Nestled in downtown Plano, there’s this antique store. I’m not a fan of antique stores, but I honestly did like this one. Most of these unique furnitures are made of real wood, and the quality shows. If the wood is reclaimed, it’ll be hard to tell — but they do have a wood shop in the back. Maybe some don’t have easy rollers for the drawers, but the wood is really the priciest part of any furniture. And that’s the other thing — many of the things I saw here, I felt like I could buy, and also afford. The prices of the things here are superb, considering how overpriced some other antique shops tend to be that they normally collect dust. Not here. So if you’re looking for pieces of furniture to add character to your room, be sure to stop here in downtown Plano. It’s quite a find.

My wife and I stumbled upon the shop this weekend. We found some great pieces and pricing seemed reasonable. We went ahead and purchased one item today. Looking forward to visiting again and seeing what else we may decide to pick up.

I came here yesterday with my family while we were in Plano. We were blown away by the variety of products that Sutton Place had and the level of artistry that went into them. They places a few gorgeous pieces outside on clearance and I ended up buying a beautiful, bamboo table/stand that was on clearance. I was able to talk him down another $ 10 and I walked away with a $ 40 steal! My hubby and I will be back as I decorate our new apartment :)

I have purchased several tables/trunks from SP over the past 4 years and love this place. The reclaimed wood trunks are fantastic and so reasonably priced — you don’t have to worry about paying boutique prices. Ask questions while you’re there — some of the furniture has an interesting back story. I am serious when I say the teak trunk(used as a coffee table) I have owned for 4 years is unscathed and this is in a house with 3 dogs and a wild toddler. It is indestructible and I recommend SP’s teak to anyone with an active household.

Nice, larger pieces available for reasonable prices. I fell in love with many of the pie saves and secretary desks, but alas, I could not take them all home with me. Actually, I couldn’t take any of them home with me because I have a somewhat small Toyota and it can only handle so much stuff. You know? The shopkeeper was nice and kept his distance and didn’t make us feel like we were being watched by an attentive bird of prey. My sister and I have been frequenting antique shops since we were kids and we’re well-trained when it comes to the appropriate behavior for a young lady in an antique shop. I would definitely send someone over to these guys if they were looking for an antique desk, console table, or armoire. These guys have the market covered in that regard for sure. And did I mention they were really reasonable as well? There were several pieces I wish I could have snapped up, but it just wasn’t in the cards this time. Maybe I should start driving to Dallas in a moving van…
