Awesome, awesome, awesome… Amber did henna on my very pregnant belly for maternity photos that I had done. She was great to work with and very accomodating-making sure to get the timing right between having the henna done and the scheduled photo shoot. The price was reasonable for the amount of work that she did and the skill required. Everyone loved the artwork and we are blessed to have wonderfully artistic photos to capture the event. I look forward to using Amber’s services in the future.

I was browsing around the South Florida member section of Unilocal and came across Amber T’s profile. I noticed she was a Henna artist. I got extremely excited because I’ve lived in SoFLa for over 5 years and I couldn’t find a Henna Artist down here. First of all, the people down here are either over priced, only book parties of 5 or more, and use that horrible black chemical that burns your skin. Amber is the sweetest, most fascinating and cultured person I’ve met down here. Besides being fabulous, her Henna was beautiful. She has books with designs or you can tell her what you have in mind. I asked for traditional and for her to do whatever she wanted, as long as she put an Om on me. She found a gorgeous design with an Om and Swans that I fell in love with. She sealed the Henna paste with lemon, sugar and cotton. She also wrapped it up and told me to keep it on over night. I’ve never had that done before, and I’m very glad she did this for me. It turned out better than the Henna I’ve had done by Indian people. My friend’s parents were Indian and they didn’t finish up with this process. We had to wait around all day and steam our paste. You can book her for yourself, parties and corporate events. Amber’s art is amazing and I urge everyone to get Henna done by her! I had so many compliments during my trip! It’s supposed to last up to two weeks, but mine faded in a week. It’s totally my fault though. You’re supposed to rub cocoa butter and care for it. I was on the streets of Philadelphia and I was always scrubbing my body with harsh chemicals because I felt so disgusting! Here are some pictures of the process, the next day(which isn’t too dark, it needs to oxidize to get dark) and a close up of the design at it’s darkest(by day 2). We had technical difficulties with my camera, so I only have crappy iPhone pictures.
