Everyone in this store is amazing and very fashionable. I have yet to find a reason to complain about anyone on this staff. Bradley Jessica Tori Ricky and Chasen are the cream of the crop, and have the best customer service. The owners hired smart!

Although I love this store and the styles I would not recommend shopping here. They charged me for my purchase twice($ 163.00 in late June of 2015). Here it is almost September and I still have not received my money back. I have been promised week after week… it was an obvious error on their part and a dual charge. In spite of the conversations, I have yet to have MYMONEY! When you try to find a corporate office, good luck. There is not one on file. Too bad because I love their clothes.

This store is awesome! The price points are broad– from $ 25 up to $ 200. I bought some very good quality basic pieces– a black v neck and a long sleeve blousy black top and spent under $ 55 for both. I’m a 14⁄16 and I felt that they had as many options for my size as most shops do. The sales woman was great, friendly, helpful and really seemed to like her job– which is rare this day and age. I did not feel pressured to purchase and both of the employees really seemed to love what they sell and were also very knowledgeable. I’ll be back!

This store has a great selection for every shopper. There are mature styles as well as trendy statement pieces. I find something I love every time I go — and not just for me, but for my mom, my dad and my teenage sister(which is impressive because we are all very different). The store is clean, organized and nicely decorated. Occasionally the selection is heavy on dresses and jeans for women(and lacking in tops) but everything is always great quality. The staff could do a better job of making recommendations without hovering, but everyone is very polite. The owners are great at making appearances in the shop and are very friendly. This is definitely my new go-to clothing store.

Very nice store, I hope they do well. Bought hubby a very nice shirt and the two sales guys were extremely helpful. High quality fabrics and nice detailing in the clothing. Store itself is very hip and very nice inside. Nice addition to DTPH.

What a beautiful and affordable store for Pleasant Hill to enjoy! Some of the price points are higher, but for the quality and fabric of those pieces, it’s not much different from the smaller lines carried at Nordstrom. I have been twice and had great experiences both times. The items I purchased were between $ 25 and $ 38. I really wanted a maxi dress they have, but they’ve been out of my size both visits. Their clothing reminds me of the boutiques in Orange County — which I very much miss, because everything was always so unique. I’m afraid to say I may become addicted to this lovely little store right in the middle of Crescent Plaza. The only unfortunate part is that they’re only open until 8 pm. Regardless, bravo Downtown Pleasant Hill! Atlas and Athena is a keeper! :)

The motivation for opening a relatively high end clothing store in THIS shopping center is puzzling to me. Granted, Styles for Less has thrived here for several years but I think the key to their success is they offer very reasonable prices and are aimed at the younger demo likely to do dinner and a movie on a Friday night as a date or with friends. Atlas & Athena has a much more posh vibe, suited to Walnut Creek or Danville, and price points to match. A sleek gray jacket caught my eye, very well made, quality fabric — and was $ 109. Moving on. Out of curiosity I checked the price of a nearby blue cardigan, a much simpler clothing item, and it was $ 190. Pleasant Hill, not Beverly Hills. In the plus column, the store is cozy but spacious, well-made trendy seasonal items, with well-organized displays and racks. Inventory is limited though, and for a sweet size 16 like me, I was left out in the cold. Another shop on the list to pop into for perhaps jewelry or a candle, but even those are likely to not necessarily be my style or an agreeable price point. Employees were friendly and approachable if a little aloof, but they helped other customers and maintained a very tidy and pretty shop. It’ll be interesting to see how this shop fares — previous reviewer mentioned they are hoping to turn Crescent Plaza into a shopping destination. I don’t foresee that going well. This is a lowkey neighborhood, for people grabbing lunch and a movie, or picking up basics at the nearby grocery store or Bed Bath & Beyond. The goal of turning this center into a hive for ladies who lunch will drive the current family middle income demographic out, which is pointless as Walnut Creek is two exits down 680. While I of course wish a local business success, I don’t think in the long run they will get it. Time will tell.

The male Atlas finally has his female Athena! The very first A&A store to be found anywhere, it’s the anchor retail space found under the clock tower for Crescent Plaza. Atlas, i.e. men’s apparel, accessories, and items are front and center when you walk in the door. Athena, i.e. women’s apparel, accessories, and items are to the right of the entrance. The clothing is hip and cool, and the fabrics and high quality. The jeans are lux and the tops are cozy and feel good to the touch. It’s a larger space than the Atlas location in Walnut Creek, so they’re able to carry a lot of styles for both men and women! Speaking of styles, their displays are set up by trend and not by vendor, so you can quickly put together a casual, trendy, or sophisticated outfit. They are the *only* place that carries the G-Star brand for BOTH men AND women outside of G-Star retail locations. Other vendors in their collection include the Canadian labels Dex and Tulle. In addition, they carry the Groceries label, created by a local from Pleasant Hill :) Their target market is from 25 y.o. — 50 y.o., but the owner said that he hopes that younger and older clients will find their clothing accessible as well. *Note: The clock tower will be getting a makeover, as well as the doors to the store, and ultimately the entire plaza to make it more of a shopping destination, so watch for changes to come! *Tip: You can find out about their in-store wine tasting events with Do-Good Wines on their Facebook page :)
