The quality of food is good but not the service. I asked for 8 samosa and cashier said I will have to wait for 20 – 25 mins. When I said ok, he said it may take upto 40 – 45 mins. I said ok, I will come back after 45 mins. He again checked with other persons and came back that they won’t be able to fulfil the order so I won’t get anything. I said you can give me a waiting time but cannot just say that you won’t make it now. Its not near to EOD. It was 4:30 pm. but he said he can’t help anything. very unprofessional behavior.

Compared to the other indian stores, i would say this place is much better. Nice & spacious. Usually the produce they sell on weekdays are not really fresh. I would rather shop in this store on the weekends. And the chat house in the store is to die for. Love it.

Nice Indian grocery store and especially good little eatery inside it. Chat is good and South Indian tiffins are too good especially with a side(I don’t know what exactly it is but it is some powder mixed with oil: D)

Nice grocery store overall. There is a nice restaurant which makes really nice indian vegetarian food. It is pretty clean inside and the staff is friendly. The prices are not expensive.

so-so. neither great nor bad. I prefer India bazar over taj most of the times. Taj is generally slow at replenishing their stock. Especially frozen food section.

I had never been to an Indian store and found it fascinating. I have needed some fresh Turmeric Root and was able to find to different colors reasonably priced. I use this for medicinal reasons. I so so much there and was surprised to see my husband wandering and looking at different items as I am the inquisitive one and the more open to new ideas. Yet, I had to look for him a couple of times and he was just looking at the different food items. We will go back as I need to find more information about the flours they carry. I do not know if there is coconut flour or what types other than wheat and rice will ask the nice clerk the next time I go back. This blonde fair haired old lady had a great time. :-)

First Impression after spending 10 minutes inside the shop on opening day: Taj Grocers opened in Plano this past weekend. A huge Indian grocery store with well laid out aisles. Did a sensible job of separating the Produce to the back of the store. They also have other establishments like Hot Breads, Agha Juice and the famous Taj Chaat House inside this grocery store. Each of these establishment have a dedicated area and does not intrude into the grocery section. I like the fact that Taj Chaat house(though smaller in area than the Irving location) is well laid out inside a special enclosure. Did not get a chance to spend much time, since it was painfully crowded and had long waits at various counters. Will do a food visit soon with review to follow. Cheers/
