I love the food truck invasion of plantation heritage park! It’s such great vibes with tons of different people. It’s definitely great for groups and families even with small child, even bring your dogs for a walk! This is my third visit and I will say it takes a while to weed out the food trucks from the not so good. There’s about 12 trucks every week. And sometimes the trucks change so don’t be surprised if your favorite truck is absent on week but present the next. I’ve kind of set in so far on The Miami Press which serves up amazing sandwiches(try the gazette) and Hip Pop which has a wide assortment of ice cream and sorbet pops as well as smoothies with tons of toppings to choose from, super delicious(try the pistachio pop). All in all its a great place to break up the start of your week, get out the a building, breathe the fresh air and get some good bites!

What else is there to do on a Tuesday night!!! Nothing else if Food Truck Invasion is at Heritage Park! The Facebook page is updated with the line up of trucks, and there are tons to chose from! My personal favorites for food and service are: Palate Party, Monster Burger and Zombie Ice. Da Burger Shack has amazing burgers, too! This event is so great because the trucks bring the great food, you bring a cooler full of your own concoctions, and the park is absolutely gorgeous!!! Tons of room to run around and play ball, a bounce house for the kiddos, and even a lake for fishing! Get there early and make a play date of it! Bring your cute dogs, too! :)

I love food trucks! This has been going for some time now, where food trucks are lined up every Tuesday at Brian Piccolo Park, and I finally was able to stop by. There was plenty of parking on the grassy areas of the park by the food trucks. The atmosphere is so nice, families come out with their small children and dogs to grab some delicious food and sit down on a blanket and enjoy some family time(I love how food brings people together). This time they also had a «movie on the lawn» where they projected a movie to watch while people enjoy their food. The selection of food is very vast, there is something for everyone. I decided to go with a truck that offered chicken and red velvet waffles, absolutely delicious! The waffles came with syrup and marshmallow sauce yummmm omg so good. And the chicken was very flavorful and hot. I also got the mystery punch to quench my thirst and it was very sweet and sour, definitely hit the spot. They also have other trucks offering burgers, lobster sandwiches, ice cream, personalized pops(hippops), hot dogs, gourmet fries, and much more! If you’re looking something new and fun to spice up your Tuesday head over to Brian Piccolo for a nice mid-week treat for the whole family.

What a nice way to spend a Tuesday evening. We tried: El Orgullo Latino, my daughter loved the fish tacos. She said they were amazing. I wasn’t fast enough to try them because *poof* they were gone. I got a chicken burrito and it was really yummy. The lady taking my order asked if I wanted, ‘this or that?’ I just asked her to make it the way she usually does. Yum! The refried beans in the burrito were tasty. The hot sauce on the side was creamy, not too hot. Very good! Miami Pizza, my son had a regular slice of cheese pizza. It looked a bit meh. Not much to it, not a lot of sauce, cheese or interesting crust. Perhaps these slices are designed to have ‘stuff’ on them. Not sure but would probably skip this next time. The kids got Bobo smoothies from Bobo Station. The kids got a mango drinks with strawberry balls(whatever that is?). They enjoyed the smoothies. Going to the Food Truck Invasion was a last minute decision and I was dressed in hot business clothes. A nice gentleman came over to us wanting to discuss the merits of West Coast tacos. I could barely speak because I was so hot. Thought I was going to melt like the Wicked Witch of the North. I apologize for not being much of a conversationalist, I was melting… Next time.

First time at the Food Truck Invasion! Loved it. Will be going back next week a frisbee and my dogs. :) Overview of our food choices: — Miami Press gourmet sandwiches: The Daily. This sandwich was delicious. Chicken, Brie cheese, apricot jam, tomato, and spinach. The jam was the perfect«sauce» to tie in the flavors of the sandwich. Decently priced at $ 9 and a good size. Would highly recommend. :) — Food Junkies: chicken and waffles(red velvet waffles). My boyfriend got these and I picked. The chicken wings were perfectly cooked and made to order — super juicy and not too greasy. The waffle was so soft and had delicious flavor with a light powdered sugar top. The dipping sauce was very sweet and marshmellowy/Cinnabon frosting-like. It was good, but I think a sweet maple syrup option would also be great. My boyfriend’s only critique was that he wishes it was a whole breast or thigh of fried chicken versus a few wings so he could have had more of it in the serving. :) His was $ 11 for the meal. — Lobster Guy: Lobster Roll that had the garlic scampi sauce. This was my dad’s meal. I recommended the Old Bay lobster roll but he chose otherwise. He was underwhelmed. I had a bite toward the end and it was pretty minimal. But I can’t go based on my review entirely because, like I said, it was the end of the sandwich. But he said it was too dry — he prefers a more traditional lobster roll with more of a sauced on it. Seemed like a substantial amount of lobster, though. But he liked my boyfriend and my meals better than his own — I’d have to agree. His was $ 13 for the sandwich. We then had HipPop for dessert. I opted for a lighter version — so we went with a sorbet pop(made with just the fruit and water, said the truck employee). We got Passion Fruit sorbet dipped in semi-sweet chocolate and dipped in half chopped almonds, half shaved coconut. It was pretty awesome. Next time I might opt for a different flavor pop– maybe coconut or something else from the gelato category(all made with skim milk). The bottles of water at each of our trucks was consistent at $ 2. Tip for next time: BYOdrinks(water or otherwise ;) …) Stay longer and enjoy the park! I recommend this as a nice Tuesday evening activity for families and anyone else. :) Be careful when parking that you don’t trap yourself in as the grass becomes more filled with cars! ***Chacos Tacos outside of Funky Buddha is still the best food truck cuisine I’ve had thus far — hopefully they’re at Heritage Park one of the next times I’m back!*** UPDATE/ADD-ON: Went again tonight. This time: Taco Fresh — I got the Gringa taco(pork, queso, cilantro, their sauce, pineapple and onions on a tortilla. This.Was.Delicious. Hands down, a repeat buy for next time. It was a great size and full of flavor and plenty of meat. It was a pricy single taco, but like I said, a good size and well worth the $ 8. Jerk It — my boyfriend got the Jammin’ Jerk Chicken with fries. It was also a good serving size, at $ 10. The chicken had great flavor and was very moist. On the bone. The fries even had a special jerk kick to them with a spice blend lightly covering them. He said next time he may try a different meat in the same style. Miami Press — my dad got The Daily based on how much I enjoyed it last week(see above for more info). $ 9. Lobstah Mobstah — my grandmother got some type of lobster roll with a side of tator tots. This roll was exponentially better than the one from my previous review on the other lobster roll truck. The roll was plentiful and filled with loads of thick, juicy lobster meat with just the right amount of buttery garlicky goodness. The tator tots had a delicious chipotle style mayo drizzled on them. Not sure of the price, but it was delicious. Food Dudes — my mom got a veggie burger and a side of tostones(flat plantains). I didn’t try her burger but she enjoyed it. The plantains were delicious. They had a sprinkle of what I think was like a parmesan cheese and some chopped herbs(cilantro?) on them and a creamy cilantro or Sriracha mayo dipping sauce. We all helped her with those. :) Not sure of price on either. For dessert, we went back to HipPop. This time we had a suggested combo, called The Tony. It was a vanilla bean gelato pop dipped in milk chocolate and rolled in pretzel bits. $ 5. Amazing. Gotta save room for a pop(to share) every time. We brought our 2 small dogs this time. They made it a little bit more stressful since they bark at and«team up» on every dog within 10 feet. But I’m glad they got a little social time in. Threw the football around. Lots of kids this time. They had even started playing a movie on an inflatable screen as we were leaving. Awesome community event. :)

This event is a great way to spend Tuesday evening if you are bored at home! They have 20 or so food trucks all lined up and offering different types of food. From gyros to cupcakes! I was impressed at the amount of trucks and the variety of food available all in one space. There is most definitely something for everyone here, even the picky eaters. I ate from a variety of different trucks and I’ll be describing which food truck I ate from, what I got, and how the food was. *Monster Burger: My fiancé and I shared a monster burger from here($ 9). It was decently sized and had some chips inside it which I really liked along with some yummy monster sauce. It also had some mozzarella cheese on it which was delicious! I would most definitely recommended it! *La Nostra Pizza: My little brother got a pepperoni pizza and a sprite from this truck. He loves pizza and said it was great and loved how gooey the cheese on the pizza was. *Taco Fresh: I got a Gringa taco, it was amazing! It had pineapples, cilantro, onions, and pulled pork. It also came with a slice of lime to squeeze on top. I loved the juiciness of the pork and the flavor of the taco. The tortilla was very soft and the pineapples added a wonderful yummy taste to the taco! My fiancé got the carne asada taco which had carne asada, cilantro, onions, and a generous amount of guacamole on it! It was delicious, and something I would recommend. The guacamole was nice and cool and the meat was nice and warm. This taco also came with a slice of lime to squeeze on top. –Boba Station: I got green tea jasmine with classic tapioca pearls. My fiancé got passion tea with classic tapioca pearls. We both asked for our teas to be sweetened. I loved the taste of the jasmine however my tea hadn’t been sweetens so I had to go back to ask for it to be sweetened. The tapioca pearls were very very chewy, chewer than most tapioca pearls I’ve had. The passion tea that my fiancé got tasted amazing and if I had to recommend a flavor that’s the one I would recommend, it was fruity and sweet without being overpowering. –Mobstah Lobstah: My fiancé and I got a Maine style lobster roll to share which was $ 14.75 including tax. It was amazing! They were not stingy with the lobster, it was spilling out of its warm delicious buttery roll. Yum! Even my little brother who is a super picky eater said it was delicious! The lobster roll also had some yummy green onions on it which added the perfect touch. –Food Junkies: Peach cobbler chicken and waffles. That’s all I have to say. The waffles were so soft and the peach cobbler sauce they come with was out of this world good! The fried chicken was amazing, it had this sweet and yet spicy dry rub tossed on the top which was amazing! It was so good, if you could only eat one thing while at Food Truck Invasion I would recommend the peach cobbler chicken and waffles! –Dolce(Gourmet Cupcakes): My little brother and Fiancé each got a cupcake. They were 2 for $ 5. My little brother got the red velvet and my fiancé got the Godiva chocolate cupcake. The cupcakes were great, not overly sweet to the point where they make you sick. Moist cakes with creamy frosting on top. Overall the event is tons of fun and it’s nice to see families come out and enjoy some time outside with their dogs. A good amount of people come out with their chairs and towels so they can sit and not have to stand. However, it was very hot and sunny at the time I went(5:30). To the point where everyone was sweating and covering their faces because the sun was in their eyes. This event is definitely worth checking out though, so be sure to bring your family, friends, and dogs!

My wife and try and do the food truck invasion as often as possible. It’s not the healthy night of eating that we should be doing but man do we love it. Chicken and waffles, lobster roll sandwiches, pork tacos, quesadillas wow its all so good. HipPops is a must everytime tho so we always try and save room.

So it’s Tuesday evening and you’re looking for something low key to do. Well here is your answer. Come on out to Volunteer Park and stroll through the food trucks. With 20 or so different trucks there’s something for everybody. From desert to gourmet hot dogs from lobster rolls to tacos they’ve got quite the selection. You have kids that’s fine they put a blow up movie screen out and play something pg-13 for the young ones. They even have a small bounce house for those with a little too much energy. You can even bring the dog they are welcome also. So pack up some lawn chairs, a cooler, the family and the dog. Come on out and relax for a couple hours. Sure beats staring at the idiot box and what else do you have to do on a Tuesday evening. See you there. Cheers.

This food truck event is great! I’ve been frequenting it for a couple months now, and it never fails to leave me full and happy. There’s usually around 25 trucks parked around the park, and there’s quite a bit of variety in the items that they offer — depending on the day, you’ll be able to find anything from crepes to quesadillas. The event can get pretty crowded around 6 p.m., but it’s never suffocating or anything; especially when compared to the amount of people that attend the food truck event in Arts Park on Mondays. A few of my favorites are: Dolce Gourmet Cupcakes — Their lemon cupcake is my favorite! HipPOPs — Smooth gelato pops, Oreo is my favorite! Miami Press — The Mac ‘n Cheese Ball is a must-try! Palate Party — The parmesan fries are delicious! What the French — Their crepes are a great treat! All in all, I recommend this event if you’re looking for something to do with friends or family on a Tuesday night, it’s quite fun and filling!

Tons of food trucks surround this very open park. I would say there is over 40 trucks offering everything from burgers, bbq, tacos, deserts, etc. Its a dog friendly event but i wish that there was more tables. We usually bring a big beach towel to sit on and hang out. Its a fun event for friends and families. They even had an outside movie showing once with star wars

We are so happy have the Food Truck Invasion in Plantation, which doesn’t get a lot of cool community events. We often order and share just one item from each of several different trucks. Our current favourites are: — Woody’s — Mobstah Lobstah — Hippops — Ice Cream Expres — Jersey Dawg — Either of the cupcakes trucks

We love food trucks and have been to this event a few times. The trucks can be different each time so it’s difficult to give a review, I am giving four stars because it’s a nice event to have in the area and I’d like to see it continue. The have a big screen with movies for the kids, lots of picnic tables etc. Lots of people bring their dogs and I even saw a ferret on a leash. It would be nice if there was more lighting than what is provided by the food trucks themselves, when the sun goes down it’s a bit dark walking around. On our most recent visit we tried Taco Fresh(decent but not great or particularly authentic Mexican), Legends BBQ(disappointing and not very well run or organised), the gelato popsicles(yummy!), Jersey Dawg(very good fried hot dogs) and MiamiGoz Korean(meh). So not a great night in terms of food, but other nights have been better. I totally recommend you give it a try.
