We went here with a friend who needed new glasses. I love looking at frames so we browsed around while she was checking out the inventory.
The first thing that I noticed was that virtually none of the frames were accessible without help from a sales associate. While understand that this is because they are trying to reduce losses from shoplifting, there is an optical shop on Las Olas with much higher end frames that allows easy access to most of the styles.
They had most of the «right» names, if you’re looking for designer frame, i.e. Michael Kors, Prada, D&G, etc., but the styles were strictly average. In the entire inventory, I didn’t see a single pair that I would choose to wear. There was essentially no «bling» available. I know sparkle isn’t for everyone, but there are a lot of us who like frames that are more fun. Those are not here.
On the better side of the store, the staff was friendly and helpful. After my friend selected her frames, they didn’t try to give her 6 different up-​sells to boost the price. The prices were about average for designer frames.
If you’re looking for basic designer styles, this isn’t a bad place to go.

I’ve been coming here for years and recently they did switch to more modern technology such as remote view and controlled exams. Vinny is cream of the crop and one of the most helpful and professional people I’ve ever dealt with. Even when I ran into some issues with my prescription he went above and beyond with getting me taken care of and making sure I was happy.
I had some issues with frames that I chose after a couple weeks with new glasses and went in today with no appointment at all, but Iris was there and immediately took care of me and worked hard to make sure I felt taken care of and got what I needed. Hands down a great experience and I’d recommend them to anyone.
If you had a bad experience in the past and haven’t been back in a year or two, I’d definitely say give them another chance!

I tested my eyes at Cohens the last three times I needed glasses and contacts. As a new contact lense wearer I called to inquire about how the process of ordering new contacts worked and I asked if I needed a written prescription if I decided to order online from a website. Well, the lady that I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude. She gave me attitude the entire time. She also told me to ask whoever I was thinking about ordering from the question instead of them. It made me very upset how unprofessional and rude she was, I will NEVER go to Cohens again or recommend their services. They are expensive which was fine but combined with poor customer service skills… Forget it!

Overpriced, outdated glasses options. Poor customer service, the older lady that assisted me got very upset that I didn’t want to purchase the ugly overpriced designer glasses. Never again, better service found at JC Penney optical, the glasses choices are not designer but the service is top notch.

Over priced!
