I’m usually able to split a pizza i.e. Half pepperoni, half mushroom; but after the owner scolded his employees, they aren’t allowed to do this anymore. Every other pizzeria happily caters to this but why not this one??? A little disappointed at how little they care about their customers. On a side note, I think their pizza good but is a little overpriced.

This is just an average Italian restaurant. My daughter loved the meat balls there. The minestrone soup was loaded with vegetables, no beans, which was good for since I don’t like beans. We had the stuffed artichoke. I was a nice size with good flavor. My wife liked the pizza. I had the combination chicken, veal, and eggplant. Breeding was a little heavy, but the sauce was really good. Service was pretty good. I think the next time I try this place I’ll have the pizza or calzone.

Have driven past this place at least a hundred times and ate here tonight when friends asked us to meet up. We started with a stuffed artichoke. It was HUGE and garlicky delicious. My husband had the minestrone soup. I tried it. I didn’t find it super hot or super flavorful. I had the ‘baby’ pizza. It was the perfect size and it was good. Although it needed ooyer gooyer cheese but it was definitely tasty. The crust was perfect. I also had a side salad which was rather big and nice and fresh. My daughter has the kid’s meatball with spaghetti. She loved the giant meatball. Husband had the veal, eggplant, chicken parm combo. He didn’t leave anything over. He loves combos. Our friends had pizza. I do think it is a little odd that they offer both fresh and canned mushrooms. My friend was a little confused when he was asked which he would like. It definitely isn’t a fancy scmancy kinda place, but everyone was friendly, it wasn’t over priced and the food wasn’t bad. I would go back.

Very nice restaurant, food was delicious and staff quick and friendly. Only downsides are the appetisers were a bit greasy, and there was some gunk on some of the plates we were given, which they did manage to clean off. Definitely recommend.

Used to love this place but the last few times have been disappointing. I’d rather they charge me a couple dollars more and serve decent food and not be so obviously cheap that it makes the experience completely unappetizing. Just to illustrate, the side salad has ONE olive, ONE slice of day old tomato, ONE slice of cucumber and half a wad of wilted lettuce. Waiters are friendly, pizza making guy is a grouch. Go to close by Ciro’s for good, cozy Italian food, better quality and better prices.

The pizza is OK the rest of the food sucks and can you believe it when you order a pizza and you want fresh mushrooms they make you pay extra.

Really good pizza! The dough was very delicious and fresh. The service was fast and I definitely order again. I would ask for extra cheese and sauce next time.

The family has been on the lookout for a good local pizza place. We had a really nice lunch at Jacaranda pizza. Comfortable seating, good acoustics(can’t take grandma to Coal Fired, too loud) and best off all yummy pizza. Not the best I’ve ever had but for Plantation, I’ll take it. I ordered a salad and it was fresh. I wouldn’t look to this casual place for fine Italian food but it’s a good place to have a pizza and casual fare. Parking is convenient in this strip mall. Our waitress was very attentive and efficient. The restaurant and the restroom appeared clean. We will return soon.

My entire family has been coming to this place for as long as I can remember. It is the perfect neighborhood Italian spot for a quick inexpensive meal. We just recently started order their pizza for takeout and we are so happy we did. The food is always fresh and hot– you really can’t go wrong with jacaranda pizza!

I had high hopes for this place to have really good Italian food from the reviews I had read. Was very disappointed. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and it had no favor what so ever! Very water down. It came with a soup, never got it! I did like the look of the place but the food was just not good or maybe it was what I ordered. I don’t know. I felt bad sending it back. After paying the bill I had to cross over to taco bell to grab something to eat. Doubt I’ll be back.

Department lunch to Jacaranda Pizzeria turned me on to a new eatery that I love. The inside is one of those quaint, diner like decorated places. You know, the black chairs with the brown cushions and those easy to wipe mats? It’s a staple of any place that has good food. We were sat upon entry and I noticed for lunchtime, it wasn’t very busy. The server gave us drinks, ran over the specials and we placed our order. Note: they give you garlic knots– do not pass these up. They are warm, soft, butter and very garlicky. They are delicious. Don’t plan on kissing anyone after lunch, but who cares. The lunch portion of the chicken Parmesan was enormous. I think the meal itself was around $ 8-$ 9 and honestly I think I would have paid $ 15-$ 16 elsewhere for what I got. Huge hunk of chicken accompanied by a big pile of spaghetti. Everything was perfect. I’ve heard their pizza is great too so that’s on my list of things to try so stay tuned. It was the perfect lunch meeting because no one talked. We were too busy stuffing our faces with this delicious Italian food. I’m definitely a fan

I have been coming here for 10+ with my family. It’s a cute little restaurant with friendly staff. They have amazing soup and very fresh salads. Their garlic rolls are delicious and the pizza is great! You can order a «baby pizza» which is like a personal size which is really nice. I recently tried the fettuccini Alfredo and omg it was DELICIOUS!!! I’ve had good Alfredo before but this was outstanding. From their chicken parm to their Marsala this place doesn’t let down. It’s a great little Italian joint and it’s been around for years for a reason.

I was recently in Florida visiting my dad and he took me out for Italian food at Vignetos, his favorite place for Italian. I was not happy, read my Unilocal review. During our meal I had mentioned that I preferred the«other place» he had taken me on my last visit. The other place was Jacaranda. I had ordered the same thing in both restaurants, veal parm with spaghetti. The meal I was served at Jacaranda was properly prepared the veal arrived at the table hot and the pasta was cooked al dente and was not drowning in sauce. My dad had the manicotti and he polished it off saying it was very good. This is a local neighborhood pizza joint and the pizza must be good because I noticed a lot of carry out orders. Next time I’m down there I’ll have to try the pizza. But for Italian food when I’m in Ft. Lauderdale this is my go to place. Give them a try.

Took six people for dinner there. The salads came very late. The main courses then came cold. They were sent back and still cold. The food that night was inadequate and service was almost non-existent. I called the manager and was told they have been in business for 38 years and did not need my business.

Closest thing to real NY pizza down here. A little greasy but I like that. Got an extra cheese pie and a pepperoni pie. Boss complained pie wasn’t large enough for the price but he probably eats Papa Johns. This is good pizza. Added pepper flakes cuz I roll like that. Keep up the good work peeps.

This place has been a great place for food and service over the last 20 years however tonight was a different story. When we went in to get a table, the host said there was nothing available with no explanation. She was rude and we will never come here again.

I can’t believe how shrimp scampi was served floating in garlic sauce in a bowl. It was tasty but they need to review their plating practices

Food is okay. Not the best italian food, but for the area, it is good. The chicken parm is not pounded out as thin as I would like, but that is a personal preference. They do a lot of take out and that is the only way we have done it. I would like to eat at the restaurant and see if it is any different.

I don’t know that the positive reviews were wrong. But I am basing my review on my experience. Overall it was okay. Restaurant has a bar and lounge attached. Though I was right next to the door to the lounge it wasn’t too loud. I found the off key Karaōke charming. I ordered two slices of pizza and a Caesar salad. Salad was well portioned. Slices were adequate size and seemed very cheap. But I learned… If you are having toppings on you pizza, order a whole pizza rather than a slice if you like the toppings cooked. With the two slices… Pepperoni was cooked. Artichokes and olives seemed added cold. Pizza was oily was served on paper plates. I’m thinking if I had arrived earlier and order a whole pizza my experience may have been different. Perhaps the crust would have been crisper. Service began friendly and prompt. I paid $ 20 cash on a $ 16.50 check. I was asked if I wanted change. I said keep it. It’s not my favorite line from a waiter. I should have gotten the change then left it, as I did need a receipt and waiter disappeared for a while after I paid. Jacaranda is close to the hotel. If I were staying longer I might find my way back… eventually… to test my theory on the whole pizza.

I’ve been going to Jacaranda Pizza basically my entire life. As a native son of South Florida who lived in New York City for over a year, I can tell you that the pizza this place produces is the closest thing to NY pizza you’ll get anywhere outside the Big Apple. Having spent the last 7 years in South California, a veritable pizza wasteland, I always made sure I got my annual dose of quality ‘za whenever I was home in Plantation. The chicken/veal parmesan, piccata, and marsala are always good as well. The cannolis are simply the icing on the cake! Renata, the owner, has watched me grow up, and she’s a delight every time I’m fortunate to see her when she’s on shift. I always look forward to catching up with her when I’m at «Jac.» If you’re in the hunt for good Italian food and world-class pizza, consider visiting Plantation’s marvelous institution known as Jacaranda Pizza.
