This review is LONG overdue, as we stopped going there a year ago. We had been faithful customers for several years, in spite of the occasional spots that wouldn’t come out or clothes not ready. But they always knew us by sight, didn’t have to look anything up to find our clothes — and they were close. So my husband had brought in his usual load of clothes — plus a few more — so 8 shirts and 4 pairs of pants to be dry cleaned. I went to pick them up and they only gave me 5 shirts and the pants. They told me that the remaining shirts had been misplaced. I told them it was no big deal, we’d come back for them and left. When my husband went back for the remaining shirts, the man was there(it was the woman who told me the shirts had been misplaced). He told my husband that he didn’t know what he was talking about — there were no other shirts. My husband told him that the woman had told me that they had been misplaced and the man told him that I had misunderstood! Uh, no! Unfortunately, we didn’t have the ticket for the clothes, so I couldn’t prove it. But that was the last time we went there and I can’t recommend them.

I have been coming here off and on for several years but I’m done now with their latest price increase. Why on earth does it cost $ 7.50 to dry clean 1 dress shirt? Even laundering a dress shirt cost $ 3.50. This is ridiculously expensive and the quality of the cleaning is not as good as it used to be so I’m on the search again for a good dry cleaner. Also the nail in the coffin was that for 4 dress shirts to get cleaned the turn around time was 5 business days

Love this place. Always affordable and clothes have never had any issues. I did think it was weird that they wrote on the shirt at the bottom so they can identify it, but I’ve gotten used to it. Plus it is close to 7 – 11!

Grace Cleaners and I started out on good terms. I live really close and can walk here, which is a plus. They have always done a good job on my dresses and tops, this is also a plus. They charge fair prices, another plus. And they take my humongous comforter– plus. Then I brought in about 10 of husband’s work shirts to get cleaned and they messed up on three of them. One shirt they pressed and it ended up with lint(which they say is part of the shirt) showing through the fabric. Another shirt they pressed without taking out the collar stays and now it has collar stay prints on it. And on the last shirt, a white one, they printed my name in permanent marker on the outside of the shirt, toward the bottom. I will probably still take my stuff here because the owners are very nice and get things done fast. I know I will not take husband’s shirts here again, that is for sure.

I hate to give this type of rating. I truly do. My wife and I have been customers of this dry cleaning establishment for at least 15 years. But enough is enough! They’ve ruined at least 3 quite expensive shirts in the past 4 years. The latest being a linen Zelga shirt that cost $ 450.00 new, 1 ½ years ago. Their solution? They offered me a $ 100.00 store credit. I had asked for $ 200.00 cash — which I thought very fair. I didn’t argue with them. Pointless. I’ve taken my business elsewhere. I won’t spend my time taking nickle and dime dry cleaners to small claims court. They can have their«win». I simply will take our business elsewhere and in this case, they’ve lost about $ 330.00 per month in dry cleaning business See ya!

I ripped a fastener on my suit pants and these guys fixed it without even asking! I’ll probably blow it out again since I’m 30 lbs heavier since when I bought the suit, but the folks at Grace are friendly, efficient, and do great work.

Predicament… your running errands and the button on your new 7 Jeans busts off and falls to the floor. Solution…The folks at Grace Cleaners dropped everything and stitched it for me on the spot. She initially wasn’t going to charge, but I insisted and she ended up charging me $ 2. Crazy, old fashioned service in the East Bay!
