Hampton Inn

Good price, clean rooms, safe neighborhood. Hard things to find around Fort Lauderdale.

Manager was very nice, hotel was clean and well kept. Pool area is nice and isolated.

I was accompanying the Boyfriend to a school interview & this was one of the recommended hotels.
The room we stayed in was decent in size & was very clean. There is complimentary wi-​fi without the ned for a log-​in. There is complementary breakfast in the lobby with lots of selections which was great since I spent a lot of time working while he was away. To get to/​from the airport, there is a courtesy shuttle; but you have to let the front desk know so they can send for it. And if you happen to need to get to the airport before the shuttle is running, the front desk has a specific taxi driver that they call who is cheaper than regular cabs.
The hotel is located across the street from a shopping center & within walking distance to other stores & restaurants so there is plenty to do in the area.

Room had ants in the nightstand drawer and I killed some sort of bug in the bed. The mattress was kind of mushy and the pillows were old. The breakfast was passable. I would have given one star, but our shuttle driver was amazing… Then, after we requested and got a late check out there was a problem with that too.
