This was a great breakfast! Tracy was our server and she was fantastic. We had four in our group and she made us feel right at home. Fresh coffee and wonderful food made for a great day! She was soooooo nice and made the dining experience as good as the wonderful food. Thank you Tracy!!! WEWILLBEBACK!!!

I love this restaurant! It’s clean and the food is awesome. My favorite waitress is Christina. She always goes above and beyond her duties. It’s great to have a lively person like her to greet you. Makes your meal that much better!

I love the food here! Every one of their staff members are friendly and the service is prompt. There is however a downside. This location is a little on the smaller scale and is constantly packed! I’m talking 25 – 30 minute waits on the average day(longer on holidays and weekends). If you can bear the wait you will be in pancake heaven!

I Love this place. Although we always get stuck with the same server. He is always rushing us through our meal and drops off the check before were done. It’s so irritating!

A couple of my girlfriends and I woke up starving and our first thought was brunch. Just around the corner was this gem. This is my first experience at OPH and it won’t be my last. The hostess was very kind letting us know the we will possibly have to wait a few minutes. Coming on a Tuesday afternoon, not a long wait necessary. Christina, very friendly, attentive, and personable was our server. I knew my girls and I were going to have a great dining experience from the moment she greeted us. Despite our difficult order, she made it happen with no attitude or feeling of annoyance. Ordering our beverages, we expected more for the price but were a little disappointed at the amount of juice we got. But after we drank some, man the orange and grapefruit juices were delicious and freshly squeezed. Worth it. All together we ordered migas and corn tortillas, egg Benedict, and something new on the menu(if I could remember the name correctly) coffee maple crêpe with bananas and walnuts, turkey bacon all with sides of avocado. As the food came out, another server helped Christina bring out our meals. Yay, for teamwork! As she placed the dishes down, the other server complimented on our orders and it made me more excited to eat! The portions were also pretty big and worth the money. I ordered the crêpe and it was delicious! Warm with just the right amount of sweetness, a bite of this bad boy and avocado is heaven in your mouth. Not to mention the bacon, crisped to perfection, to enhance the sweet and salty combination. A company that takes the time to care for their customers is one worth while. Minutes after we received our meals, the manager came to greet us and asked how everything tastes. Now that’s great service. Overall, my dining experience was excellent. The food was very appetizing from the appearance to the taste. Service was phenomenal from coming in to coming out. Highly recommend!

Like an upscale version of IHOP. should call ahead to see how long the wait time is because either can get really busy. Average wait time was about 20 – 30 minutes. I got the corned beef hash and eggs and it was accompanied by a short stack of buttermilk pancakes which were to die for. The hash was also the perfect blend of salty and savory and was completed by egg whites and complemented by Tabasco sauce. Service was efficient.

Yummy, Yum Yum in My Tum, Tum! We came in to fuel up before my son’s baseball tournament. We came in at 9:00 on a Sunday morning and there was not a wait yet. We were promptly seated by a friendly hostess. Out waitress was very sweet and answered all of my questions. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros. It had two eggs over easy on corn tortillas topped with rancheros sauce, sour cream, guacamole, refined beans, and a side of tortillas. The Hubby had Bacon and Eggs. It had three thick slices bacon and two scrambled eggs. It also came with three fluffy buttermilk pancakes. They also bring the warm maple syrup in a small individual carafe. That way other people’s cooties are not on it. My little hitter had 5 Dollar Combo. It came with 1 egg any style and 1 bacon strip and 5 small pancakes. He wanted chocolate chips added to it and our waitress said, «Sure, we can do that.» While we waited for our food to arrive they have a gentleman out front making balloon figurines and hats. My son had a batman made out of his balloons. My son was tickled that we had batman join us for breakfast. I asked for my iced tea to go and our waitress kindly made me a tea for the road. Wonderful meal not one complaint. Now, while on our way out at 10:00AM the place was on a wait and we could barely walk out the front door. Your best bet it to arrive early before the crowds get there.

I never have had to write a bad review, so this is my first one and I hope it will be my last!!! I picked OPH to meet my girlfriend for lunch as we don’t see each other very often. Our host tried to seat us at the table for 4 right in front of the kitchen. We asked to be seated somewhere else. So we got a booth that seated two. Our waitress was rude from the beginning and it got worse. Halfway when we were eating our meal she was offering us a «to go» cup for our tea. Really? We were still eating our lunch and talking. My friend and I were puzzled by that remark. And yes, she did have to bring us several refills of tea. Those glasses are small and really are for just juice. Getting back to the rude waitress. After our plates were cleared she told us we needed to pay our bill so she could get home and take care of her«PUPPY». She wanted to cash out so she could get her tip money. We were seated at 12:30 and pushed to make payment before 1:30!!! Not a very good experience. Other than that our food was really good.

I’ve been coming to the OPH for several years. The food and staff have always been great. Thick cut bacon is a favorite and they have the best buttermilk pancakes served with warm syrup. GABI is a staff member that has been there for years and is absolutely the best! She really cares about doing s great job and controls the front of the house very efficiently. She is friendly and kind to all patrons.

Went in for a quick breakfast my family was in town. Just regular breakfast nothing spectacular about it taste the same as the one in Las Vegas and the one back home in Upland California. Service was great if you’re going to eat some pancakes getting ready to fall asleep lol. I’m not a Denny’s or IHOP type of person but if you want to get breakfast this is your best bet enjoy

This place is awesome! I was I wasting both my time and money at IHop. This is going to be my breakfast place going forward. The waiter was amazing. She was helpful and always kept our coffee full. I’m going to try the apple pancakes next time we come!

The server never came back around after he dropped off the initial water and coffee. We had to ask for every refill and for straws. The eggs benedict was horrendous, I have never seen lumpy gritty hollandaise sauce before. There was mold in the bottom of my butter cup. Which I had spread on my pancakes. Thank goodness I saw it before I ate them. The server tried to tell me it was strawberry jam. I’ve never seen black strawberry jam and even if it was actually jam, why would strawberry jam be at the bottom of my Butter cup? Clearly they do not wash their stuff properly. No wonder there was such horrendous cleanliness, I saw an employee pick up a knife off the floor, proceed to eat something in the passage way to the kitchen while he was waiting for food. He never washed his hands. When I told him he should wash his hands he looks at me like I was crazy. It’s clear they do not focus on cleanliness at this location.

I was dreading what I thought would be an extremely long wait for a table on a Sunday morning at 10:45, but after less than 20 minutes wrangling my toddler outside on the patio, we were seated at a nice little booth and our drink orders were taken. Not bad at all. Almost every breakfast entrée that isn’t already big and sweet comes with a short stack of pancakes on the side. Gotta love that. And that short stack is fluffy and delicious and sucks up syrup like a SPONGE so beware of excess syrup intake… I like to see syrup on the plate so I kept adding more and more when it got absorbed and dang that was a lot of sugar. I ordered the corned beef hash with two sunny side up eggs. The eggs were slightly undercooked but not egregiously so, and that hash was just the right amount of salty. I’m a huge eater and couldn’t finish all of it(although I mopped that short stack UP). Great bang for your buck here. My kiddo’s meal included 3 silver dollar pancakes and her choice of protein. It was a little stingy as she only got ONE turkey sausage link. I imagine a larger child would have needed more meat than that? But she enjoyed it and it was priced fairly relative to kids menu prices at most restaurants in Frisco so I can’t really complain. I’d definitely return and try one of the scrumptious-looking ginormous pancake dishes I saw others enjoying. Nice family-friendly greasy-spoon place for brunch.

This review is for breakfast we ate on a weekday before 10am. The wait to be seated was less than 10 minutes. We were seated and I was accommodated for my disability, my assistive device could stay with me. Our waitress was very pleasant, immediately taking our beverage order. There were 3 in our party, including one child. The coffee was good, not too strong, I happen to like it that way. Our food was really good, between us we had a 2×2×2, a short stack of bacon [inside] pancakes, and a yogurt strawberry covered French toast platter. There was cooked bacon crumbled and cooked into the pancakes; I felt more bacon could have been added. All fresh, hot and yummy. We had a leisurely breakfast, we didn’t feel rushed. You pay at the front register on your way out. Tasty.

This has become another annual tradition– business trip to Plano kicked off by a sugar coma after dining at the Original Pancake House. I’m sure the others in the all day meeting appreciated my catatonic state as I digested the mountain of deliciousness I consumed just prior. I had the apple bake which took maybe 15 minutes to prepare but was well worth the wait. I couldn’t even down half, 3 could probably share it! I’ll be back next year!

I hadn’t been here in quite some time due to me working so much, but I finally took time out of my busy schedule to get a fantastic breakfast meal at The Original Pancake House. The establishment is quite busy, but the workers were quite fast, polite and efficient, which definitely made the wait not as excrutiating as one would expect it to be when your stomach is eating itself because you’re beyond starving. As soon as we were seated, service was great, even amongst the craziness. I’ve been to this restaurant several times when it wasn’t busy and the food quality was beyond fabulous. I definitely expected food quality to be slightly lower than when it’s less busy, but to my surprise, it was still just as wonderful. The omelettes are HUGE but so tasty. I always get the ham & cheese omelette, but they have other omelettes that you can choose from. The pancakes… AMAZING. Especially their banana pancakes! I’ve had many items off the menu here and I have yet to be disappointed at any of them! I highly recommend The Original Pancake House and my stomach for sure recommends it.

For how busy this place was, and the reviews out there I thought it would be amazing. It was decent, but nothing special… more like a regional IHOP with smaller portions. Let’s start there; the main pancakes were small, as were the portions of everything. The prices are hefty, near outrageous for breakfast. Many mention the Orange juice… it was fresh and delicious, but at almost $ 5 it should be. With the exorbitant rates and waits, you would be better served eating at home or a local diner.

This morning I decided to treat myself to breakfast. The Original Pancake House was the perfect place. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and banana pancakes and fresch squeezed orange juice. I love the amount of hollandaise sauce they put on the eggs benedict. They were good I must say!!! I like crabcake eggs benefit better but they don’t have them here. No big deal, I still like these as well. My banana pancakes were FABULOUS!!! I was like a little kid eating them. The next time I will just order those and be happy. Everything about them were perfect. My orange juice was fresh squeezed and you could tell. If they could filter out some of the thick pulp it would be appreciated. I can’t wait to bring my daughter so she can try the chocolate chocolate chip pancakes. Yes. .I will be back. LoL
