2÷22÷2016− LUNCH Bookmarked this place after seeing a Unilocal review about it. Work lunches are hard because in my area there are only junk food places so when I saw The green Wave was only 12 minutes from me, I had to tell the boss lady. Right in a small shopping center off West Broward Blvd. It’s quite small but charming, reminds me of an authentic Cuban cafeteria. There are a handful of tables and some chairs at the bar. As soon as we walked in, our server said«Let me get you a table.» The tables are a little odd, if you are sitting across from each other you are so far apart. They have a nice menu selection, lots of options. We ordered their fresh squeezed orange juice($ 4 small). SOFRESH! My boss ordered the Famous Hummus Open Sandwich, with organic avocado, tomatoes, and fresh sprouts($ 14.50) and I ordered the Lettuce Boat Tacos, with fresh homemade guacamole, salsa, walnut pâté with Mexican flavors, topped with yellow Mexican cheese sauce($ 14.50). Both dishes came with a side, either the split pea soup or a house salad. We ordered one of each. Both dishes were fresh and delicious. My favorite was the hummus, it was spicy. Plus they sell it for $ 4. I must go back! Everything was so good, that we just had to order dessert. We ordered the Chocolate Cheesecake($ 10). YUM! The service was outstanding, super friendly!

I’m on a ‘let’s eat healthier’ kick so I tried this place for lunch. It’s very casual, a few tables and stools on the counter at a strip mall on Broward Blvd in Plantation. This is a raw vegan restaurant. So, naturally I tried the spicy ‘cheeseburger’ and the lentil soup. Both were very good. Flavorful, filling and healthy. Owner Raul friendly and helpful with recommendations if needed. Will return to try other items and specials. Recommended.

Let me start off by saying that The Green Wave is not for a wannabe, poser, vegan/vegetarian like me lol warning this is the real deal people! I appreciate and love my vegans/vegetarians. There are a lot of great culinary creations out there and I must have them from time to time! The Green Wave gets my hat tipped to them for just that. I love it when a place can be creative but still stick with the basics. I sampled a few dishes and can say that everything was great for what it is. Now, for a non vegetarian like me, some of the flavors were new and interesting. Taco boats– I was so excited to taste this dish! The portion size is huge and so filling. I couldn’t finish it all and this girl can eat. The flavors were tangy and spicy. I added some salsa to mine. The lettuce was great and the cheese was amazing. Everything here is vegan, raw organic fresh picked from their backyard practically! The texture was something I had to get used to. It was a mix of mushy&grainy– strange. After a few bites I was needed a break. Like a said, wannabe, poser over here was still looking for her picadillo texture lol Apple pie– So delicious, so so delicious. The huge, sweet cinnamon apple layers were exactly what I needed. I would have liked to sample this as a warm dessert. It was very cold, I had to let it defrost for a while, but it was still good. This place is expensive, but I will say that if you are a vegan/vegetarian this is where you need to come spend your hard earned money. Will I return, yes, but on a payday lol

This is a small vegan restaurant in a strip mall just off Broward Blvd. It’s very unassuming but has a «homey» feel. I recommended this spot to a vegan friend for lunch based on the reviews. She was excited and dying to try it. Thank goodness I’m not opposed to vegetarian or vegan places. We each had a burger. She got a salad with hers and I got the soup of the day– black bean. The salad was large and fresh. My soup was good but just needed a dash of salt to make it great. My spicy burger was pretty tasty and spicy! My friend liked hers too but was not crazy about the«bread» or cracker thing it was served on. It was a little chewy and got stuck in your teeth but don’t let that dissuade you from going and trying out this place. It seems family owned and I like to support local small business!

I wish I could give this place an awesome review because I am a long-time organic raw vegan, but I’ve been here several times and EVERYTHING I’ve eaten here has been tasteless. The presentation is great, but nothing tastes good. It doesn’t taste BAD — it just has zero taste. Perhaps I’m spoiled by the amazing raw vegan restaurants in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York, but I’m honestly embarrassed by this place. I feel like it probably turns people off from raw vegan food. In actuality, raw vegan dishes are DELICIOUS but this place is a disappointment. It’s a pretty hideous little dive place, on top of that. At least up your atmosphere/style if your food isn’t going to have flavor. The house salad was literally a small amount of spinach and 2 tiny grape tomatoes. I hope this place stays in business but works on adding flavor to their recipes. Please don’t turn people off from vegan food!!!

Green Wave has some amazing raw vegan options. Being vegan in a slow progressive state, it’s hard to find a good restaurant. Just about everything is made from scratch so it’s the good healthy stuff. Their burgers with the homemade onion bread is awesome. The downside to this place is the atmosphere. It looks a little plain and dreary. The prices are a little on the high side(due to homemade fresh product and no competition do drive prices lower). Service is ok not amazing but a typical sit down counter service.

I’m not a vegan but wanted to eat healthy and decided to try this place. I had the taco and my sister had the veggie cheese burger both were super tasty. Also they were super friendly, and had excellent customer service. Only con I would say it’s a bit pricey for a lunch.

This place is seriously incredible. Dana took care of us and poured Love all over our experience. Heads-up: this is such an excellent spot that I have no words to do it justice. Creative plates, friendly, caring service from the people preparing the food right in front of you, fantastic vibe –delicious all around. So glad, so grateful to have found this absolute gem of a place. Oh, and if you’re in the mood for dessert, the raw apple pie is a must-have. Remember, ‘food making’ is the highest form of art. In 2 hours the food we ingest turns into one’s blood, skin, heart, brain and all other organs. It turns into one’s mood, one’s ability to interact with the world, external and internally. It can expand the mind wide or shut it close. It’s in our best interest to pick places with good artists, good ‘paint’, good intentions.

about the only thing good I can say, is its seemed like an earnest effort. ???the execution ??? I think blindfolded with one hand tied behind my back, I could do better. I’m devout omnivore, that embraces a good vegetarian meal from time to time. had a green bean soup, that ranks with one of the worst things I’ve ever tasted. Nice people. Great intention. but WOW… WOW… WOW !!! candidate for worst meal of the year.

This is one of my favorite places to go for lunch. Is it more expensive than McDonalds, Wendy’s, or even quick-service places like Panera and Chipotle? Yes! I don’t understand all the commentary on the prices… You are getting all organic fruit and veggies in the form of a really yummy, filling meal. Is that worth $ 14 + tip? It is for me. If you want a special drink in additional to your meal(which includes an appetizer soup or salad), you’ll spend an additional $ 6-$ 8. I love this place; I always leave feeling full and healthy. The owner is usually around and really friendly. Check out groupon before going, sometimes they have a deal. Also, if you live in the area, they sometimes put a coupon in the local savings magazines. Enjoy!

As a transplant from the Pacific Northwest, I was very excited to try a raw, organic, all vegan restaurant in South Florida. We had the spicey cheeseburger, tuna sushi roll, fiesta burrito, chocolate milkshake, strawberry kiwi cheesecake, and sweet potato soup. Total came to $ 65 before tip. The food was very filling and yummy. Three issues: 1) All the plastic, disposable dishware that was used(our water and milkshake were served in plastic cups even though we were dining in). 2) As other reviewers have mentioned the price is such that it’s not a place you could justify going to everyday, for some of us, but the establishment is much too casual for special occasions. 3) My partner was a tad disappointed that the flavors from the varied dishes(burrito, sushi, burger) were somewhat indistinguishable, the taste was mostly the same across the board(salad, nut butter pâté, spices). Overall, happy to have a place like this nearby. Yes, I would recommend and return.

Thank you Green Wave! I was on assignment shooting a branding video for a b2b client and went on Google to search for a place to have lunch at and found you!!! My proffession calls for a ton of traveling and it isn’t always easy to find a healthy«safe» vegetarian place to eat at; thank you! It was comforting to take a break between«takes» to unwind and enjoy delicious vegan comfort food. 4 Stars without a doubt. I would highly reccomend The Green Wave to anyone searching for Vegan healthy yummy food in Plantation, FL. :) *Fast Service As Well

Started doing their meal plan and it started off great but then started seeing a lack of consistency. By the 4th week it got pretty messy and I could not eat 1 of my meals since it was soggy. Not much was done after I called to notify them. The plan is very expensive so it was not the response I expected. I recommend having dinner or lunch there but I can’t recommend the meal plan.

So my friend and I were in the mood to try a new place and we came across this restaurant. Since it had great reviews we decided to give t a try. I chose to go for the Cheese Burger, this particular option has a choice of onion bread or almond bread(the server totally forgot to ask which one I wanted). The almond bread sounded like a delicious option so why not try it. Before we got our sandwiches we had a cup of lentil soup. I wasn’t particularly impressed with it. It tasted kind of bland and that made me sad. The we go our sandwiches. Presentation wasn’t bad, however, the bread was definitely what I was expecting. It looked more like a cracker. Sadly we did not have the greatest experience here and the worst part was that we ended up hungry. Just because is vegan food it shouldn’t mean little food. Not all vegetarians eat a little.

This place was one of the best places I’ve been in Fort Lauderdale! You just feel yourself like at home! And food is delicious! And you know what’s the main difference between natural food or not? The biggest difference is that I after you it one of the natural cheeseburgers you just feel full for about 4 – 5 hours. However if you eat not natural food you just feel full for 2 hours. So I will highly recommended this place and definitely come here again!

Ok — so here is my issue with this place: I’m a vegetarian who has an appetite. Just because I don’t eat meat doesn’t mean I eat children portions and that is exactly what you will get here. I walked in a on weekday around 12:10 ish to an empty restaurant. The staff was nice and helpful and their menu has plenty of options. Good start(I thought). I ordered a veggie burger(which is $ 14.50). The burger came in what seemed to be crackers instead of bread. Super thin flat bread and the pattie was the size of a happy meal. I looked at my plate in complete disbelief. Am I being punked?! My friend ordered the vegan burger with almond bread and had the same issue. The burger was ok — they put a sauce in it that was quite lovely, but honestly two bites and my $ 15 lunch was gone. I was so disappointed and will probably not be returning. Needless to say, we left this place and went straight to another venue to get some extra treats. Food is ok, Service is good. Portions are a joke, Prices are high.

Great place. You cant cook home RAW like they do here. I tried lots of time to eat vegan, didint work. Once I came there, I realized I am just a bad cooker :) Everything good except uncomfortable chairs and table, their plates and other stuff needs some update!

eeeek! 1st timer, brought my cousin along and we fell in loooooove! I had the vegan cheeseburger and it exceeded my expectations. Super hearty, flavorful, you wouldn’t think its vegan. Entrées come with soup or salad, I chose salad with the green onion dressing and it was delish! Such a great portion and the options for the dressings are sooo fun. Finished off with coffee ice cream and chocolate and banana cake to share amongst us. The chocolate banana had coconut shavings on the top, soooo heavenly, melt in your mouth. I really can go on and on about how impressed I was and what awesome options they have. Can’t wait to come back!

Tasty and healthy food… but pricey, no ambiance, and mediocre service. Don’t get me wrong, the employees were very sweet, but just not the most attentive or speedy. The kitchen is only large enough to accommodate one person, so I could see the wait on food getting long if you’re here during a busy time. I had the lettuce boat tacos and they were extremely filing, especially because it comes with a large side salad to start. I read more reviews after I left and it seems I need to try the burger next time. I really wanted to try a dessert, but I couldn’t justify spending over $ 20 on a lunch full of vegetables. I’ll be back out of convenience(it’s a mile from my office), but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

I love this place! I kept seeing the groupon online for it and i finally purchased it. Great purchase! Our waitress was so sweet and everything we ordered was so delicious. I got the vegan cheeseburger, which came with a Side salad, I got the almond hearts for dessert and the turtle balls along with the apple pie which was insane tasting!!! I’m Hooked. I will be back. Often. I’m not even vegan, ha! Thank you green wave. Wish there were more restaurants like yours near my house.

Wow! Who would have thunk you can get this much flavor and satisfaction from a restaurant that is not just 100% vegan/raw/organic, but also gluten-free and, I believe even soy– and grain-free. Staff is super friendly and customers are all in a good mood. Funny thing that happens when people are well nourished. We went family style and shared their chipotle cheeseburger and the burrito. I love that their«bread» and«tortilla» wrappers are grain-free. They basically take raw onion, or in the case of the burrito shell, avocado and tomato and dehydrate them. Genius. Wrap that around a delicious faux meat patty made with nuts, seeds and veggies, top it with fresh avocado, salsa and spicy«mayo» and I am happy. The portions don’t look that big but don’t be fooled, they are filling. I even skipped dinner that evening, because I was still full from lunch. Unheard of for someone who usually has to eat every 3 hours. If you’re lucky, they’ll still have some cheesecake. We snagged the last two slices of vanilla cashew cheesecake. Just nuts and coconut oil sweetened with Medjool dates. I did taste the coconut oil, which I didn’t mind, but it shouldn’t be that prominent. Vegan cheesecake is not easy to make and I appreciate that they only use wholesome ingredients. It was good but I’ve had better. Overall definitely worth a visit even if you’re not part of the vegan movement. No judgment at this place, just smiling faces.

If you’re looking for a healthy place to eat, you found it. They serve completely raw, organic food. They also have fresh juices and smoothies. I feel like it wasn’t as filling or satisfying for how much I was paying though.
