I had high hopes for this shop at first glance, but I left rather disappointed, and without a single book! As far as used books go, a lot of the stock is ex-library and hardcover fiction, neither of which interests me very much. The organization puzzled me. For fiction, there is a Male Authors section and a Female Authors section.(I did check the shelves to see where Evelyn Waugh and George Eliot where shelved, but neither author could be found.) I guess if one reads ONLY books written by women or ONLY books by men, than this would be helpful. I found it annoying. The paperback genre fiction is not segregated. There’s a lot of classic westerns and old(vintage) children’s books. New books are lined up at front of the shop or scattered around in spinner racks. Besides books, the store stocks wine and a lot of art(some really nice) in a variety of media. The owner is very chatty! And some of the shelves fall down when you touch them, so be careful!

A nice selection of new and used books at very reasonable prices, and I’ve always found the owner very friendly, helpful, and talkative. A good place to while away awhile browsing, with an above-average chance of finding a hidden treasure among the stacks.
