I’ve been taking my sister here since last year. She saw Dr. Arena a few times and he was great. He was nice but everything he prescribed for her never worked. I took her on a follow up a couple of days ago, just to be told that her referral expired.
Now, when I made the appointment, no one EVER asked about a referral and I assumed the one she previously had was still good since they didn’t say I needed a new one.
When I get in, they tell me her referral just expired the day before. And the receptionist continually tried convincing me that she made the appointment and asked me if I had a refferal.
I live over 20 minutes away from this office and my sister missed a make up eoc test for this appointment (we had to reschedule the eoc because she didn’t know she had to take it until the day of).
I couldn’t get a same day refferal and the doctor refused to see her (they scheduled with a different dr from Arena) even though they were going to back date the referral.
The office didn’t even attempt to call the insurance or offer any options besides me harassing her primary doctor about a referral they already told me couldn’t be processed the same day.
This office is slow, unhelpful and I was already not too fond of the vibe there, but this last visit just really was utterly ridiculous. I’ll never bring her here again, I’ve already requested a new refferal with a different office. I refuse to deal with such unprofessional, uncaring people.
And to top it off, not once did they even attempt to apologize for their mistake, instead they tried to make it seem like it was my fault. Just the worst visit ever.

My first visit was wonderful. Today is my second visit and my appointment was at 10:45 and i haven’t been seem yet. I asked twice the front desk to get an estimate time of when I’m going to be seem and i was ignored both times. They call people that arrived after you. Don’t even bother coming to this office unless you are willing to be ignore and wait for hours!
