We made our first visit after driving past many times. We all wish we had stopped by sooner. The service was friendly and the atmosphere is unique. They have something for everyone in our family to enjoy, which isn’t easy. French fries are great and the Utah burger is very tasty! We will be back soon!

I can’t list all of the amazing things at Chubby’s. Just throw a dart at the menu. Last time I went they told me the burger is ground in-house now, so I got a burger and you could tell. It was delicious! Scones, burgers, sandwiches, salads – all amazing. It does get crowded but they are pretty quick. Love it and miss it now that I’m in Arkansas. Every time I’m visiting I try to make it there. I love the new location, not dumpy like the last. Food is as excellent as it was the first time I went 5 years ago.

I’ll start by saying that I could give Chubbies 6 stars if I could! I’ve been there only twice, but it’s only because I have just discovered it. The burgers are seasoned really well, which I’m coming to find is not a common thing, and they have great burger buns! They load up your Burger pretty good, so it can be kinda messy. Not a bad thing. The beer battered fries are just as good as everyone says they are. Fanfreakintastic! The regular fries are good too, as are the scones. Good stuff. Our new favorite burger place! I’m telling everyone about it. I’ve been told that they are looking to open one in Provo, and I hope that’s the case. It can’t come soon enough!

Best burger in Utah County. Period. The buns are so soft and cradle the delicious burgers perfectly. I had the bacon ranch and my friend had the pastrami. He literally started doing a happy dance after his first bite. I will definitely make this my go-to for my burger cravings… which are frequent. I can’t wait to try more of the menu!

My colleague told me I had to try this place. Said we had to get there by 11:30 to avoid the lunch lines. He pulls into a Ace Hardware parking lot. There’s a defunct One Man Band Diner to the east but that’s all I see. He tells me he has to make a stop for something from the hardware store. I’m annoyed because it was 11:50 and he gave me all this hype about the long lines. Then I noticed that Chubby’s is on the south end of the Ace Hardware building. Duh! These are great burgers. They’re not Lucky 13 great but they’re close. Fresh ground beef that’s very flavorful. Crispy beer battered fries. The bun is big, soft and adds much to the overall flavor. It’s like a yellowish potato roll. I went with a bleu cheese bacon burger, he had a mushroom burger as he’d had my burger the last time he was in. I explained umami and how mushrooms enhance meat and how umami is our fifth taste and what savory means, yada, yada Worcestershire, something something fermented fish sauce. I lost him when I started talking about Garum and how amphora were designed to nestle snuggled in the hulls of ancient Greek ships. But I digress. They use a quality thick-sliced bacon and the portion was okay. The bleu cheese was of the dressing variety making the sandwich a bit of a mess to eat. No big deal but I’d prefer crumbles over dressing. The fry sauce is good but they do something with it that I can’t quite put my finger on. Some places have a Russian dressing angle, others add a splash of pickle juice. I don’t know what’s going on here with their version but it’s not my favorite. Vinegar? They’re having a crawfish boil coming up. You get all the usual Southern sides and a half pound for $ 7-ish and a full pound for $ 9-ish or something. I don’t like to eat bugs, land or water variety. I added a Moon Pie just because. Then I remembered why I don’t buy them more often. Not quite sure about the Southern theme. Perhaps an homage to the owner’s roots? Half way through I looked back from the booth I was sitting in and could only see one customer at the register. I ribbed my partner about the«long lines.» He rises up from where he’s sitting across from me and says it looks like there’s a line to him. Sure enough, at least a half dozen people backed up to the door. I clearly have trouble noticing the obvious. Great place. The menu screens must be the inspiration for JCW’s. This place is a step up from them. I’ll be back.

I have a hard time finding good burger places. So when I was looking through reviews and happen to see this place having awesome reviews I had to check it out. Would I say this is a 5 star burger joint, NO! I’m rating this place a 3.5 but rounding up to 4. There’s too many things that weren’t exactly to my liking but a lot of things that were. I’ll start with all the good things. First off it’s awesome atmosphere, kinda has that southern country feel. Lots of seating and you have choice of a booth or table. Menu is bright and readable and lots of choices from burgers, chicken, sandwiches, and salads. Lots of different choices for sides also. I ordered Bacon Guacamole Burger with Beer Battered Fries, side of Mac and Cheese and Banana Pudding Shake. My husband got Cheesesteak Burger and Hush Puppies and Banana Pudding Shake. My burger was great! Loved all the toppings and had good flavor. I also really like the buns they put on the burgers. My shake also amazing, love the wipe crème on top great banana flavor with vanilla wafers. Yum! My husbands burger was also yummy and the hush puppies were AMAZING! Seriously those were my favorite thing about both our meals. Now the bads, though are burgers were good they came out just barley warm. Almost like they had been sitting for while back there. I like my burger hot! Same with my fries my fries came out cold like they had been sitting which is disappointing. The most disappointing thing of all was my Mac and Cheese. Expecting cheesy, hot Mac and cheese probably should have been re thought out on my part because it was not hot at all, again like it’s been sitting out for little while. To get a additional side is expensive. Getting Mac and cheese was $ 3.50 and it’s a tiny cup and like I said it was not satisfied with it. My husband said he had ice pieces in his shake making it hard for him to enjoy his shake as much as I did. I find it funny that they charge you extra for ranch. I mean it’s already at pretty high price point for everything then to charge for ranch I found it silly. My conclusion of this place is it’s Good, not amazing. If I’m craving a burger or shake I’ll come because I like it much better then JCWS and it’s much more filling then Smash Burger.

I’m a sucker for these small town burger places, and Chubby’s almost fits that bill. It’s not quite a small town, side of the road burger stand, but it’s got enough of that charm that I’m intrigued and definitely wanted to try a little more of the menu. I actually really really enjoyed the shake, and that’s the main reason I came in. They have a lot of burgers, and if you’re looking for the Utah scone(outsiders, think: frybread) with some serious honey butter. In that sense, it doesn’t get any more small-town Utah burger joint. But the place is a little more polished up than all that. It’s still a little hard to find – we drove past it one – as it’s in a little strip mall on the west side of the road. You order in line and they bring it out to you. The shake, of course, was my go-to chocolate banana and it was nice and thick with a good amount of small banana chunks in there. Although a little spendy for the size, it wasn’t exorbitant. I tried fries, and they were good, and of course that scone. I also heard tell of a food challenge, but the place was packed and when I didn’t see it on the menu, I didn’t want to bother anyone there who was already busy, in search of the details. But that’s worth investigating. Also, they have some advertising up for a crawfish boil. All you can eat, perhaps? Seems strange for a burger joint, but I could get into it if it’s true.

Scones, better battered fries, and shakes… sign me up! The Utah scone was everything I had imagined with that buttery honey. It was very airy and almost tasted like a zeppole. I was accustomed to having these back at fairs back east. In any case, the scones are good. If you are in the mood for more sweets, don’t pass up on a shake. Their banana cream pie was pretty delicious. Although when I get back here, I most certainly will try one of their burgers(which would pair well with their beer battered fries).

Great American food. Guacamole Bacon Burger & Jalapeño Ranch Burger are my favorites. Side of beer battered fries. Finish it off with some scones and you got yourself a double chin and spare tire. #Merica

Beer-battered fries are still the bomb. So good. We love Tom and the crew there. They always welcome us. This time I tried one of the chicken burgers. It was really good for sure, but it didn’t satisfy my craving for a burger. I’ll stick with the Mushroom Swiss. The food is so good no matter what though. It’s by far the best burger joint in Utah County in my opinion! It’s our favorite place to go. :)

First time eating here. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could, but not an option so I rounded up. We took the kids and they got kids meals with hamburgers, fries and a drink for $ 4.29. Really big portions. My wife got the BBQ burger which she absolutely loved. She also got the beer battered fries(which I really liked, but she would’ve preferred the regular fries). I just got the regular burger which was fantastic. I got the scones as my side option and they were delicious. The family said they all wanted to come back.

Went for lunch with a large group &wanted to leave when we saw a line out the door but I’m so glad we stayed! The long line was serviced quickly & everything here was amazing! Got the bacon mushroom swiss burger & beer battered fries. Shared hush puppies & scones. Delicious, could not stop eating! Good prices, huge burgers, bottomless fountain drinks, great service despite a big lunch crowd.

Gross food. Typical Utah county let down. Don’t claim to be southern or Louisiana if you can deliver. What are you a bunch of Mormon missionaries that visited the south and decided it was a good idea to open a southern restaurant? You might be able to pull the wool over all these Utah county clowns but not this good ol’ boy!

This place is delicious. I’m a big fan of the spicy buffalo chicken sandwich. It’s a ton of food and they have many great options for the sides. The location is kind of weird — it’s right next to an Ace Hardware nested in the corner. The staff is always friendly and the food is always hot and fresh. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a new sandwich/chicken/burger joint.

To preface this, I’m a LONGTIME Red Robin lover of guacamole bacon burgers. Now that I’ve tasted Chubby’s… Hands down, I’d choose Chubby’s over Red Robin any time now. I love their guacamole Bacon Burger. The patties are juicy and full of flavor and the fixings are not put on lightly. I very much enjoy the beer batter fries with fry sauce, the scones are so delicious too with their honey butter. The restaurant is clean and has a very hole-in-the-wall feel. The customer service has been great. Every time we go, we’ve never been disappointed. Even my picky two year old downs their chicken nuggets. I’d pass on the shakes, there are better out there, but the burgers, especially the guacamole bacon burger, is so worth the trip! The prices are very decent for a fast food/sit down place to eat. I think they are fair and worth the price. Parking is easy, it shares with Ace Hardware. If you are craving a good old juicy burger. This is the place to eat.

Love the beer batter fries! Their burgers are good. too much bun for me. I love their sweet buffalo tenders and fish and chips. Only complaint, which isn’t really a complaint is that their portions are too large for lunch. But, so yummy!

This is my new favorite burger joint. Good service, a clean restaurant, and a high quality, diverse American menu full of Utah favorites including scones and shakes that are basically just soft serve ice cream. High points: excellent burgers and sides; listening to the comments of those around me, I’d say it’s safe to claim this for their entire menu. The service was also good and the staff is friendly and professional. Neutral(not good or bad, just be prepared): they actually make your food, so it can take a few minutes. Also, it seems popular, so it’s pretty busy – but they were quick to clean vacated tables. Disappointments: None

New location is awesome. Tons of seating in this fast causal restaurant. Quick and friendly service and they even bring it out to you. I had the jalapeño ranch deluxe burger. It was amazing. I go the jalapeño ranch sauce on the side and extra jalapeños. Perfect blend of flavors. I upgraded my order to beer battered fries. Can’t beat this burger joint. My husband ordered the cheesesteak burger. And he said you can’t beat it when meat is a «condiment.» I tried it and it was delicious. He is a burger guy and said it was phenomenal! The horseradish sauce mixed the meats together amazingly. What a deal for 2 burgers and upgraded sides for $ 18. Loved it.

I’m new to Utah, so there are some things that I’m getting used to. Fry sauce is one. And that is really good here. Another is that a «shake» here is not the same thing as a shake in Arizona. Down there it’s a beverage, it would appear that here it is not and is better consumed with a spoon than a straw. But that’s OK because the ones at Chubby’s are amazingly delicious no matter how you consume it. I have been here twice so far and I will certainly be here again. The first time I had the bacon ranch burger, which was perfectly prepared and extremely tasty. On my second trip it was the Philly cheese steak sandwich which was a excellent version, probably one of the best I have had without being on the east coast. The staff here is very friendly and the restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. This could easily, and most likely will, become a favorite lunch stop. And one final note, spring the extra couple bucks for the battered french fries, it’s totally worth it.

I’m rating this a 4.5 because it is easily one of the best burgers I’ve had in Utah County. The menu is huge with so many different options. If you don’t like burgers, no biggie, because there is plenty of items to choose from. We had some chicken fingers, and dang they were good and definitely freshly dipped there. Scones– if you’re into scones, then this is a must for a side. Wow they’re good. The seating in this restaurant is big. There is plenty of room for big parties. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food came out fast.

I really liked this place. It was just good old fashioned American Food. Any menu that serves shakes, scones, fries, burgers and wings catches my interest. I had the bacon ranch burger but with BBQ sauce instead of ranch. The bacon was well cooked and the sauce was good. The fries were solid but not over the top. Surprisingly enough I think the buffalo chicken strips and scones were my favorite part of the meal. Both were hot and fresh and the scones came with a wonderful honey butter dipping sauce. The prices are great and the place is clean. I will be back soon.

It’s been two years since our first review and this place still kills it. Hands down best burgers and beer battered fries. Our personal favorite is the mushroom swiss with extra sauce… To die for. We’ll go at least a couple of times a month. Favorite treat meal! Nicest owners! Just love Chubby’s!

Chubby’s is sooooo good. Unless you are on a diet. just in case you didn’t understand this from reading the name«chubby’s» this food is not healthy. If you are looking for some gluten free wheat grass hippy crap just don’t even show up. Your not welcome here. If you want killer food that doesn’t give a crap how many calories it has as long as it tastes amazing then you will LOVE this place.

This is my new favorite burger place in the area. They are better than JCW’s, Purple Turtle, Culvers, and any other burger place I’ve been to around the area. I tried to think of a fault while writing my review and can’t find one. I ordered a Guacamole Bacon Burger, with beer battered fries and a banana cream pie shake. There was a bit of a line, but the food was ready quickly. The burger was excellent. The bacon was crisp, but not too crispy, and full of flavor. The guacamole on it was great as well. The meat in the burger was great and a step above the other places in the area. The fries were also very good. They have fry sauce as well as a good variety of hot sauces you can put on your meal. I found a new Louisiana sauce that I really enjoyed. The shake was good as well, and full of big bites of pie. Overall it was a great, quick, tasty experience. I’m excited to go back and try some more of the menu.

I could spend hours talking about what’s good here but the short of it? EVERYTHING! We have tried just about every burger they have and have loved EVERY single one! The bun is perfectly chewy, and the flavors of each combination they make work perfectly to make your mouth super happy! You can also add anything you want to create your own custom burger– I’m a fan of adding bacon & a fried egg. I’ve also eaten 2 of the chicken sandwiches(buffalo and jalapeño ranch) and they were both delicious. Their chicken is heavenly! My husband always gets the beer battered fries(which I sneak some of) and I try to get the side salad– it’s nothing fancy but it makes me feel like I’m making SLIGHTLY healthier choices– hahaha.

Food is still awesome, place is getting so busy we now have to wait for a table to sit. I am so hooked on the shrimp po’boy and the Carolina pulled pork. I wonder if it is the coleslaw that makes these so awesome? Love hos this place is so consistent each and every time. Wish they would put a location in SLC.

Oh boy, this is a place that will live up to its name if you aren’t careful. If you like southern style home cooking, Chubby’s doesn’t disappoint. The new location is a lot nicer than the old one if you haven’t been yet. The poboys take me right back to New Orleans and the red beans and rice and hushpuppies are great additions to any meal. Show up early if you want the cornbread as it always sells out fast. And if you go during the lunch hour, expect to wait a few minutes as the line can get pretty long, but the wait is worth it. The burgers are some of the best around. At Chubby’s the food is good for your soul, if not so much for your body.
