency of normal Asian rice. My girlfriend(whose Asian) actually gave up on using chopsticks«since the food didn’t seem to be made for it anyways.» That’s probably why it doesn’t taste so great either… My girlfriend’s meal was some decent tasting sweet and sour pork mixed with… mint. Ok we all love tasty pineapple in sweet and sour pork but mint is something else entirely. Awkward to say the least. Overall the food is cheap and it’s better than panda express(costs a tad extra as a result). It’s a third what P.F. Chang’s is(tastes better too) but it’s still nowhere near the quality of your local family-run Chinese restaurant.

I think this place is actually pretty good. Maybe it’s because I don’t really care for traditional Chinese food. This place is actually alright. I typically order the Sizlling Sichuan tofu with brown rice. I like that it’s not greasy and it actually is very flavorful-unlike typical tofu veggie dishes at other Chinese places. Yes, this is not authentic Chinese. But it is fresh and the veggies seem crisp and of good quality. The lady at the register, who is always there, whenever I go, is very friendly and always very nice. I mean it’s not the best meal in the whole entire world, but if you want something relatively healthy and aren’t expecting«authentic Chinese» then this is the place to go.

I like how Claudia O. and I disect the venue, service and food whenever we go and think of things to write on Unilocal lately. Aaron C. says that I’m «outta control» but Claudia O. «can see how Unilocal can be addicting yet soothing.» Now, on to the food review… We ordered the following — Say Cheese! Wontons, Veggie Spring Rolls, Korean BBQ Beef(with white rice), and Orange Chicken(with brown rice). Appetizers — I prefer the wontons over the spring rolls. The rolls were nothing special but the wontons was pretty good. It wasn’t to «crabby» nor«cream-cheesy.» Entrée — The rice to meat ratio was 3 to 1. There was so much rice(which wasn’t that great) on our entrees, that we were already stuffed halfway through our meal. Both our entrees were suppose to be «little spicy» but we had different spice levels. My orange chicken wasn’t spicy at all, while Claudia O.‘s korean bbq was so spicy, it gave her heartburn AS she was eating it. She couldn’t even finish it. My orange chicken wasn’t all the great either; it was very tangy. I was thinking to myself that I’d rather get the orange chicken from Panda Express. Perk — Claudia O. says, «unlimited fortune cookies so you can get the fortune you want.» LOL. But be cautious, some of their cookies an taste bland. We took advantage of the fortune cookies(because who doesn’t like fortune cookies?), and after I ate 4 cookies, the results were(respectively): good, bland, bland, then mediore. And I still did NOT get the fortune I wanted! The Verdict: (1) They boast about how it’s «fresh asian cuisine for a short wait.» I find it ironic though that how can something be «fresh» be so «fast»?(2) We wouldn’t go out of our way to come to this place. (3) Expensive for the little portion we got. (4) Although they have a variety of asian dishes(Thai, Korean, Chinese and Vietnamese), it’s not that special nor spectacular. (5)This place reminded me a cross between Pick-Up-Stix and Panda Express. If both places got married and had a child, it might be this place… that is, if the child was ugly.

Food = okay. Quite americanized. It’s not bad, just not really my thing. Sweet and sour pork? Fried rice? Hmmm… not really chinese. Prices = a bit excessive for ‘fast-food’ Portions = decent, but the quality and seasoning is not there. Ambiance = bright, clean, and simple. Although, I feel like I am in a public school cafeteria…
